  • what ales is new

  • FUNimation are just bitches who are angry because shows parodying them are more popular than their shit.

  • The simple fact of the matter is that as awesome and as funny as these spoofs are the images are licensed to the companies and more so to the artists. Thereby reuse and overdubbing would be illegal use without express written consent from the companies..... Corporations win again sadly.

  • It sounds like neither you, nor anyone in the comments understand copyright laws.

  • @polarthebear27 copyright laws are just stupid, if i upload something that's not mine but i am earning nothing from it other than views and likes they has got to be a better reason than it's mine to just take it donw

  • I like how he does it in an calm tone, not a rant like Rush Limaugh.

  • And you, DeMorbid, sir, are god damn right.

  • i like the way he said "goodnight" like a girl

  • Dude... don't you know anything about copyright?

  • @TheVegArtist you know anything about the law? its fair use if its a parody and if no money is being made from said parody.

  • This is so true

  • your killing your fan base i forgot all about dbz (that i watched when i was like... 5) and then i found the abridged and it made me remember like bleach i saw one bleach episode when i was little then later found abridged and now i watch it all the time you guy should thank the abridged series because if they werent there you woldnt have as many fans

  • They are not getting a profit from it so its not illigal. its just for fun and entertainment.

  • I love you!!!

  • He's right ya know, I hadn't watched an episode of DBZ in 7 years. Now, after finding DBZ abridged I watch it every time it's on. You're only killing your own fan base.

  • Id like to point out that most often old shows get new attention because of fan made videos. And everyone knows corporations are fucking greedy

  • Damn you melvin

  • i should point out that if 4kids deserves any credit, its that they know they need the free marketing, in the case of dbz abridged banning it was toei's doing,

  • so true, buddy. So true.

  • if i owend youtube........everyone would be happy and get along......nuff said

  • and joure point is...?

  • Mel Brooks and National Lampoon all got permission and paid a lot of money to the original companies. However Teamfourstar and the rest of the abridging community haven't. I will say that I watch abridged shows however I do believe that Tokyopop Funimation, 4Kids and all the other companies were in the right.

  • @Wayne1153

but I don't think the abridging team is even making a profit from this.

  • @Wayne1153

with that being said. it is bad business to shut down these abridged series just because it violates a copyright. In a way these things do bring about awareness, and it is why lot of companies don't resort to draconian enforcement of copyright laws. Like suing a mother who uploaded a video of her daughter's bday party where brittney spears is playing in the background. Yes this actually did happen. The way laws are being rewritten is stifling creativity for profit. a turn off.

  • so let me get this shit straight... ppl are getting banned for doing abridged series, but yet youtube is still fucking FULL of those bullshit ghost vids? fuck youtube

  • @ZERO9098767 lying isn't the same as stealing. (i only say stealing as that is what the companies see it as)

  • @reegrom Yeah, it's like a collage. You take a bunch of different pieces of work, and mix 'em all together to make one big masterpiece.

  • you said anal

  • it's not really infrigement, copyright infrigement is when everything you upload is the same. abridged series use voiceovers and other editing techniques. therefore it's not really infrigement. its making your own version of a television program.

  • Abridged series are legal under the law of Fair Use because they are in the form of a parody. So long as a distinction can be made between the original and the parody copyright law protects the parody and it's creators. Also, any revenue gained by the parody belongs to the owner of the parody because it is their own work even though they use the orginal work. Gotta love law.

  • @reegrom Then hów come there are movies on youtube that I might as well have watched in a cinema( with very bad quality)

  • @d007ization That is Pirating because they are taking someone else's work and using it as a whole. What TFS is doing is taking someone's work, breaking it into pieces, doing their own voice acting, and even adding in there own sepecial effects. It is a piece of work they made using parts from something someone else made.

  • 4kids are cracking down alot, you cant even see film clips of yugioh without them being copyright removed. soon yugioh the abridged is gonna end. reason being is because 4kids screwed up the yugioh series after season 2 and now is trying to get money from it through law suits...

