Ah I love her! She is always so refreshing, I however prefer when it's just her and her trusty piano companion. I find the band usually doesn't bring that softness or passion that her songs warrant. Beautiful as always, but she is an artist all of her own, and rare that she doesn't need the glitz or tons of things going on to be brilliant.
I agree. This is far and away my favorite track on The Baroness.
I'd love to see her play this on solo piano.
Her band for this tour was just a little stale. At one point i found myself just listening to the ride to see if the drummer was ever going to hit it softer or harder than all the other hits. Hardly, every hit was the same. It didn't sound like he was feeling the songs much.
Young, hungry musicians who want to get lost in her music would benefit her more than seasoned pros, imho.
Hands down my favourite track off The Baroness. I just had to learn this song only days after receiving the album. Interesting how replacing the string section with clean guitar makes this song sound almost country-ish. Her voice sounds mighty here.

A concert with a band!
I've mostly seen videos of her shows where she is "only" playing piano. She's great with a band, but also with only the piano. <3
