Hey Del, just saw this video plus another and love it! Really enjoyed the songs. Have you tried making any money with the songs you make with your looper?
Hi - can you tell me what octave pedal you are using? A Boss _____? Thank you. Your video is so helpful I just got this pedal and I was struggling a bit. Needed a demo and yours is the best I've seen!

realy good, iam suprised no one has picked this up and done a dvd, you know show some stuff, give you a relevant scale and show you some licks and improv stuff, come on lick library never mind doing a vid on boss effetcs, show us some inspirational stuff with a looper
This is really cool. I may have to pick one of these up. It seems like it could help with song writing a lot, or at least improv. Like playing as a one man band.
if u plan to get this exact pedal i would reccomend getting a jamman its easier, it sounds better and it has soooooo much more memory seriously look it up
I have the simple boss pedal and its a bitch to turn off what I have so i can continue fresh. This pedal has that option to turn off with one step as the one I have you have to step on it twice.
Loved this stuff!!Tell me something,is that a boss oc-3 ?It has a really deep bassy sound and i wanna get one out of my guitar. Can you help me with that?
So on the loop station if you are a little off on the timing of the start and stops will it playback your loop with a start and stop ends that are fixed to the right tempo? basically will it fix the timing of your loop?
basically 1 and 5 of each chord (Em,Cmaj7th,Dmaj11).... i walk 'up' to the D 1st time around then walk 'down' to the D the 2nd pass. i added annotations to the video.
okay you got me thinking...after re-watching it...i start off video clearing the memory, then imediately step on the record button @0:03 - i record a two bar loop and set the length by stepping the record OFF at 0:12 - then at 0:19 i turn on the "overdub" and i step on an off camera Boss octave pedal (for bassier sound)- the Boss Octave pedal gets turned off at 0:37 - i continue to play more rythums and percussion until 1:10 when i turn off the overdub. the loop is then complete. solo out ...
very nice, once again, like that Latin feel on this one. i'm amazed how you can play all different style's of music so well. You make it look so easy..
how stupid would it be for me to post a message saying, "wow del, that was awesome!"...'cause you already know.
i'm proud of you man; you are an absolute inspiration!
you need to take full-credit for that display. no gifts, no gods, no devils, no past teachers, no long hours practicing can get you that...that del, was you!
hmm. i think i know what you mean.. but development and change, learning and practice don't have to remove the artist's authenticity or his own expression. if a person sucked but practiced really hard to make something sound good, wouldn't you think its praiseworthy?
if you are suggesting we should give the miami dolphins the lombardi trophy because they practiced harder than the giants...i will have to say...ummmm....NO!
we should place praise where it is needed, and good practice can go a long way towards the proverbial 'pat-on-the-back'...but...
del (and i know you're reading this man), has the music flowing as if the guitar is playing him.
I wasn't saying that practice is everything either. If I did, then your analogy would be appropriate. but... Practice does go a long way, and no musician is a musician without practice. Are you a musician?
The Dolphins analogy makes no sense. Practicing made this man a good guitarist. No one gets better without practicing. What you're hearing is the result of dedication, practice, application and accomplishment.

no hours of practicing got him there?
legodesi 3 years ago
exactly! i know many people that have practiced for hours...lets take me for example. teachers, gifts...b.s.
del is that good because he applied himself differently than i did. practicing is only as good as the person involved.
the guitar is only the medium...it is del we are hearing here.
holybabble 3 years ago
hmm. i think i know what you mean.. but development and change, learning and practice don't have to remove the artist's authenticity or his own expression. if a person sucked but practiced really hard to make something sound good, wouldn't you think its praiseworthy?

legodesi 3 years ago
i have played a lot of guitar, and i have a pretty good voice. i won a scholarship for art. went to college with ambitions of art and music.
my girlfriend got pregnant...quit college to earn an income, and i never went back to it.
my daughter sang with josh groban at the superbowl 4 years ago...that was my highlight!
no, i'm not a musician...but i got it flowing in me. i'm not an artist, but i can draw and paint like a mo-fo.
i'm considering retirement...maybe i'll be a music man.
holybabble 3 years ago
The Dolphins analogy makes no sense. Practicing made this man a good guitarist. No one gets better without practicing. What you're hearing is the result of dedication, practice, application and accomplishment.
