while i agree with this partially as i see it there is a point where if u dont have enough of it then it causes a decrease such as with friends, one could argue u get used to having alot of friends and the happiness it brings, and if u had fewer friends u would get used to it and then it would make u just as happy, but if u have no friends then your happiness would suffer because their ability to keep u happy in unhappy situations would be removed, i can only assume it applies to other things

Dean could you talk about "disorders" (they should be called weaknesses or problems IMO) and how people should not use them for an excuse for their or their children's actions? This seems obvious but I don't think it is to a lot of people. A word of hate towards the pharmaceutical companies would be great too. It only has -minimal- changes made to it, and I played the original a lot and enjoyed it, and still -have- the original, but I've been feeling like I -need- the remake. I think this video finally made me decide to keep my money.
This can actually be used as an arguement against the existance of heaven or hell. If heaven and hell are eternal, and happiness is relative, there is no difference in our state of welfare if we go to heaven or go to hell. Therefore, it would be a pointless creation, so a god or diety would not do that.
The thing is if you are better than the competition you will procreate better and more, pure biology; so it is relative wealth rather than absolute! Now where did I hear everything is relative?? hm.......
You have permanently made myself analyse everything around me and about myself. It has not really made me happier but I am able to stop myself feeling sad or depressed by now looking at what has made me depressed and after I understand the what caused it I reflect on whether or not it has any significance on my life therefore I just pick myself up and move on with my life but it is now the same with stuff that makes me feel happy. I reflect on it and soon realize it neither has significance :P.

@DeanLeysen interesting that u take this view on happiness, and while it makes a lot of sense, i think there is a lot more to it. For instance it would be a good idea to discuss Maslow's hierarchy of needs and how it affects us. also, most religions offer a view of happiness that might be relevant.

Some of it is wikipedia and so on.
All information has to come from somewhere, and the internet is simply a network of millions of computers connecting to each other to share information.
Be it information on music, "funny videos" or philosophy the internet is the current way that we share information.
Dean, I think you should write a book. A book in the same style as your videos, i.e. making complex academic topics both entertaining and easily accessible to people who do not have a doctorate. What I was thinking is that you should, easier said than done i know, is create a kind of 'pop' phycology/neurology book, and who knows, perhaps you could a have Freakanomics on your hands.

Isn't this actually just a perspective, a way to see life? Some people would be happy for their entire life if they won at the lottery, say they don't have money, and some would not even be amazed.
And this whole chasing thing; always a new thing, better, newer etc. That's how life is. If we would have stopped setting up new goals, we would have been living in caves.
But i think this is a great video anyways. And perhaps I misunderstood...

@crywolf30 He has a channel called OGfurious filled with him acting like a complete idiot that is insanely popular along with Athenewins which he acts with.They act like idiot douche-bag trolls and are one of the most popular teams on youtube, (I watch those videos as well and they are hilarious). Many people just don't appreciate intelligent educational videos, even if they are simplified for entertainment purposes.

I live in Germany and I had the shittiest job, had to work too damn much and I always had to worry about if I was able to pay my bills. Never had any money to have fun.
Well, I fell in love with a wonderful woman, moved in with her and after we got together, I noticed she has a lot of money.
Well, I am happier than before, because I have less stress and a wonderful woman.
The luxury that we have. I appreciate it even more when I look back at my bad times.

@DeanLeysen interesting that u take this view on happiness, and while it makes a lot of sense, i think there is a lot more to it. For instance it would be a good idea to discuss Maslow's hierarchy of needs and how it affects us. also, most religions offer a view of happiness that might be relevant.

Your question is a bit to vague to answer but a lot of it is simply just google.
the majority of data is on the internet and very little isn't on the internet that exists somewhere else.
Clearly a large portion of his knowledge is from the education he has received that being classes books etc.
But the majority of all that information is somewhere on the internet you simply have to learn how to find it.

you can usually find someone who knows the information and can give you links to articles etc.
Some of it is wikipedia and so on.
All information has to come from somewhere, and the internet is simply a network of millions of computers connecting to each other to share information.
Be it information on music, "funny videos" or philosophy the internet is the current way that we share information.

Dean, I think you should write a book. A book in the same style as your videos, i.e. making complex academic topics both entertaining and easily accessible to people who do not have a doctorate. What I was thinking is that you should, easier said than done i know, is create a kind of 'pop' phycology/neurology book, and who knows, perhaps you could a have Freakanomics on your hands.
Just a thought. keep making the vids. I think this and skateboarding dogs is what YouTube should be used for.
