  • at 1:53 did he say motherboard or motorboard

  • @MrEnterainment mother

  • great, now I can build a computer lol! :)

  • I am selling a Nvidia 500 series graphics card for $175. Message me if interested!?

  • Hi, i want to make my custom computer (not for hard core gaming) but a normal one. There are many many varieties of motherboards to choose from. there are cheap ones and the expensive ones... Which one do i get?

  • @computerguyied well remember that the motherboard is the most important part of your computer so I wouldn't get a cheap one. Since you aren't making a gaming computer, you could actually just get a motherboard with on board graphics and wouldn't even need a graphics card, anyway it really depends on how much you want to spend overall on your computer.

  • @computerguyied Look around online. Buy a decent one with an integrated video card (GPU) Extra RAM slots and either AMD or Intel processor. Choose a processor that suits your need.

  • for a way more in-depth tutorial series in text and some in video, check out my new blog @ owenstechworld(dot)tk

  • will my gigabyte ga-z68ap-d3 motherboard fit into my cooler master 430 elite case?

  • i opened a old computer of mine and found these white belt things what are they? do i have to buy them? seperatly ?

  • no gpu? that computer is gonna suck

  • hi allen

  • operating system? you forgot the %&*$%#@ operating system.

  • how the fuck do you upload 138 551 videos!?

  • @tech0dude123

this is a group making how to videos. so its not one person

  • @tech0dude123 they have instructional vids for like everything lol

  • @tech0dude123 Hire thousands of people to make videos for your channel...

  • hopefully u dont use all those parts cuzz they suck

  • Does anyone know of a good gaming cpu? (other than the i7)

  • @BodyBuilder454 well i would recomend the i7 there are cheaper ones but i just want to make sure i have a good one because if alienware is using it i'm gonna use it some people say it sucks but i'm building my own and i'm going to use some parts that other big companies use blus it's worth it in the long run

  • @BodyBuilder454 the overclockable version of the i5 will run just about anything pretty well

  • can you send me a free fresh card?

  • Dont call me stupid, but is it possible to have a computer run with out a case? wouldnt a case just keep everything in one spot and keep it from being ruined by dust etc?

  • @XxCollballxX yep its possible

  • @XxCollballxX You do realize the case acts like protection. From dust, and anything getting on it. If you spill water even by accident on any component, since all components are plugged into each other, it can potentially fry that certain component, and other components as well :/ . I don't think warranty covers that.

  • @ilikefish54 fuck off you dick. why the fuck are u even commenting on a video like this? obz some sad 12 year old cunt that knows nothing. stfu dickhead.

  • videos toooooooooooooooooo old. update please

  • Oh yeah, building a a custom personal computer computer. Like when I flip up my phone, and it says: "Do you want to search for a wireless WLAN network?"

  • his name sounds funny if u look in the description allen gottfried lol poor allen forgot to switch the power off while working on his computer

  • You know this is an old video when he is talking about maybe putting in a floppy drive! Haha!

  • @SuperTwixRules better to be safe than sorry :)

  • nice vid, i am new to building pcs and im just about to start building my first rig but im not sure what power supply i need? what amount of watts will i need? does it matter? or does it depend on how many other things im running off my motherboard? my motherboard is:

    Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H

i will be using the HAF 912 plus case, 8GBs of ddr3, AMD phenom II X4 995 BE a 1GB graphics card etc pls help

  • floppy?????? what is that????... LOL

  • @xthatoneguyx my wang ;)

  • @xthatoneguyx are you 8 years old?

  • @xRyuBu i am 22 years old my birthday was 10 days ago.... and chill out bro... it was only a joke... =/ dont take it so serious =) hope you are enjoying this holiday season! =)

  • he said make sure the case is long enough and not to small so you have room to play with things and expand... lol

  • you have 138 thousand videos.....wtf?

  • @michealang1 holy shit, even i am surprised

  • @scir91 same

  • Would custom building be cheaper than buying a full computer?

  • @NevaSayNoToPanda it really depends. most pre-made desktops are made with moderate+ components. it honestly depends on what type of components you decide to put into your custom desktop. Do some research to find out if it would be cheaper to make your own or to buy a premade

  • @NevaSayNoToPanda plus4ty4 is right, but to put it in more simple terms, if you spent 1.5g on parts to custom build, you'd definitely have a much superior computer compared to one you'd pick up at a retail store or even a premade one from a computer store. Ofcourse, it helps if you know how to put it all together aswell cause the computer store i've been to charges around 80 dollars for installation at the least so obviously that's money that could be well spent buying better parts.