  • @redburst8 They did banned by copyrights it bullshit fuck toei animation and 4 kids

  • just ignore the bad talkers and say what you want.

    good vid by the way

  • How about you go to the website they made, rather than YouTube, hm?

Problem solved, no lousy videos needed.

  • haha the dislike bar is at "69"

  • with cream and sugar ^_^

  • with cream and sugar ^_^

  • I don't think ANYONE realises that Naruto Abridged is TeamFourStar property. I know you're gonna reply saying that "DBZTAS is all that TFS makes cause it's abbreviated TFS" or "Kaiser, Lani, Taka and the others don't help Vegeta and Masako make NTAS", BUT IT IS TRUE BECAUSE VEGETA AND MASAKO MAKE A PART OF DBZTAS! GOT IT?

  • The truth is that the companies just don't care. All they care about is getting money and for example, since LittleKuriboh made Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series, most of the popularity for Yu-Gi-Oh! has been toward his series and not toward the actual series. 4kids gets pissed and tells YouTube to shut it down and YouTube does just that. Bunch of pussies if you ask me.

  • If youtube gets rid of TFS it will be the end of all of us! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    (I just had to)

  • if youtube gets rid of us than its just tube

  • They just suspended the Sailor Moon Abridged for copyright infringement. D:

  • If anyone is looking for a dragonball online account let me know

  • the 67 people who disliked this rather worked for youtube as a lawyer, or worked for 4kids.

  • after i watched yugioh the abridged series i bought yugioh cards.... o_0 what do you say now youtube?? now bring back team fourstar!!!

  • Comment removed

  • oh please Googles is A billion dollar company

  • the same thing happened to me but with Berserk

  • not mane GA....its manga......MANGA.........ITS PRONOUNCED MONGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

    >////<

  • there not banned they have 5 episodes since then they decided to make it legal!

  • @thrallskull Tinfoil hat.

  • Agreed. Well said! :)

  • Yup good point...good point...one problem is...YouTube=Internet and Internet=World Wide and...America=/=World Wide. YouTube can really do whatever the hell they want as I see it but saying they are breaking American rights? So what its the internet. And yes I am American and yes I do watch DBZ abridged. Im just tired of people saying they are breaking my free speech online when really its their site and they can do whatever they want.

  • The overreacting of 4Kids and co. is beyond me. Having their shows abridged is such good business for them.

  • u are the smartest person i have heard on youtube...

  • i dnt get it

  • it wasnt youtube it was melvin

  • Youtube has the right to show or block whatever the hell it wants. No one has the right to use the Youtube's server however it wishes. Youtube just doesn't want to get into a lawsuit, even though it KNOWS it will win it, over a measly abridged series that accounts for a minuscule fraction of its users.

It's not in violation of rights, but yes it's a dick move to ban them. Not Youtube's dick move, the production company's.

  • can i bum you ?

  • I totally agree with you of how abridged helps more than it hurts cuz i saw Yu Yu Hakusho abridged before i watched the anime If i didn't see the abridged series i probably would have never seen an anime

  • Well since akira toriyama did not continue the series after gt series.something needed to be done

  • technically youtube isn't violating any rights because this is a private company and they get to do what they want. the abridged series videos are debatibly illegal because they use the same animations that the companies produced. but they do say all rights belong to the company and it is non-profit. interesting debate, i enjoy yugioh/naruto/dbz abridged episodes. but this is different than the right or not to use fire arms, this is free speech, not free rights to weapons. different battle.

  • @matrixpark7 also, they're not violating the fair use policy because they're making a parody of the original animation.

  • @matrixpark7 actually your wrong about that

  • @ChronoDarknessLord what am i wrong about?

  • @matrixpark7 .......

wow what a tool. Using the same animation and putting your own dialogue over it. REally cannot just be a copright violation. You know what. whatever. I don't even think you realize just how ridiculious companies have gotten with copyright laws, and how much they abuse filing claims. Will they make an abridged? I doubt it. They're still quite creative. If they get butthurt over their images being used then don't release them on dvd and ban vcr recorders.

