  • were did you buy those markers? there really cool

  • What did you use to outline?

  • what types of pens are those??

  • Do they smudge on the marker when you put one color on top of another?

  • nice coloring skills

  • You can use the cover of a fish aquarium instead of an expensive light box. just put a glass over the lamp

  • i need thesee markers! -.-

  • what copic markers colors did u use on the hair

  • how much did you buy your light box fore? how much and where?

  • @wishingstars390022 The light box cost me $150AUD from a local art store in Melbourne

  • aww~ really cute drawing and the colouring in is amazing~

do you have a deviantart account? if not you should get one cos these drawings are kawaii~ ^-^

  • what do you use to hold the drawing down? Whenever I use a light box or tracing paper, it always moves on me and the lines get messed up and i can't get them to match back up. But yours didn't move at all.

  • @squidy2343 I use simple normal tape.

  • @Aprilkocka Exactly which kind of copic markers did you use to color in your drawing?

I have some copic markers but the way your tip operates seems different. Yours act more like an actual marker/ pen tip, while mine sometimes acts like a paintbrush, which makes detailed coloring hard.

  • @MrComboman2 Looks like the brush to me. It's doable to make it a bit more fine with the brush.. tool..part thing. Just need to use next to no pressure and let the ink run. Might take a few times to go over, but it works rather well D:

  • @MrComboman2 I believe it's the brush tip. All you need to do is add very, VERY little pressure to the marker, and onlylet the tip of the brush thing touch the drawing. Pressure isn't needed to color with markers. The only difference it makes is the thin or thickness of the line. ...Well, it does make more of a difference with copic markers, but nothing stops from going over a few times. What I want to know is how it blended so perfectly. xD;.. And how that lineart looks so amazing. ;c

  • @squidy2343 It depends on what size light box you have, I used to have a tiny one and the picture wouldn't stay still D:

but than I baught a bigger on and it's alot easier to hold it down in one place ^-^

but I guse masking tape could work, or blue tack maybe~

    I hape this helped :)

  • I was just going to watch this and go on with my Life... until I Heard RO...

    Now it's a FAVE.

  • appauscherrin

  • whats the # for that blue you use over the skin :3?

  • how do you make it blend so well?

  • i wish these markers were cheaper but 300 bux a set will put me in the poorhouse

  • Scale out of ten AWSOME!

  • is this a sound from the game maple story???

  • nop, ragnarok online. :P

  • I love that chibi! just CUTE! I love the stitching on the boots!

Question: are those copics the sketch ones?

and what kinds of copics do you recommend?

  • @Kawaiibubbleschan1 Yes, there are the Copic Sketch markers. And this type is the best I guess, since they have the most colours (more than 300) and they hold a lot of ink, so you don't have to refill them that often. However, they're more expensive than Copic Ciao, which are pretty much just like Sketches. Only they hold less ink and have less colours (144).

Both Copic Sketch and Ciao have two nibs - a broad chisel one and a brush one.

  • What's up with the blue marker :O ?

  • it's an opposite color on the color wheel than the red, giving it a dark shadow-like look. :3

  • aww you are a very good drawer!

  • i want a lightbox for tracering [ grammer escapes me XD i are that bad at it XD], where do u get one and how much do they cost?

  • @princesstomboy

all you really need is a glass table and a nice bright light underneath. it works just as well but if u dont have a glass table that allows this then i think investing in a lightbox might be better

  • She is so cute! I love the little details too! Nice work on the coloring too!

  • Let me guess, ragnarok online player? xD

I know that music from some place in the game and also the clothes of the girl remind me of some class, Nice turorial <3

  • can you plz tell me what music this is...

  • pretty~ i like the music too

  • so cute

  • lolz u may think this is a dum question but wat r copics? plz reply

  • professional grade markers.

over 300 colors, great flow and blending. veeery expensive, but u can see the quality

  • copics are a brand of a alcohol based markers and pens

  • My god! I want to play Ragnarok Online again <3 hahahaha~

  • You're very talented!

