This game looks incredible through s-video. To get s-video working on a PAL Wii you have to either load it through Gecko or Neogamma and change the video setting to NSTC. You have to put the actual s-video pin in after the game has booted or else it'll just be black and white.
Lol. The one thing I don't understand about video gamers is the fact that they justify bad graphics. Of course gameplay is always more important than graphics, but why can't gamers have both? Not saying that Xenoblade has bad graphics. It's just an interesting observation I made.

I need only bring up The Last Story to make that point. In this case though I have no idea how large the game is; if it's significant enough then the graphics would likely have to take a hit. Or it could be the developer didn't want to try to push the Wii far enough. A lot of variables.

This looks amazing, I was shown it by a friend...And I gotta say. It looks impressive, the battle system also looks fun. Its so nice I can understand a good amount of the Japanese in the trailer...But...what controller type do I use to play this game O_O And I wonder if I can actually finish it. @nano69ify Yeah, the Operation Rainfall thing is still going. You can follow them on Facebook or Twitter actually. I don't think NoA exactly promised anything either as they just said that they would be watching the sales. There are great RPGs on all systems, actually (mostly handhelds now). As for those bashing this console, they obviously don't realize what sort of games are available for the Wii and bash it based on assumptions.
@allthatishere People are trying really hard to get this released in the states. Operation Rainfall is the official group on this matter, but despite a huge petition with plenty of signatures, Nintendo of America's Chief Executive Retard Reggie says it won't sell in America and that it's a bad investment for him. All three Op Rainfall games are going to be released in Europe. Mod your Wii or find someone on Craigslist to do it. I've played all 3 of these games and they easily the best Wii games
gameplay is what makes a game fun, like FF tactics advance (GBA), i must've spent over 600 hours on that game just because every battle is interesting. i played through it 3 separate times because the story is amazing. the musics still with me even after 2 years from it. the graphics and animations were excellent and i still remember them
I think they should release the 3 games to the Wii U console. Not only do you get insane graphics and smooth animations but it will help guarantee Wii U being the most sold console at launch and you get to use the new mechanics that the controller has to offer. Who else agrees?

actually aiming at casual gamers was a stroke of brilliance on Nintendo's part. however the strengths of the Wii was also its weakness. 1 and 2 party support was great, however not even Nintendo can make a Zelda/Mario/Donkey Kong masterpiece every year, so its really the lack of 3th party support that hurt the Wii, because its those games that keep us entertained until the next big first party game. a error big N has fixed with the 3DS and the Wii U. Nintendo has a bright future.

Nintendo always had the best ideas for great gameplay,multiplayer and so on.
Just an example: At the begining of the Wii, it was a great feature with the motion control und no one had an idea like this before. Sure the graphic was the worst of all 3 consoles but it still paid off.
And now where the Wii era is almost over, the other consoles "stole" the idea of motion control and refined it.

About Xenoblade, i totally agree with you. Its kinda ironic that the game what maany people and critics call the best JRPG of this generation(Japanese Role-Playing game - Final fantasy is the same genre) is Xenoblade on the -> Wii <- Even better than FF13. Kinda makes me laugh.

@Double17L i have played ssbb, as a single player game is lacks any depths, and a multiplayer game it is horrible, it is so hard to make out who your character is, and hard to make any sense of what is happening...and i do play is on a 55 inch plasma.....and as for the new marios, they are no where near as good as mario 64 is!!... ff13 is not a bad game, it is actually quite good, a jrpg with all the fat trimmed.... i dont think xenoblade is better than Tales of Xillia on ps3!!!

gameplay is what makes a game fun, like FF tactics advance (GBA), i must've spent over 600 hours on that game just because every battle is interesting. i played through it 3 separate times because the story is amazing. the musics still with me even after 2 years from it. the graphics and animations were excellent and i still remember them

Story is more important when watching a movie. The gameplay is quite flat to be honest and the voice acting is so horrible that you cannot enjoy the cut scenes. Size is irrelevant when its this poor. You know, I don't understand why people who hate the Wii come to Youtube to watch trailers for Wii games... then write comments on how stupid the Wii is, then get into massive arguments. Every system has its pros and cons, so slamming one system for not being a graphical powerhouse is just silly.... But honestly, what makes a system are the games, not the hardware. Critics are calling this the greatest JRPG this generation, and I sincerely hope I will someday be able to play it here in the US.

actually aiming at casual gamers was a stroke of brilliance on Nintendo's part. however the strengths of the Wii was also its weakness. 1 and 2 party support was great, however not even Nintendo can make a Zelda/Mario/Donkey Kong masterpiece every year, so its really the lack of 3th party support that hurt the Wii, because its those games that keep us entertained until the next big first party game. a error big N has fixed with the 3DS and the Wii U. Nintendo always had the best ideas for great gameplay,multiplayer and so on.
Just an example: At the begining of the Wii, it was a great feature with the motion control und no one had an idea like this before. Sure the graphic was the worst of all 3 consoles but it still paid off.
And now where the Wii era is almost over, the other consoles "stole" the idea of motion control and refined it.
It was new and the best, but not for long ;)

@Double17L i have played ssbb, as a single player game is lacks any depths, and a multiplayer game it is horrible, it is so hard to make out who your character is, and hard to make any sense of what is happening...and i do play is on a 55 inch plasma.....and as for the new marios, they are no where near as good as mario 64 is!!... ff13 is not a bad game, it is actually quite good, a jrpg with all the fat trimmed.... i dont think xenoblade is better than Tales of Xillia on ps3!!!

hi everyone, i am currantly playing xenoblade, on my US wii, in english, if you have a softmod wii, just download the pal iso and use regionfrii to change to ntsc US, then use usb loader and change the settings to force ntsc, it will work with perfect graphics and english everything
