Thats why this video shows the little Contour car maxing out it's potentinal in the tiny parking lot, becuse it's slow as piss. Where as the Stang diden't have no room to use ANY of it's power

@gatmatt not only is a mach 1 faster 0-60 but destroys it in the quarter. D/R's on a stock mach gets high 12's. id say "use some logic bud", but i dont think you have any. this thing must have forced induction, but still a riced out chick car

@Avs4life91 its still a chicks car. dosent matter if SVT techs got their hands on it - same goes 4 focus. their simply polishing a turd which is the epitome of rice. & considering a mach spins 130hp more than the contour, 75 shot still isnt enough

@Avs4life91 im sorry but thats beyond ignorance. a 75 shot cant close a 130hp gap. its easy 2 beat a driver, but these cars well driven on a track or road. the mach would rape that contour all day long. instead of a couple schmucks in a parking lot - thats NOT a race.

@Avs4life91 well a contour dosent run high 12's low 13's stock so that is ignorant. the only GT that gives the mach a good run is the new 5.0. mach's have custom SVT handbuilt motors, suspension, brakes, interior & many other things. their not off a prodution line.

@SUYJO my buddy has a 1995 sho and i have a 1998 contour he is by far faster then me but he has already needed to buy a clutch and replace many things i have never had to fix mine the sho i think was just not built right so if you want speed i would get the sho if you want looks and reliability get the svt

I have a 2000 SVT and the reason I bought it was that at my local track (Pacific Raceways, Kent, WA), SVT Contours on track day, coming out of turn 9 behind GT Mustangs put about five or six lengths on them down the 1/2 mile (-) front straight into turn one and then beat them like a drum in the twisty bits down the back. Fun to watch. So I decided to try one and I like the little beasts. Ford should do the same with the Fusion. Taurus SHO motor in a SVT Fusion AWD. Yeah, that would do.

Fusion's are too fucking big. I'm looking forward to the 250 horse turbo focus if I do say so myself.

@Konformation07 I totally agree, the 6 speed out of the mustang, and the SHO 3.5L ecoboost in an awd Fusion. Give it a nice lip kit, lower it with some nice suspension modifications and nice wheels.

this is my car 3 or so years ago. at this time it was a 2.5L stock SVT engine with a stock transmission. clutch was slipping and it was on a 75 shot. basic mods at the time were headers back exhaust and an intake. now the car is a 3L upgrade with a torsen LSD, stage3 clutch, headers back exhaust, and a ton of other work done to it. its just as fast without nitrous, maybe faster.

the fastest svt i know of is a 13.4 1/4 and that is on a 3L

nope. thats my car. 2.5L with 100 shot nitrous. headers back exhaust, intake and MSD dis-4 ignition.
