  • Would this be a good bass for someone whos learning? Im trying to buy one im just scared of buying something that wont sound good.

  • has little buzzing but still sounds good

  • halo org Indonesia ya ? keren hehe

mau nanya nih mnding affinity ato vintage 70 ?

  • Hi, I think it's a great sounding bass. Maybe you should pay some attention to a proper setup of the neck and bridge. If you buy it second hand, take a look at the prices in you music shop first. These basses aren't very expensive if you buy them new. Good luck!

  • Hello there

I', 16 years old and I've been playing the bass for 2 years now. And I want to buy a bass guitar. My neighbour is selling Fender squier affinity jazz bass guitar. It looks the same as in the video, but I just wanted to ask if you would recommend me this bass. I'm not a specialist so I just wanted to know someones opinion who has this bass.

    Thanks.

  • @kettsuke how much is he selling the bass for?

  • @yhtomitalmighty He's asking 300 €

  • @yhtomitalmighty at thomann-cyberstore it costs 250 €

  • Hey, I've got a P-bass and am considering trading it for a J. I know the J is more versatile, but can it get the same warm tones as the P?

  • i kinda want this jst for fun because i still don't own a jazz bass...

  • Level 42,eat your heart out,great playing,keep it up.

  • put some seymour duncan quarter pounds on this babe and it sounds like a beast

  • This bass can hold it's tune for a long time, it's pretty impressive

  • Any mods on this bass?

  • @sachamun Nope...

  • @mixpebz

Well there's nothing fragile about this bass. Everything seems solid so I'd say go for it!

  • Hey man. I was just wondering about the durability on this thing. Given I take care of my instrument, how long do you think it will last?

  • The first riff kinda sounded like 43 from Level 42

  • i love this bass

got the same, my sweet saskia^^

  • @cornycor im just a beginner and cant decide between this and the p-bass? do u think it will make a diffrence to me or what?

  • @eireeireeireeire

Hi, the jazzbass offers a more versatile sound. Good luck!

  • heh heh nice

  • i just bought this bass today, its mind blowing!!! so cheap and the sound quality is the best for the price!!!

definetly my favourite of all my basses

  • I'm considering the purchase now. This sounds nice and isn't too expensive!

  • I love this video as it shows that squier basses can sound awesome in the right hands.

Ive owned American,Japenese and Mexican Precisions and i love precision basses.

The Fender Snobs will hate this video because it sounds so good on such a cheap bass.

Good on ya Squier your doing the Bass community proud

  • shows how it's not the bass, it's the player

  • Is this good for some metal? Or maybe good on very light dist?

  • @ac23AQ if you use the bridge pickup with the tone open it sounds pretty good.

  • do u think this would sound good for punk music? like blink and green day?

  • @WrapdInStripez i have the same bass and play the same music and it sounds ok

  • NICE

  • I just ordered one, can't for it to come :D

  • If you can play like that why the fuck do you buy a squier???

  • @Lordiownage He's using a $300 dollar effects board which costs more than the guitar itself. I'm sure he owns many different basses, he is probably just showcasing this one.

  • Holy shit this guy makes me angry at how well he does funk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It sounds just like Old School Incubus!!! 90's!

  • Hello there :)

I'm 13 years old and I've been playing bass for 1& a 1/2 years now. Right now I have a Ritter p-bass, In this guitar shop near me I've seen a Affinity Squire J-bass, it's only £200. Would you recommend me buying it? Thanks. :)

  • @kurdizaky Yes, I think it offers great value for money. Good luck!

  • I just got the red one as an early birthday present. All I can say is AWSOME BASS!!!!!!

  • nice!

    i like it, good playing:)

  • was that first lil bit slowed down mark king style?

  • Do u have the tabs of the first slap riff plz ?

  • i have the same bass

  • @gabbb3456 how is it im thinking of buying one. i prefer a J-bass and this id the onlyone my wallet will allow me to buy

  • the sound is good at best for the price of the bass alone also because of the use of cheaper wood for the body causes the control panel to be torn out if you try to yank out the cord, and the "horn" (the part with the strap hook) completely broke off(i never droped it or swung it around just broke for its own weight) where it meets the body. took it to GC and they refunded me store credit got an other and the same things happened within a month.

