  • omg if i said this to my friends they whould litterly be like "WTF why do u give a shit about what my favorite book is?"

  • @ mariedubuque I love watching your videos, they're so short and simple. You really help a lot :)

  • ... i always seem so weak in a conversaition idk why or what to say sometimes and i always try to be like a super nice person to make myself look like im not an ass but it keeps coming back and i always find myself preffering to be alone. i enjoy my solitude sometimes...but its not always good for me i want friends and a best friend that i can laguh with whenever i laugh alone...

  • Great tips, but as I posted in your other video, naturally conversation is key. So if I were to ask “Where is the most exotic place you'd like to travel?” I'd probably start of by saying “So got any vacation plans this year?” If no, “Where is the most...etc” Same with the other question really, “You know what? I love reading, a lot of people don't read at all these days, do you read anything?” If you just flat out ask these question alone it might bump them off a little bit...

  • emmbru7--Thanks! You made my day!

  • ur the bestest youtuber in existence:) im really shy at school except around the friends i already have. people tell me that im quiet ALL THE TIME and i get so annoyed inside tht i just wanna be like "SHUT UP !!!" but anyways i look at ur videos and they are so helpful. every single one of them. like all the social tips. i wish other pepole understood me like you do! Keep up the good work! I'm starting highschool next year and most of my friends arent going. Im hoping for a fresh start, thanks !

  • I'm going for a walk with a nice, new co-worker today and am hoping to use some of these techniques to build our friendship! he's nice (he's gay, so it's just a friendship) and it seems like we may have similar interests. we've had some conversations before so i'm going to use your probing questions to ask him more about things he's mentioned previously..i.e. going on a trip soon, places to travel, good vegetarian restaurants etc. thanks so much!

  • Why not just talk about whats happening in the moment? It's more natural? :D

  • can you put more vids out for highschool kids that have these kind of problems. thnx

  • im 14 and i have a girlfrend. shes says that im awkward beause there are so many silences when we talk. i ran out of things to talk about because well we've talked about everything like celebreties, books, family, food, colors, school, weather, and idk just rlly everything. i need some big topics to talk about becuase its rlly killing me these silences last from 20 to 30 seconds -____- any help is insanly appreciated by anyone

  • Wish you had a good camera.....

  • You are bad ass, and you have a great voice!

  • i had the most awkward silence 2day.... so i decided to look up a vid here it is!!

  • TheLadysilencer---I see your point. How about talking about someone you both know (say nice things only!) Or bring up a subject that will get that person talking. Find out what they like to talk about...movies, books, fashion, even politics, if it doesn't get too heated.

  • yeah wont it be wierd with the akward silence and then just asking about them about there child hood??..if someone did that to me i would think they was kreepy

  • @TheLadysilencer There are all kinds of ways to open up conversations about a person's past without sounding creepy. Honestly, I would rather talk about things I remember from my childhood than restaurants and places I've travelled. If I went to a lot of interesting places that would be one thing, but since I haven't, those topics would be boring to me. I bet the average joe would say the same thing.

  • @TheLadysilencer cos u are one of those rude people, who always take things in a wrong sense, instead of befriending others.

  • Try to stick with the topic, and maybe change it in a different direction. But as long as you stay reasonably close to what the other person is talking about., you'll be ok. And also, when you ask a question, wait for the other person to respond, and then add to what he/she says instead of bring up another question. It should start flowing pretty smoothly then.

  • what if people get annoyed because they think you're spitting out random questions

  • great video

  • Thank you for such a nice comment on Christmas Eve!

  • i love your videos! they are really helpful and informative :) thanks
