@craigthomasjohnson Hungarian is one of the world's hardest languages (even harder than Mandarin). I learned Mandarin in five years (at least to be able to pretty much talk to anyone). I tried Hungarian for a year and gave up while I was still on my...I believe my 203rd word. *sigh* so many word endings...

I was lost during the Hungarian, Swedish, and Greek!! Although, the Swedish sounds oddly recognizable through German.

I remember Indiana confessing in one of the episodes that he speaks 27 languages but I think one of them was sign language... He supposedly also speaks Mandarin, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Vietnamese... In another episdoe he meets young Ho Chi Min in Paris where he displays his knowledge of Vietnamese.

I love the language duel! I remember watching this show about 10 years ago and this scene stuck in my head.

I first mentioned it when talking about the Star Wars TV show and defended Young Indiana Jones by talking about this scene. Then I mentioned it again when talking about how Welsh was a dead language so I has to look it up. I'm amazed that "young indiana jones language" got me the moment I was looking for and everybody else has strong memories of it.

I love this scene, the langauge duel is too cool. Unfortunately their pronunciation in arabic is so bad that it is incomprehensible for the most part .
