Pretty shit "How To" video. Telling us to add the fans, then wire them up and add the lights etc hardly explains or teaches us anything. Does anyone know of any REAL How-To videos with actual instructions you can follow step by step for making one of these? I want to know names of the cases used, fans how to do the wiring etc. thanks

I'm building my own rig up out of that exact same case! I'm missing the door from the front but whatever. I'll hotglue some dvd rom faceplates to the empty drive bays. Just finished painting the interior white and I'm researching how to wire the fans and lights on the same circuit while waiting for the paint to dry. I bought a perfect plastic shoebox to make it DWC so I'll keep my medical garden soil, and my personal garden hydro stealth. Inside out dogfood bags make great liner BTW

ok what are the filters you put over the fans and where can i get them? I have never seen those before are they just acting as a light trap or do the catch the odor too?? I have seen theses little mesh black rubber checkerboard things that people put over fans is that what that is??

white spraypaint is what i would use.. then again i dont have to be stealth at all... and im glad as hell that i have a cabinet and dont have to use a tiny growbox like a computer even its a gaming case. still tiny.. anyways ide spraypaint it white.. remove or mask off the computers and anywhere u dont wanna get white paint on and itll look good. or u could get visquine or pvc plastic like this guy has. or mylar if you have access to a growshop or order

for everyone asking questions. i did not make this video but i am happy to answer ur questions as long as ther not to hard. if u actually open up the tower u want to use and open ur red eyes u will see screws to hold the fans in. whenever someone makes ther own design plans and thinks of different ways to do things they usually turn out better so be creative and think of how u can answer ur own questions instead of just copying other people

@DOWNERK1226 Answers a little bit late. But you just need to get a drill bit the same size as the rivets holding the drive bays in. You just simply drill out the rivets. There made of very soft metal so it's a piece of cake.

Hey bro, im thinking of doing a box of myself but a few q if you could help. I notice that you have both your fans close and so do you wire both fans to the same adapter? And how do you install the fans on the pc wall (assuming the computer did not have 4fans), do you glue them,tape,,screw or what? Same q for the lights, how did you get them to stick to that plastic strip with holes in it, and how did you get the plastic strip to stick to the wall of the pc? Soz for all the q

@RooRtoker101 Tin foil is a bad idea it can create hot spots and burn your plants, use milar or you can use white paint, but personally I would not use tinfoil. In my humble opinion

@603Budz Some simple electronic skills. just wire up the lights to a timer inside the pc tower and then wire the timer through to the wall socket. wire the fans straight to the power cord for the wall socket. just go to ur local hardware store and buy an extension cord and work with that

@603Budz No, Buy some extension cord cut it in half and use the male end of the cord to wire the lights and the fans. you want 2 fans minimum for this

You could also (and should to be wiring responsibly) buy some lamp wire (like $5 for 25 feet), and a 2 prong residential plug ($3)

You can wire both fans to the same plug (wire them in parallel) using the lamp wire. The same can be done for the lamps but I assume you already have those wired up somehow. Use wirenuts to secure your connections (I wrap them with electrical tape too just in case, there's water around growing plants :) )

Thats not mylar (mylar is metallic and 'highly' reflective).

My guess that its panda plastic, it looks like a plastic and is white on one side and black on the other, hence .. panda plastic

nice design. Personally i would not use those filters. They do not work. You need to build a carbon scrubber of some sort. Also you do not need filters on the front 2 fans since they are intake fans, that filter material blocks to much air flow.
