cool. sometimes I find myself overplaying, which I know is not good. Been playing about 4 years and still taking lessons so I am always looking for tips such as the one you shared.
play 2 and 4 and just stay on it as long as you can ...no fills , no extra shit ... just play a groove ... five minutes later you will notice how immense it has gotten ... like a small snowball that gathers steam on the way down the hill ... the same snowball but now its huge and a force to be reckoned with

The kick pedal feels a bit weird with my work boots on.
Playing in the pocket is the most important thing you can work on.
