Hey man, your throw is perfect but next time make sure you have full throttle and a little bit of up elevator. Be gentle on the sticks if your a first timer.
This was filmed a long time ago but from memory, it landed in one piece! Some of my other planes have not been so lucky :-) See my vid "The Reason" for examples .... cheers
I have the same one,but didn't take me long to learn to fly it.I crashed it a couple of times. the back of the wing get nipped by the prop when it crash on the ground.I still fly it when its calm weekend. When I fly it high up,I cut the throttle off it glides and it stays up a lot longer than usual 12 minutes flight.
i have a plane similar to this, and i have difficulties flying it too. Lol, on my first try i flew against one of those poles too. EXACLY THE SAME!! I need to go out there to try fly again.
I tried a wireless video camera - one of those micro security ones but quality was really poor. Have ordered a 5in1 eDVR usb video camera from eBay has 128Mb ram and has had very good reports around the net.
Yes I know what you man about using the sim... my flying improved out of sight after a couple of hours practice..
Brilliant! Why didn't I think of that? I should have just plonked down a couple hundred for an expensive plane which I could also smash into the ground and destroy, instead of a cheap, strong, repairable one....
i wasnt making a snide comment, just an observation. i had one of those planes and i never got to go more than about 10 ft at the most. if you took the time with a real trainer plane you wouldnt have to worry about crashing. ive had 3 planes in 2 years. first one was defect(wings split in mid-air) the second i still have, and the third was shot down(someone jumped on my chanel). i have now learned that with the right radio, plane...
If you watch the whole video you'll see that it actually flies fantastically... I'd say it got to about 200 to 250 feet and would have gone higher or further except I chickened out and brought it back. The problem initially (first 11 attempts) was not having the rudder control cable adjusted correctly. It was out by only about 1 or 2 mm but caused the plane to pull to the right every time. Being a noob, it didn't click with me for a while :-)
Thanks for the comment.... yep I guess it shows that if at first you don't succeed, try, try again :-) For my next trick I'm planning to mount a wireless micro camera to the plane and see what kind of video I can capture. Hopefully not just shots of the ground rapidly filling the screen....
last throw the last time... kinda wondering how you got it back...