  • @matrixpark7

also I agree this is free speech and I guess we need to get use to our corporate overlords.

  • @lordblazer Well if it weren't for the corporations many of us wouldn't have seen the abridged series shows. Actually, I really think Youtube isn't the problem. They don't take these videos off unless these big companies tell them too or else. Youtube most likely doesn't have a choice so its either keep video online and get sued for a lot of money or ban it and ignore the immediate reposting.

  • @matrixpark7

my point is the abridged series are mostly non-profit and create hype for these companies. And yes I can be critical towards this kind of policy. Once you run your own company and deal with this sort of thing. Please come back to me. Youtube I never blame them usually they are scared to face the threat of lawsuit, and so I never blame youtube. if companies they get theiir way of consumer compliance then creaitivity will be stifled. Its ultimately a culture war.

  • @lordblazer Abridged series do create hype. Actually more people that have actually seen the show watch them because it is much more funny seeing the show DBZ then watching the abridged version than just going strait to the abridged. Ultimatly this doesn't hurt any one, but of course 4 kids and such wants to censor fun. It is who they are. But in the end those groups can' win, we will repost these videos at a far faster rate than they can take them away. The battle is amusing.

  • if youtube keeps on doing this, they might as well get rid of the "you"

  • @Shadow78954 They highlighted it.

  • stop killing sprouts of ideas, that way wed never get to try something new

  • All your vidoes belong to us? typooooo.......

  • @luliszthegameaddict its not a typo...its a over used meme

  • Yeah Civ 4!

  • i bet the 65 people that disliked this r from toei animation

  • It's true. And besides I know that the guy who does the real voice of Joey in the actual series likes to say "Brooklyn Rage" because he thinks it's funny and just to get the crowd going and what do you know, it works! Ha, who would of thought?

  • funimation approvs of team4star

  • not every body lives in USA

  • I've play Civ 4

  • Very good point with Spaceballs etc. If anything it gives recognition to the originals and alot of people will probably look into it and buy them. The Companies that produce these shows should see this as someone advertising their product for them at NO COST. It's 100% benefit to them, jewtube shouldn't worry about it.

    also BIG MEATY COCKS

  • @JayDeep0 i said that the fact that youtube banned TFS is terrible. learn to read comments hypocrite

  • @13thDeathwish wow get a life bitch. i can say whatever the hell i want about the things i use, who the hell are you to question them? go jabber to someone who cares. oh wait. that's NO ONE. sad thing no one cares about you. at least your mother would have done so. but heck, who cares.

and btw bitch, it's spelt "hipocrite" and not hippocrates

  • @kaberichatterjee1 listen you bitch to someone saying you called YT an asshole company because they banned someone. which you didn't say you said YT is an asshole company. point is your those people who like to bitch about stuff and then contradict your own statement by using the site anyways. how ever you spell it, it doesn't change the fact you are one. So if its an asshole company stop contradicting yourself and stop coming here. Fact is your also an ungrateful son of a bitch

  • @13thDeathwish oh oh and whats the lil bitch gone do if i come here anyways? whos gonna stop me bitch? you? come an try. i say youtubes an asshole, an im gonna use it anyway. wach u gone do about it bitch? zap to my house an kick my ass? come an try bitch. ur fucking ungreateful son of a faggot learn to be a mature bitch its better than a childish bitch. we all know you'll still be a bitch.

  • @kaberichatterjee1

    1. How am I not mature your the one yelling bitch every other word.

    2. How am I ungrateful, when did I criticize something I use everyday.

    3. Stop trying to act tough because online you just look like a moron

    4. If it were possible for people to find you you'd probably wouldn't be talking shit knowing everybody will kick your ass.

