I just noticed after examining Shannons record...last time he was KO'd was about 12 years ago vs Lewis. He's been stopped only twice in his career , Lewis and that one to Wilson. But yes, I do think this time he will be gassed and stopped...around round 6.
Yep as far as heavyweight boxers are concerned Briggs is like an A- or an extremely good B+ ( he is above guys like Micheal Grant,Golotta,Morrison,Jameel Mcline..even though he lost to him)
But it seems he flirted with greatness (aka tyson,Lewis,Foreman,Ali) he seems to be in the middle there somewhere.
I do hope he knocks Vitali out, i do want to see him fight the younger brother, because after Shannon Briggs who is Wlad going to fight? Haye is good, Solis? Adamec? Wlad needs a big name.
I think your thinking is very sound: you look at the realistic, plausible outcome regardless of interest.

Darrol Wilson knocked him out in three Rounds. I believe Briggs is very underrated going into this fight.
