@Aiki33 yea honestly Friend its not a "break fall" wichin the term break fall is also wrong the corecet term is more along the lines fo free akieme bad speliing but somthinglike that what you did is nothing more than a pretty rollout but hey really nice air
Ukemi shape tends to vary according to the amount of energy involved. If you are not recycling much energy via the ukemi then coming up through the knee would indeed become uncomfortable, but if there is enough impetus to 'continue' the ukemi shape back into a standing position then the reliance upon the knee as a brace becomes minimal.
Work on your shape first. once your body has got used to rolling in a circular manner, it will make no difference whether you roll high, low, or sideways ;0)
Aikido tends to assume multiple opponents, so simple falling becomes inefficient. Learning correct ukemi is probably one of the most important core skills in Aikido.
No matter hehe. I've been watching some videos on youtube of Aikido and some of them are just pitiful ay, the demos I mean, even with people over 1st Dan. I reckon you should do some longer vids with some good explanation in it, describing what is going on. Cheers, see you tuesday ;-)
very nice mate, I sure hope I can eventually do that as good as you :)

It broke my fall. Call it what you will. After a few decades I found I prefered to roll when thrown rather than slap out. Thanks for your comment.

What I love is the way that you are able to roll so elegantly and then return to your starting position when you get up again.