    5. Get a life all I did is correct your argument and you start out making it seem like i'm criticizing you for saying TY is an Asshole comoany

  • @13thDeathwish ok .... wow i see ur pretty proud of yourself that you came up with enough points to fill five slots aren't you? like i said, i said yt is an asshole, an im gonna use it as much as i like, and if you think thats a reason to call me a bitch, ur the faggot who needs to keep his dirty little nose out of other people's business. whats it to you anyway if i call youtube an asshole? are you in love with it or something? HEY EVERYONE! 13Deathwish IS IN LOVE WITH YOUTUBE! get a penis.

  • because you need a penis, and a life, if you just waste your time contradicting other people when you have no right to contradict (or in your case, protect your beloved company) i can tell your a nosy faggoty little kid who is hated by 60% of the population in your school. ( if you're from pakistan, then i take that back, because i know that pakis can't afford to go to school)

  • @kaberichatterjee1 I can see you have a selective memory because you called me a bitch. It all started with me trying to correct you, I wasn't trying to start an argument and I meant no disrespect to you but apparently your logic is he can't get to me so I'll start something to seem tough And this whole penis obsession you started is it to cope with your small penis. If you wanna start something then fine by me your insults seems like middle school logic if you insult long enough your right

  • @13thDeathwish wow you didn't mean to disrespect me? that's ironic ... seeing that i was talking to JayDeep0 and you butted in and in your first comment you called me an "ungreatful son of a bitch." hmm, i wonder, how is that not disrespectful? i never even said anything to you, and you just but in and insult me. just who the fuck do ya think you are, huh? nobody cares if you think a comment is wrong or right, because ur not the youtube comment box moderator (even though there's no such thing).

  • and wow your telling me about how life works ... when you don't even have one? did you know that to tell about a particular thing you first have to experience it? seeing that you never had a life, i don't think you should be going around in public telling people how life works .... because you don't have one ... so you can't lecture on it .. cuz u don't have one ...

  • @kaberichatterjee1 well guess what life don't work that way

  • @JayDeep0 because i want to. problem?

  • damnit youtube!!!!!!!! im not gonna give you my butterfinger now!!!!! you can eat bug people for all i care youtube!

  • I guess youtube is just trying to keep everything clean. lol, anal was just the right word.

  • Nappa should run for President!

  • good idea

  • Why can't Youtube just leave people alone and let them do their thing?

  • We have the right to make parodies (Abridged = Parody.), so YouTube can't remove the videos.

  • technically speaking, as long as we don't put ads in the videos along the lines of the patnership policy, we should be covered by the fair usage policy, therefore, we should be immune from any lawsuit, therefore youtube is just doing it to flex it's muscles as it were.

  • @thebladeofchaos well, not only that, but i had a few AMVs up, and either they were completely removed, had the sound muted/changed the song playing, or restricted the ability to view it to people in certain countries.. like ppl in the US cant watch them, but ppl in say canada, france, or china could...

its really out of hand, and i had no partnership policy, altho one of my vids did get enough views where i got an email about applying for that, but im not going to

  • Its true. I checked out Yu Yu Hakusho and Naruto just because of the Abridged versions of those shows.

The only time I have EVER heard them ask for money is when Lanipator's computer couldn't edit anymore and people sent in a butt load of money. And the money he didn't use for a computer, he sent to Haiti. How awesome is that?!

  • Funny how people say FUCK YouTube and yet you visit the site.

Fucking idiots, not you uploader. But the people who comment stuff like that.

  • @shrek187 well, people visit youtube for the uploaders, not the site itself, so if youtube bans all the decent abridgers, theyll just move to a new site (which some have already i believe) and the fans will just go there

  • If lets use Eminem as an example, makes a music video, and in part of the video he drives by a Burger King, does Burger King have the right to sue Eminem because he didn't ask for permission? Obama has his photo taken at some sort of rally, your face is in the shot, the photographer doesn't want to ruin the photo by adding a blur over your face, can you have it pulled from Obama's website? Seriously, this whole idea that AMV's and Abridged series are different from art is kinda stupid.

