my opinion is teresa had the influence more than a popstar to china history. by reading history, teresa was one of the major source to strengthen the chinese people in late 1970's after cultural revolution and the hardship. her beautiful voice gave ppl hope to carry on. did they used to say "there are two Dengs in china"? one is Deng Lijun 邓丽君and the other one is Deng Xiaoping邓小平?
