  • @DavidTexen lol that's a mirror, you clown XD

  • Very nice..

  • good one , great jamming =)

  • Nice work, I have the same loop, I use it for practice with my basses. It's really useful for study and fun.

  • beutiful sound of that guitar

  • Very nice, I'm going to have practice more...

    You put me to shame!!

  • Hey Del, just saw this video plus another and love it! Really enjoyed the songs. Have you tried making any money with the songs you make with your looper?

    Thanks!

  • @TheActorLaughter - i gig out with it on "solo acoustic jazz gigs" - keeps things flowing and not so boring for the listener

  • good job!!!

  • Hi - can you tell me what octave pedal you are using? A Boss _____? Thank you. Your video is so helpful I just got this pedal and I was struggling a bit. Needed a demo and yours is the best I've seen!

  • @tneidel - Boss Octave OC-2 - just sold it on ebay :-)

  • Hi - can you tell me what octave pedal you are using? A Boss _____? Thank you. Your video is so helpful I just got this pedal and I was struggling a bit. Needed a demo and yours is the best I've seen!

  • That was great !

  • Fantastic!! I like the rhythm you created. I also like how the entire song flows smoothly. You have given me inspiration.

  • Nice lesson. I love that pedal.

  • that some pretty cool stuff, got tabs ?

  • awesome .........

  • Very cool tune! I liked it a lot.

  • That was amazing 5 stars!

  • Love how you explain every single detail :P 5 stars

  • nice del. havent played with my loop station in agaes. must get back to it sometimes. they are great fun.

    well constructed.

  • realy good, iam suprised no one has picked this up and done a dvd, you know show some stuff, give you a relevant scale and show you some licks and improv stuff, come on lick library never mind doing a vid on boss effetcs, show us some inspirational stuff with a looper

  • that was nice

  • This is really cool. I may have to pick one of these up. It seems like it could help with song writing a lot, or at least improv. Like playing as a one man band.

  • i use that..good dimostration..

but my octaver pedal sometimes don't go in good...lost a notes...boh..

    i try ...hy

  • if u plan to get this exact pedal i would reccomend getting a jamman its easier, it sounds better and it has soooooo much more memory seriously look it up

  • I have the simple boss pedal and its a bitch to turn off what I have so i can continue fresh. This pedal has that option to turn off with one step as the one I have you have to step on it twice.

  • u are my fav

  • can you post a guitar lesson of this :D :D so great song !!!!

  • well..?? it already is kind-of a lesson so to speak...

  • I Watched this 6 times and every time i smile

  • the natural harmonics thing was awesome

  • love it!

  • Howie Day is the first guy I've seen do this... he used two Line 6 delay modelers though. Awesome technique I think

  • If I could meet this guy, I would sit and watch him for hours.

  • WHOA, man! This video convinced me right away to get a loop pedal (even though I'm just beginning to learn the guitar) xD Awesome playing.

  • great man!!!

    nice job!!

  • Loved this stuff!!Tell me something,is that a boss oc-3 ?It has a really deep bassy sound and i wanna get one out of my guitar. Can you help me with that?

    Best wishes

    J

  • So on the loop station if you are a little off on the timing of the start and stops will it playback your loop with a start and stop ends that are fixed to the right tempo? basically will it fix the timing of your loop?

  • what kinda guitar is that? the Ibanez classical____?

  • on another vid he said its a taylor

  • wow!!! i ran into this guy (del) at a party and he taught me how to play this song!!! thanks del

  • This guy is my friends dad he plays at my school alot

  • can you connect a looper with a guitar effect pedal also?

  • yes

  • yeah you can. its alot better to put them before the rc 2 also..same goes for distortion pedals. unless you want your drums to distort.

  • cool thx =)

  • Can you please tab that your improvisation. That is so good. Heloo from Croatia, Europe.

  • Amazing...

    GratZ dude

  • sweetness. Damn it. I promised myself I wouldn't buy myself anything soon but now I really want to buy a loop station.

That looks like so much fun....

  • same as u, i just bought one.

  • Wow man sounds great!!! 5 stars for you!