  • Awesome playing..

  • You sound pretty good man. thinking about getting one. have played a squier affinity pbass?

  • Dude it's me againg (i hope i'm not bothering) as i said i'm getting this in one month but im just curious i hear that this pack comes with some accesories (besides the bass and the amp) but what accesories it includes? sorry for bothering you again. hope you can help me. thanks :)

  • Hi. I bought this second hand, so I can't tell what was in the original pack.

  • packs always come with the pretty standard stuff so its gonna be like a gigbag, patch chord, a tuner, a couple picks, strap etc etc and the bass and amp which you already mentioned lol

  • It includes a bass guitar, an amp, cords, headphones, tuner, gig bag, and an official Fender Bass Beginner's Tutorial CD. All for $340 CDN :D Totally worth it imho

  • @weezerAlien What you get with Squier Affinity Jazz Bass and Rumble 15 Amp Bass Package: Bass Guitar

    Gig Bag

    Amp

    Tuner

    Strap

    Cable

    Headphones

    Instructional DVD

  • wew.

  • Hi! Dude you're awesome with the bass...i'm a guitar player but recently decided i'm going to buy myself a bass as a birthday gift. I am not a bass player but because i have played guitar for about 4 years i dont suck haha i was going to buy a precision (squier) but a few weeks ago saw exactly this bass at the store and i think i like this a lot more...and btw you make it sound reaally nice...do you recommend this bass ? thank you :)

  • Hi weezerAlien, go for it man! Buy that bass. But beware, every individual bass is different, so keep your eyes and ears open. Also don't forget that I added a bit of compression on this recording. Good luck!

  • Yeah i actually tried a couple of those and a precision (that comes in a pacj too) and i choose the one that sounded better, now i have to pay 100 dolars and in one month the bass will be mine :D

You are awesome ;) oh and im drunk btw so sorry if i wrote something wrong :S

  • Well you go ahead with your bad self!!!!!!!

  • Hi,

I think Squier offers great value for money, and has the Fender tone. Don't worry about strings, you can buy a set of light strings, like size .040 .060 .080 .100.

    Good luck!

  • I wanna buy my brother this for his Birthday as a first gift, could some one maybe tell me if it's a good idea? He likes fenders, is new, and needs the strings to beable to be held down easy.

  • mine's in the mail.....

    great playing!!

  • Is it very heavy beacuse i once came across a 4 string bass and when I kinda lift the bass in one hand, it left like my arm is going to break. Please help me see if it is THAT heavy...Thanks!

  • Hi,

I'd say it's weight is medium. Why don't you try it in the shop?

  • any major fret issues? i need a backup fretted bass (my main is fretless) and im worried about fret issues, like reoccurring fret buzz, or sharp edges

  • Frets on this specific Squier are fine. Doesn´t mean it´s the same elsewhere. Maybe the pickups are a bit noisy. Good luck!

  • Awesome! I'm looking at getting one of these as as my first bass, I didn't know it sounded so god.

  • Thanks. Yes, they are great value for money. Maybe a bit noisy, but you can allways upgrade the electronics. Cor.

  • Hi! Do you have to take it in to a store for that, or is it something you do yourself? And do you know if the pickguard can be changed? I'm looking to get one.

  • Hi SeoulSarah, If you've never seen a soldering iron before I recommend you'd have somebody else replace your pickups or electronics. And sure, the pickguard can be changed. Good luck finding a bass!

  • Lol thx! I actually ordered a metallic red affinity j-bass a few days ago! I've never been so excited lol.

  • im getting a 60s jazz bass but i like this 1 2

  • is this an active guitar?

  • No, nothing active about it:)

  • hi,

very nice. i got two affinity. they sound better as my american jazz5.

  • awesome, is the fender amp good?

  • Yes, it's quite powerfull for a cheap 15W amp. And it sounds nice and warm.