  • @NevaSayNoToPanda For a basic computer for surfing etc i'd buy a pre-made one... for gaming i'd make one myself

  • say:and of coarse we need a motherboard,love it!!!!

  • @MinttyDizzy hahah no hahaha yes hahaha hahahaha im not telling youhahahahaha

  • No dedicated GPU?

  • WTF, i saw a video about Dental Health also made by expertvillage...lol

  • expertvillage really need to their movie in order to follow the step

  • This video is 2.6 years old. I listened to a few minutes of it and realized, mmm I need clearer thinking. Let me explain my reasoning. He starts out, "first choose a case". Then he said "make sure the motherboard can fit in the case you choose." Whoops, what's wrong with that? Should be obvious, you need to choose the motherboard before you choose the case.

(Error Sound) That's enough for me. Following his directions will get me stuck so I'll keep looking. Thanks for your time.

  • @dreamervanroom Well, motherboards will fit in most cases so long as their in ATX or micro ATX form factors.

  • they make it easy nowadays. The CPU case usually has the fans, dvd drives, outputs + inputs, and sometimes a powersupply.

  • @Strafespar the CPU case has a psu? YOUR SO FUCKING STUPID!

  • @killersullo Sorry. I was making a conjecture + bad sentence structure. Is it really necessary to say that I am "F**KING STUPID!". I now know all the components of a personal computer. I have built 4 computers since my post that you so kindly commented on.

  • @Strafespar har har soorrryy its just that people shouldnt comment on youtube saying this stuff, go on the internet and ask on wiki,

  • @killersullo wow ur a geek!!!!!!

  • @TheElectronicReview1 thanks thats what i want to hear

  • ITS THE !!ESSENTIALS!! YOU RETARDS. NOT EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO GET IT COMPLETE.

"What about the monitor?!?!!!!111" <<< A COMPUTER DOESNT NEED A MONITER TO RUN!

But you might not be able to see much.......

  • @visionmagify ur right but it only takes a while for someone to understand the way to put one together. it takes a true pro to put together a great and very complicated one like one with water cooling or x-fire or sli and i know if you have common knowledge it isnt that hard to do so u werent entirely corect but u pointed out some key facts.

  • I never, ever will buy pre-made, or commercial PCs. I like building everything on my own so I'll know which I'll like. NEVER, ever, ever, ever buy Apevia-Xplorer cases. They're the worst cases ever. Either go: Coolmaster, Thermaltake, or Antec. I had an Apevia and all the lights, everything went out within months. Best PSUs in my opinion are the Thermaltake.

  • lool the biggest pointless gay shit i ever seen

  • Building computers is great its like once you've built one you just wanna build another one... I believe it's a great hobby to do. I'm building another one... But a cheap basic one.

  • DONT FORGET TO GET A MONITOR!!

  • DA FAN !

  • guys listen amd intel who cares the fact that we know the differnce means where accepting technology in whole wich is why we are here its beautiful and powerful and we are here to see what happends so stop fighting and acept the fact that where brothers of the same mind

  • yeah it is, but i personally dont mind expensive, just as long as its table and works great. haha

  • its actually not anymore, still good quad core, but i7 with its new design and 8 threads is still better

  • @MrGreekdog

    clock for clock...

you cant overclock one and say its better

phenom only beats i7 in a couple games even when OCing (and you can get a higher stable clock on i7)

    look up some tables

  • Your not automatically a nerd for knowing how to build a computer all it means is that you know how to put a pc together. Anyone can build a pc if they know how to.:)

  • @jakey3332 Yeah, we've moved beyond the days where computers were a science by themselves. Construction should be more like changing a tire; troubleshooting and heavy programming is more nerd stuff, but as a programmer, honestly it's not that difficult. Anyone who doesn't know coding - LEARN IT.

  • Agreed. I am definitely not a nerd but I'll be making my own computer as soon as the components arrive.