Could you tell me how you played the bass rhythm, I couldn't quite figure it out by myself.

    Cheers

  • basically 1 and 5 of each chord (Em,Cmaj7th,Dmaj11).... i walk 'up' to the D 1st time around then walk 'down' to the D the 2nd pass. i added annotations to the video.

  • It looks like there is another looper off camera - are you using the two together?

  • mirror :-)

  • That I got ;-)

You step on a switch off camera at 0:20 , start the bass line and at 0:38 you step on the off camera switch and it loops. A delay pedal meaybe?

  • okay you got me thinking...after re-watching it...i start off video clearing the memory, then imediately step on the record button @0:03 - i record a two bar loop and set the length by stepping the record OFF at 0:12 - then at 0:19 i turn on the "overdub" and i step on an off camera Boss octave pedal (for bassier sound)- the Boss Octave pedal gets turned off at 0:37 - i continue to play more rythums and percussion until 1:10 when i turn off the overdub. the loop is then complete. solo out ...

  • "Grabbing the pick" - LOL!

    The annotations are great, thanks.

  • i updated the video with annotations - tell me what you think ?? :-)

  • wow greattttttt man seriously if i was that good :P

    amazying harmonics as well

  • Great song.

1:25 and onward is just so awesome. Great playing man.

  • Good times Del. Thanks for sharing the music

  • Sounds amazing, keep it up

  • That was amazing man =] I am definitely considering a loop pedal now. It looks like so much fun.

  • dude awesome!! thought about worshiping God with that talent man?!!

  • LOL! "leads and stuff"

    sounds good man...Cheers!

  • Love it! You have the Funk !

    This is a RC 20!

    Now should i buy a RC 20 or a RC2 Loop station?

  • very nice, once again, like that Latin feel on this one. i'm amazed how you can play all different style's of music so well. You make it look so easy..

  • how stupid would it be for me to post a message saying, "wow del, that was awesome!"...'cause you already know.

i'm proud of you man; you are an absolute inspiration!

you need to take full-credit for that display. no gifts, no gods, no devils, no past teachers, no long hours practicing can get you that...that del, was you!

  • no hours of practicing got him there?

  • exactly! i know many people that have practiced for hours...lets take me for example. teachers, gifts...b.s.

del is that good because he applied himself differently than i did. practicing is only as good as the person involved.

the guitar is only the medium...it is del we are hearing here.

  • hmm. i think i know what you mean.. but development and change, learning and practice don't have to remove the artist's authenticity or his own expression. if a person sucked but practiced really hard to make something sound good, wouldn't you think its praiseworthy?

  • if it's my children? yes!

if you are suggesting we should give the miami dolphins the lombardi trophy because they practiced harder than the giants...i will have to say...ummmm....NO!

we should place praise where it is needed, and good practice can go a long way towards the proverbial 'pat-on-the-back'...but...

del (and i know you're reading this man), has the music flowing as if the guitar is playing him.

  • I wasn't saying that practice is everything either. If I did, then your analogy would be appropriate. but... Practice does go a long way, and no musician is a musician without practice. Are you a musician?

  • i have played a lot of guitar, and i have a pretty good voice. i won a scholarship for art. went to college with ambitions of art and music.

my girlfriend got pregnant...quit college to earn an income, and i never went back to it.

my daughter sang with josh groban at the superbowl 4 years ago...that was my highlight!

no, i'm not a musician...but i got it flowing in me. i'm not an artist, but i can draw and paint like a mo-fo.

    i'm considering retirement...maybe i'll be a music man.

  • The Dolphins analogy makes no sense. Practicing made this man a good guitarist. No one gets better without practicing. What you're hearing is the result of dedication, practice, application and accomplishment.

  • awe shucks !!!

  • Great harmonics man. Awesome control. Pass

  • most awesome

  • goodness del! your video amazes me once again! BEAST!!

  • Very nice!

  • awesome! loop stations are too much fun

  • Nice playing there

  • loved it, well done.

  • Actually quite good.

  • Love your work. I might have to buy the CD, Del. Awesome job.
