Is something like this hard to do? I want to get this tank for its decorative purposes for my new apartment next year, and I want a fish tank in general. Although, is something like this practical for me to be able to do?

Thanks for posting. I was able to figure out how you made your light hood by following you link. Thanks so much for those pictures on your site. I now have a total of 7 bulbs. The plants like that. All LED. Almost 20 watts total. For LED that is about about 70 watts halogen! 6500K makes them very happy. 3 watts per gallon is good. To have that with LED's it is GREAT!! Plus my tank looks like it was meant to be this way. The style of the tank isn't lost. Your tank is my favorite EDGE.

An incredibly beautiful decorated Fluval Edge. Can I please ask what substrate you have used. I presume that this is a shrimp favoured substrate?