  • @jakey3332 Disagree. It takes a lot in building a PC. You have to know the right parts, what to get, cooling system and more. The average joe wouldn't know how to. I first built mine at age 19. Of course someone helped me picked out the parts, and I had to learn somethings from different mags over the years, but I've been fixing computers since a teen anyway. Trust me, not anyone can do it that's for sure.

  • you do need a system fan!! esp if your making a gaming pc!! common a quad core on 1 system fan? lol ha ha ha burn!!!

(most gaming pc's are home made) like mine!!

  • so if you know how a computer works you're immediately branded a nerd ?

i love the world we live in

  • AMD usually has a wierd number like 5200 or 6000, but if you search harder, it has all the same specs like l2 cache, max GHz, number of cores, etc.

  • Fuck you.

  • @ChocolateNinjaStar Can I build a laptop with this?

  • @ChocolateNinjaStar can i build a laptop with this?

  • hi...can u show us how to build your own NETTOP?????????tyyyyyyyyyy

  • how to know if amd processor is pwerfull?

    coz i only know intel....

  • thank you so much for posting this !

  • That motherboard sux buy things that isn't 4 years old

  • mine does!!!!

  • cool man!!!

  • Whats the motherboard?? it looks good

  • the main commpoent to everything, so basicly u put all you computer parts either on it or attached onto it. :D

  • No, i mean what kind of motherboard is it

  • oh lol, it kinda looks crapy but i have no info to judge it lol.

  • It looks like he just pulled apart a very very old compaq. Do they still even make motherboards like that?

  • i pretty much know how to build a desktop pc so dont worry bout that but i wounder if its worth it i know you pimp your computer to be super powerfull but is it worth it in price or is it just better price if i buy a pc from store

  • LOL that case is gay!!!!

building a computer is easy building a case is hard i want a mod for my computer so i can see the graphics on my video card shells cuz its so fucking pointless putting designs on them if you cant fucking look at them FUCK!!!

Whats a good case so my video cards wont be on the bottom they'll be on the top... got it?

  • what about the sound card? and are the case fans important?? btw u no the way some have LED's? would those leds come installed on the case?

  • Hello,

Find building your own computer too hard?

Then CSTech may have the solution for you!

    Simply check out our videos

  • great

  • lol, im still working on taking my crappy compaq apart... its small and i wanna know if i can fit a good motherboard and video card in there with a quad core? help? im not so big on computers

  • what kinda i ahve a compaq

  • get a micro atx AM3 motherboard, a 400-500w power supply, an AMD Phenom II X4 CPU, an ATI 3870 video card. Post your list on a forum or message me and they or I will tell you if it will work, INclude your computer model number also.

  • Hey would it be possible to have a CD Drive and a Floppy drive all set up on the board?

  • Yes, if the motherboard and power supply have the right connectors. Optical (CD) and Floopy drives usually do NOT have the same connector.

  • AMD sucks, it's only for cheapasses like you.

  • I have a Phenom II X4 thats $100 cheaper that the i7 and it smokes it.

  • You're such a poor lair lol

First of all you don't have a Phenom II X4 but an X3, heck you even posted the unboxing video 1 day ago in which you also claim that it's for your new computer.

As for the X4, which you don't have:

    cpubenchmarkDOTnet:LASHcommon_cpusDOThtml

All core i7 cpus and even the low end ones beat the fastest Phenom II X4, heck even the old Q9400 and upwards beat them by far. Your X3 however is double crushed!

  • And as for the X4; there are tons of different models. As for pricing; even the low end q9400 beats every Phenom II X4 according to cpubenchmarkDOTcom and is $189 at Newegg. Now show me that $89 Phenom II X4 that according to you can beat it hehe

Your comments are an EPIC FAIL rotflmao

  • What's even funnier, go to cpubenchmarkDOTnet and check the High End CPU's chart; the first TWENTY processors in the list are ALL(!!) Intel.

Sorry, that just shows that Intel OWNZ AMD big time!

  • please try to restrain your ever laughed at bragging attempted in which it looks like your trying to convince amd user to go intel, it will never work. its a common fact .

  • I unboxed that about a week ago and just uploaded. I unlocked it to an X4 and overclocked it to 3.5GHz, and all the Phenom II's beat the i7's in gaming which is all that 95% of the people that buy them use them for.