I love all the little details you put into her <3

I just got Copics, and this'll help a lot!

  • hell yah ragnorak is AWESOME >:P

  • Wow u draw really precicely.

  • I just got some copics for my graduation...they're hard to blend with (in my opinion) so thats why i'm watching this.......i hope it will help.

  • It's easy... Where the shades meet (lighter and darker tones) I simply go over on the 2 or more colors with the lighter color and blend them together.

  • these markers are like 8$ each they must be good.

  • Rly? I paid 4.60 for them

  • cool~~~

i wish i can do that someday ^-^

  • are you using Copic Sketch markers?

  • no just normal not Sketch.

  • I saw how much they were and I was like "what the cheese?" they are kind of expensive, from the offers I've seen. I really wish I could have copic markers. I heard that CLAMP (artists of Cardcaptors and Chobits) use them.

  • and tsubasa!(chii is in here 2)and XXXholic(sister manga to tsubasa)and that one about the little boy detective(frogot name Xd)(never watched/seen)

  • yeah!! Tsubasa and xxxholic rox! i think ur talking about Case Closed Detective Konan or something.....

  • I had never heard of copic markers before. How do you draw so neatly and perfectly! I could never make such perfect lines. I start to shake and mess it all up. What kind of black marker are you using?

  • you drawing awsomee

    thxs

  • sorry for the weird typo "Would have found this helpful...."

  • I found have found this helpful if you would have given a lil bit more info while coloring. Ex: txt on the screen or you describing your techniques and colors you used, and why you chose them. thanks for posting.

  • thanks, I will keep that in mind next time.

  • Comment removed

  • OMG! Nice drawing...

The song makes me miss playing RO already xD.

  • when you was doing the skin coloring you was using a dark bluish marker is that like blender or is it a darker grey and what kind of paper did you use

  • wow, it looks like you colored it on the computer.

HEY, u have the exact same copic markers as i do!!!!!!!!!

  • what are they called ?

  • whoa. I found this really useful! Great job. :)

  • what's this music? it's so soothing

  • the music is from an online game "ragnarok online" ^^

very nice tut! it's really helpfull =D

  • Wow awesome drawing~

i draw alot and stuff and i use colored pencils and always wanted copic markers. and i was wondering how much are copic markers like basic types kind of thing. plz and ty.

  • Are you gonna do another one on coloring the face?

  • The music sounds like RO...

  • i thought the drawings look like RO :P

  • hey is there a difference between a lightbox and one of those projecter things they use at schools and stuff?

  • i bet u could use that!! i made my own lightboz...i got a glass table and put a touch-lamp under it lol

  • Yeah, a lightbox is a glass box that you use to trace over things with. A projector is a tool you use to project an image on to a screen or wall. :)

  • Wow, was für eine sicher Handführung...geil!!! Ich kann zwar auch ziemlich gut zeichnen, aber das ist echt geil!

  • Wow... COPIC markers are really expensive. My jaw dropped when I saw how expensive they are. Yikes... I really want some.

  • @sabakyuugaara for me I just bought without looking at the price tag I just went with it and plus at the particular art store they give a discount! yay

  • @sabakyuugaara how much are they?! XD

  • @samnseq89 around £50-£140

  • @thedogdiaries Oh alright.

  • @sabakyuugaara same i couldnt belive the price :0

  • omg zakon! bog te ma ocitno RES rad xD

  • niti ne :P

se gre samo za vajo in vstrajnost ;)

  • Lol RO Bgm I like it.

    Very helpful, thanks.

  • So you shade with diffrent colors!! Brilliant!! I'm new to copic markers so I'm trying to figure out how they work. LOl

  • I HAS LIGHTBOX :D WOO

I have the unipens aswell but i got the 5 pack =3

Sadly i am only using Letraset ProMArkers, i needs me some Copic o-o lol

  • how much $ were they?

