Very smart robots. They do have a camera, cause the ball is the only red object in the arena and it is then really easy to detect it, i bet that you have an compass sensor as well to navigate to the goals

their are 3 versions of football... American football, Fütbol (soccer), and Rugby. All have different names, but the same objectives, get the ball into a goal, or past a goal line. They are all different variations of the game.

It makes more sense to call this football than calling American Football football because in this you hit the ball with your foot. In American Football you run with the ball. So basically American Football is rugby with a few differences, like needing massive amounts of padding.

American Football started when a college called Rugby decided to make their own version of Football, where you could use your hands. It came to be known as Rugby Football. This is now known as Rugby. Since then, more and more changes have been made until we ended up with American Football.