  • @mordichi i agree 100%, the whole concept of either, its only taking a snippet of it, putting some things back in, and adding your own touch to it, be it music, or voice acting, its not like its the entire episode or show, that i could understand...tho you still have people uploading whole episodes (in sections) on youtube, but you dont see those accts getting banned/restricted, when they are actually in violation of the ToS...

  • Isn't there a fair use law?

  • I'm Ronaldo Ivan and I aproove this message.

  • Video seconded

  • You look like a fool with those buns!!

  • ITS PRONOUNCED MON-GAH!! (Gozar Reference)

  • funamation is okay with it its toei and 4kids thats bitching about it

  • Abridged is alteration of the original source, as well as a parody of said source. These are both classified under Fair Use laws.

  • I like this video but there is one flaw they have alot of money.

also wanted to point out Its funny since copyright is so loose in japan

  • Real issue here is, gambit sucks. I mean his power is better than no power, but colossus > gambit 100 times over, thats all :D

  • For all those still reading this, Google Owns YouTube by the way =).

  • hm, i get where you're coming from to a degree. >> first time i ever done this, so let me point this out, please don't get angry: youtube is owned by rupert murdock who owns fox, and 4kids (if i'm not mistaken) so they have plenty of money for lawyers. vif any of this info i posted is false, feel free to correct me.

  • 1. Wow, you have no idea what you are talking about. Abridge series do violate copyright laws. By using copyrighted images they break youtubes TOU. They have every right to take it down.

    2. You do not have a right to post anything you want on Youtube. Youtube taking something down does not violate your first amendment rights. Youtube is a privately owned corporation.

    3. None of this has to do with starving children. These companies do have the right to protect their material.

  • Yeah I know, it's getting ridiculous. So much for fair-use...

  • FUCK YOUTUBE'S LITTLE NUTS. who the hell do they think they are, banning TFS?

  • I'm unsure where youtube originated but i believe Google bought it awhile back...

  • Not Your Tube/OurTube , GO FUCK YOURSELF

  • To right, to right

  • Too true. Good debating and it was pretty funny.

  • YouTube is an asshole company

  • @kaberichatterjee1 Google....

  • @949paintball what about google?

  • @kaberichatterjee1

Google bought YouTube a while back, that's when it started getting shitty. They are the ones that are the "asshole company."

  • @949paintball i guess ur right ..... but still, it all comes back to just youtube when the banning of TFS is concerned . google didnt ban it, did they?

  • @kaberichatterjee1

Google did, it was just on the website YouTube.

  • @949paintball wow that sucks.

  • @kaberichatterjee1 Oh the irony

  • @kaberichatterjee1 wow... that's ironic...

  • @kaberichatterjee1 it's not youtube it's those faggots from google! ever since google bought out youtube this site has been one big peace of shit.

  • @kaberichatterjee1 and yet you use their site............... the Idea for the site was good, but have they crossed lines? yes. I didn't get a youtube account until they reinstated tfs's profile, and allowed them to put their funny stuff on a popular video search engine. (didn't mean to sound like an asshole, but I have to poke holes in people's fragile logic)

  • Youtube is was created in America or was it brought out here?

  • copy right is only if ure trying to sale it but youtubes gay so fucking gay and they are trying to take the fun out of our creations and also the copy rights of the songs still goes by the same fucking copyright so down with youtube B.S....HAIL SATAN

  • @thelordzenkai ..... WHAT THE "hail sataN??" what's that supposed to mean.....

  • @11cookeaw1 In Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged there's this little girl with a teddy that says evil creepy things. You kinda have to see it to understand the reference, really. Search Yugioh! The Evil Teddy Bear!!! and click on the first vid in the list. Enjoy!

  • if you want them to stop just say i do no own dragon ball z or any other show so people will understand its copyrighted

  • But that won't get people to "Support the official release". Which is what all the companies are pissed off about.

  • lol not nessasary, I got into DBZ because I saw TeamFourStar's abridged series, watching an abriged series makes people who aren't familuar with a series want to go out and see the real thing, thus if anything Abridged series are good for buisness, as it does support the official releases of the actual series.