  • Oh, so you are comparing Apples to oranges? You don't even own an X4, not only that, you desperately need to overlock it to come even close to an Intel that is not overclocked...what an EPIC FAIL ha!ha!ha!

  • "all the Phenom II's beat the i7's in gaming"

Well since you igore all the facts from cpubenchmarkDOTnet that I throw at you, why don't you be so kind and show us all some facts that back up your statement.

C'mon, we're all waiting, shouldn't be too hard.

  • AMD however manages to fool noobs like you by factory overclocking their CPUS to make them look better. Noobs like you think that a Phenom at 3Ghz must score better than a i7 2..66Ghz. Thats how we compared in the old days, but nowadays different rules apply. Google for Overclocking: Core i7 Vs. Phenom II. This test clearly shows the real story, because it shows that the AMD could only be overclocked with 600Mhz, while the corei7 could be overclocked with 1.2Ghz!! (both on air).

  • ps. saying noob auto makes you a faggot and a lifeless little tool who lives in his moms basement so as for everything else you said you already lost to this guy by having that idiotic word come out of your mouth . you actually make me a little embarrassed to be like intel .. sad

  • dude calm down

  • Cpubenchmark and tomshardware are just two sites that I have used to back up my statements. When we ask you for facts, you come up with a lame response like this.

That settles this discussion then; you obviously have no facts and clearly talked out of your rear end.

    Have a nice day!

  • no offense man but you are really stupid. An AMD phenom ll x4 does not outperform an i7. Get your facts right and look at some benchmarks. Stop justifying your purchase.

  • hang on did you just say phenom II's beat the i7 ?!?!? you sir are a retard

  • mine does

  • @ELijahKan10

yup phenom II annihilates the i7 at failing

  • @ELijahKan10

the i7 is much faster for gaming and yes i have both a phenom II 810 in my media center... works fine no problem but it just doesn't pull as many FPS as my OC'd core 2 quad 8300 in my gaming pc and yes i took both to maximum stable (24hrs prime 95)

  • you would most likely be better off just building a whole new one. but yet you posted this am month ago. comment me back on what ya did

  • i cant tell u could u provide some thing picture dimensions something

  • i heard that u can put an xbox 360 hardrive connecting to a computer harddrive for more memory. is that true?

  • no because 360's use SDrams so depending on the CD rom you might not be able yo motherfy the quantaminators of the processor :(

    hope that helped.

  • ive been given a couple of computers for parts, there missing harddrives and i don't have any spares

is there a way i can use a floppy disk drive and disk with a small OS too boot up the computer, all i want too do is check that the parts work and what CPU they have.

  • ermm no, not if you want to get onto the os , the os is stored on the harddrive so u would need a harddrive but i think you can boot it up without the harddrive, then go into BIOS and check from there. to get into bios press f2 or delete i think. ; )

  • thanks

  • I thought the cpu come with the mother board.

  • they usually dont, unless you buy a motherboard/cpu deal together

  • What graphics card is good for high end gaming?

  • geforce 9800 gt great performance for his price. or geforce 9800 gx2 this has the power of two gt's ...but more expensive but you can run a lot of games set at very high settings

  • if you dont have problem with the price then go for gtx 295.. thats the beast of em all..

  • My custom PC I've been setting up online is as follows: Sunbeam Transformer Case Quad Green LED 120mm Fan Dual Green Cold Cathode Kit Sunbeam Black Steel 580W PSU Intel Pentium 4 640 3.2GHz 800MHz 2MB Socket 775 CPU Kingston KVR800D2N6/2G 2GB DDR2 RAM PC2-6400 240-Pin DIMM (x2) NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT 256MB DDR3 PCIe Video Card w/DVI TV-Out Seagate Momentus 5400.4 250GB SATA/300 5400RPM 8MB 2.5" Hard Drive (x2) Gigabyte G31M-ES2L Motherboard LG GSA-H54N 18x DVD±RW IDE Drive Is all this fine?
  • get a better processer

  • Intel or AMD?

  • intel

  • I dare u to get Intel i7 I DARE U!!!! :P

  • Must... not... buy.... o.o

  • The core i7 920 is less than 350 bucks.

  • Just only 200bucks at my country...