  • Its about a good $8.99 per colour (or $79.99 for like a 12 set, it all depends if you're getting copic SKETCH or copic CIAO [copic SKETCH is expensive, but lasts longer than CIAO, but CIAO's less expensive, but wears off quickly], they're quite expensive nevertheless, and wouldn't recommend buying them until you feel you have some firm steadiness in colouring. But when you do, have fun with them. ^_^

  • at hobby lobby, they're 6$

  • awesome tut! you color so neatly <3 i wish i had copics, too.

the songs were so adorable <3

  • You're amazing in drawing details, costumes, etc. And colouring too. I need to try expirementing more with my colours these days. B: Darn you. xD

  • omG I need a light box, but they don't even exist in my country... it sucks -.-

    Nice coloring, loved it<3

  • you can always get one from eBay

  • A copying machine always does wonders too, you can get one of those~

  • that's a good idea.. but they're too expensive :( [both things xD]

  • Haha, that's true. Well there's a way to be cheap about it, like you can go to the closest place that has a copy machine and pay like 10¢ a copy, or if you wanna be super cheap in copying but don't want the lightbox (and happen to have a transparent table [e.g. glass table]), get a flashlight, put the original under a blank paper and under the table put the flashlight right under the paper, and copy from there~

  • Yup, I was going to do that (the glass table and the light under); thing is.. I'm living in a house that's not mine, and I can barely fit my bed in the room so, there's no space for it yt :(

I use the window LOL that's all there is for now.

    Thanks for answering!

  • I used my computer screen.lol

  • lol i've done that too XD

  • what is that black pen call ?

  • watch the video and read ^___^

  • what do you use for a "outline Pencil"?

sorry my english is bad... i know...

  • watch the video. it says what I use at the very beginning.

  • im thinking of going into copic markers but they are so expensive so is there any first few colours that i should buy? please advice ^^

  • I cant help you on that... I was collecting all my 70 shades for half a year before even trying using them.

  • lol i missed the music of trickster ~.~

  • its not Trickster but Ragnarok.

  • Could I ask where you could buy these copic markers? I saw you on Gaia. xD I have seen art similar to this, this must of been what they used after all. xP And I am watching you on DA. ;D Anyway thanks for the much appreciated tutorial. <333

  • what are you using to trace? I think they are called light boxs..? whatever it is I wanna buy one how do I get one :(

  • yes it is called a light box. they are pretty difficult to find :S I bought mine (A4 size) for 200$ dollars in an Art Shop. In the worst case buy one from eBay.

  • you can go check out ac moore or micheals, they have lots in all different sizes~

  • I want 2 kno were do u get your liners from

  • from my University's bookshop and also every single art and craft store

  • The artwork is amazing, have you been published yet? If not, do you plan to soon?

  • what do you mean if I have been published?

  • I mean has your artwork been published and copyrighted, or like... you as a popular artist on the internets.

  • no it hasnt been published in an artbook or anything. I dont sell my anime related work. but yes, the copyright is still mine except for the character idea which is an official ragnarok character.

I am not popular enough as an artist probably because I dont draw enough and don't upload my work on the internet much.

  • have you heard of deviant art?

  • you may want to read the info of the video

  • My brother said one of them is a donkey kong song:?

  • no, all of them are original Ragnarok soundtracks.

  • whats the name of the second song? i think i heard it be4. and great job

  • ummm all of the songs are original Ragnarok soundtracks but I didnt write down the names of the ones I used so I cant help you :(

  • oh ok no problem

  • ok yea its sorta late to say this but the songs are (in order)

    1. Peaceful Forest

    2. Tread on the ground

    3. Theme of Prontera

    4. Streamside

coloring on that pic is nice @.@ im thinking of maybe getting some markers soon :P

  • Wow, this is really cool. I love seeing the process that different artists go through in order to create their work. I devwatch you on DA as Caelhath. Keep up the awesome work!!!

  • thanks a lot for your support! :) I will post more process videos soon and I hope you will like them ^^