  • teamfourstar had done that in the intro of every abridged episode they have made, but that didn't save themfrom suspention.

  • ROYALTIES... That is how major producers get away with it. I think I am gonna watch an abridged series now.

  • they might as well take off the millions of amv's about anime b/c its basically the same thing a video that isn't theirs with some type of audio that doesn't belong with the show. idk i don't study much of the law but that my opinion

  • Okay, everybody quit it with the pronunciation arguments. If you think they're wrong, big deal, they're the ones who're wrong. If it's really that big of a deal, don't read the comments. Let's get back to the issue the video points out. Abridged parodies are legal, because they are parodies. Saturday Night Live is one of the most succesful shows out there, and shows like it and Mad T.V. are legal, and making money. These are NON-PROFIT parodies, and don't do any harm.

  • I wish people knew what they hell they are talking about. It would lead to 99.9% less headaches in arguments. I'll address everything wrong with your comment.

DBZ abridged can not be considered a parody because, it takes the original video and uses it without permission. I suggest you read before you make yourself look like an ass. Do you know what "Commercial Value" is? Of course you don't because you say that just because it is Non-Profit (Which it isn't, they sell shirts.) it doesn't do harm.

  • Actually, the difference is nonexistant. Weird Al only changes the lyrics, not the music, of all the song that he parodies. He's stated, and at one point this quote was on his myspace, that while he can LEGALLY do whatever he wants with the music, he just prefers to get the person's permission. Either way, there's nothing different than that and DBZ abridged. Youtube is violating our rights clearly outlined in the constitution by banning just for parodies and abridges.

  • On that note, @vbr2: You are right, the internet doesn't have a Bill of Rights. But since Google is stationed in America, California to be exact, it's subject to the laws that apply in that state.

  • I am not entirely sure but, as I said before, if Al asks the original artist for permission and they say yes, then that most likely lets him use the original music and even if that's not the case, he doesn't use the exact tune. Parody laws don't allow you to violate the laws of another being. You can't just take video, slap some comedy on it and say it's legal because it's a "Parody" while you make money on the shirts you sell online, which in of itself it borderline because they use Nappa.

  • @sinangel3 Actually, he has a band that remakes the instrumental parts of the songs, while changing other parts.

  • @sinangel3 i dont want it banned either but they did change SOME things in the DBZ abridged but whats the big deal chris sabat doesnt even car he likes it himself

  • @sinangel3 Exceot it's a private server that Youtube pays for, meaning THEY have the right to show or not show whatever it wants.

  • @sinangel3 Except it's a private server that Youtube, not the users, pay for, meaning Youtube has the right to show or block whatever it wants.

No constitutional rights are being violated here.

  • @sinangel3 it's probably because weard al has his own video, dbz abridged uses mostly clips from the actual show, and youtube is just gay

  • @darkspineshadow2 well in all technicality the shirts are there jokes. Like the tree breathing fire that has nothing to do with dbz. They dont make money from the show itself but more the jokes they use.

  • Even though it's their joke, it's Toei's character. The shirts aren't as law-breaking because they use their own image but, I'm not sure.

  • except the internet does not have an applicable bill of rights

  • lol Gantz is messed up. Love it.

  • People just to clear it up and stop you bickering it is pronounced Manga no Monga just watch an anime that is subbed where they say manga i sure as hell did. This guy has some goo points though but I'm not really angry at Youtube they have their reasons besides the suspended people always make new accounts anyway. Manga and sake is not Sa-kee it's just Sake like for his sake. Doesn't really matter though does it?

  • If you mean the Japanese wine, then it is pronounced Sah-Kay and Manga is Mah-n-gah.

    Small lesson.

    A is pronounced as "Ah"

    E is pronounced as "Ay

    I is pronounced as "e"

    O is pronounced as "O"

U is pronounced as "OO" (Like in "Look")

  • whatecer doesn't really matter anyway