  • Depends what your wanting it to do? Surf the internet? This should be just fine. Get into a bit of light gaming it should handle that not too badly also, however if your wantin to do alot of gaming, or perhaps sophisticated graphics you might want to consider getting at least a fast dual core CPU, upgrading your graphics card to an 8800 or perhaps a 9600. Can I ask why you used 2.5" Hard Drives? You should perhaps consider getting maybe a decent 3.5" 500Gb 7200RPM HD.

    Hope some of this helps

  • get another 8600 gt 256 mb graphic 512mb of graphic memory is necessarily to support some 20- 24 inch monitors

  • Do you need a soound card or is it optional.

  • A sound card is optional and only really necessary for people using sound equipment.

  • So I need it to hear sounds, without it no sounds at all, wait so because it has ports on the sound card thats where i need to plug it right?

    Also thank you.

  • Sorry I realise that comment was a bit misleading. No you shouldn't need a sound card to hear sounds. Your motherboard should have audio ports on the back (green = speakers, red = microphone, blue = line in). What I meant before is that you only need a dedicated sound card if your going to be doing heavy sound stuff, otherwise the built in sound will be just fine. Just like you only NEED a video card for gaming etc. Hope this clears things up.

  • Yea now its cleared up, thank u very much.

  • if you have the audio jacks in your cpu and still dont hear sounds from your computer... try checking if you have audio drivers installed in you computer...

  • hi,

    thanks for the series.

this, episode 14, should go first. however, since i am watching all episodes, it is minor.

  • JOHNNYwasDeleted pffft....

  • u dont need 8gb OF RAM anywhere

  • a) try a 790i motherboard

    b) 8gb of 1800mhz ramm

    c) E8600 at 4.5 ghz

    d) 2 GeForce GX2 Recertified EVGA

    e) Xigmatek s1283 heat sync

    f) Raidmax case and 850ss power supply

    g) 2 Raptor HDD's in Raid 0

    h) 1 20x DVD/CD RW drive (blue Ray)

and you will have a super fast pc under 1,500 us dollars

  • try 790i ultra board

or if your extremely serious try the Intel skulltrail motherboard imagine 8 cores but all the parts will cost over £10,000

  • Over 10k? lol. No. Just no.

  • from where? Not newegg.

  • the whole point of the skulltrail is its expensive for it to work

  • You should show them how to install the CPU, many people could end up bending the pins if they don't know how to properly install one.

  • WHAT IS WRONG WITH srgrdaddy IS HE GOING SICO AGAIN OH MAN HE JUST ESCAPED FROM THE RETARDATION HOSPITAL LOL CAN SOMEBODY CALL THE POLICE PLEASE

  • shut the fuck up you lifless nerd go suck ur fuckin robotic compterized mothers dick and dont break here amd vagina bitch

  • So you could tell me what CMOS stands for without looking it up? Sit down and let the big boys talk.

  • how about the monitor/display???u did not mention it?

  • what you want to know about monitor? lolz..it like buying a tv...screen resolution, wide screen, ratio..response time...

  • who needs a sound card? its already built in the motherboard

oh cmon "wa wa im a fag i want a good quality of soud wawa"

  • It really affects the sound quality. And some people need optical outputs, dolby decoders etc. etc. Integrated soundcards don't have those.

  • Oh, and one more thing. Not all the people use these "my Z-5500's are the best in the world!! they have BASS" plasticspeakers.

  • That mobo doesnt even have a built in sound card.

  • any NEW mobo have

  • Not all of them has a built in sound card.

  • Does any1 no if u can osx on a cutome built computer instead of windows.

  • You dont need a heat sink unless your building a gaming PC.

  • what are you talking about, every comp needs a heatsinkk for the cpu, the cpu will be toast b4 windows even loads without a heatsink.

  • I know I just figured that out! Stupid person told me that you didn't unless your building a gaming computer. Now I think thats bullshit!

  • I remember in HS that I took computer repair and I loved it. I learn all of the parts of the motherboard less then 30 mins very easy to know.

  • Then what is your monitor going to get video from? Older motherboards have onboard yes, but the new ones (775, AM2 etc) do not support onboard graphics hence graphics card being an essential.

  • newer motherboards do have onboard graphics, i built an intel system up for my dad a few days ago, he wasnt into gameing or anything but hes got onboard graphics
