spiking is a bitch thing to do. Anytime i see someone spike, i see a bitch. simple as that. that being said, its generally accepted that people can spike and one might as well suck it up because it is rarely if ever meant to offend the other team. I've seen people spiked though, and that's messed up, where you spike the person. That catch was pretty cool, but why ruin it with personal flamboyance?

It's when you throw the disc down (or up) hard after catching a goal. As stated, if done carelessly, it can ruin a disc. Generally it's frowned upon in any form though.

what is wrong with spiking the disc, seems that some people have the impression that anyone who spikes a disc is insulting the other team. Spiking is a form of celebration when done right, like this guy did.

the problem with spiking is that it can bend the disc and cause it to wobble when its thrown and not fly straight. if u spike it face down its not a big deal but if u spike it really hard on the edge, itll bend and wobble.

I get that ultimate is all spirit of the game and what not, but I dont think that spirit of the game meant to take emotions out of ultimate. I think a non disc warping spike after a spectacular play is just fine.
