I had that same exact problem... I have two 15" Solo Baric L7's powered by a zx1500.1 which was tested and puts over 3400 watts peak. my problem is solved now. uprrade all your wiring to zero gauge if its not already. if its still an issue you dont have enough power and you need a battery. i suggest a kinetik because you can get it cheap and it acts as an alternator so you dont fuck yours up...

Yes you need to go to zero gauge then becasue your amp cannot get enough power from the battery. the zero gauge allows more power to be sent, but only the maximum amount from your battery. that is prolly the first step and is fairly easy just buy about 20 feet of 0 gauge online you can find it about 70$ and follow the same exact lead to your amp and then ground it. as far as the second battery you just disconnect the wire from the amp to bat and put that 1 in there to and then go to amp plus

I personally don't like 15s, not enough control and accuracy. I don't like ported boxes either. I've grown up a little since I was just trying to get some attention on the block. (no offence). I use a single 12w6 in a sealed block with a kicker zx 500.1 for bass (sound quality). so these type of setups don't appeal to me at all. What im trying to say is that regardless of your opinion on the equipment, those subs were moving some serious air. I will say that alpine has better bang for buck.

ya its hard to beat alpine for value...I got my w6 and zx500.1 from a big box store....the w6 was a wall demo and I got it for $300 cdn, and full retail was $750. I use a focal utopia component setup running off of an alpine f545 for my highs........really crisp and warm sounding. I find with cheaper low quality mids and tweets that they are typically too bright and rude at higher volumes. anyway...nice talking to you..take care

i have a kenwood kac749s 4 channel 40 rms per channel for the highs and a kenwood 7202 460 rms watts for the subs. i sold my old 12s and i blew both 15s lol i miss them 12's they didnt blow at all had them for 2 years. and damn they are loud lol.

you probibly wouldn't have blown the 15s on a more powerful amp....most subs can take more than they are rated for, if it's clean power. once an amp gets above the3/4 mark on the gain dial, you risk the amp "clipping" and that'll take out subs. and you have to stay away from the bass boost dial and "bass cubes" that'll just distort the bass and screw with the sensitivity at lower volumes. I dont run a head unit unless it has at least 4v pre outs either. it makes a big difference.
