I know that Hope is the weakest in the game and I too despise using him, unless I really need his Eidolon. Hope needs to understand that he's suffering this ordeal with the whole group. Again, he's only 14, I think rarely any other people his age would take on Orphan with every normal person hating on you with just the fact that you're a L'Cie.

Honestly, I find it kind of funny that one group of people either thinks Hope is a total pussy and just rag on him like it's going out of style, and the other group is defending him and stuff. I know I probably shouldn't be trying to make any assumptions of his character yet since I haven't watched any walkthroughs yet (save for this one video) or played the game due to my lack of a PS3, but I kinda agree with both sides. According to what both sides have said, Hope's character matures

Factor in the fact that his mom apparently got blown to shit or something (bear with me here, I'm just getting into this), he is now an l'Cie, the whole world wants him and others like him dead, and he's just a 14 year old kid, his reaction to his situation is believable. Granted, I would have gotten over something like that slightly quicker,

However, an event of that magnitude isn't exactly something that a person could just bounce back from without a change in personality (unless you have titanium bollocks or colder than a metal pole on a winter night).
