I use an all ceramic straitener, most straiteners just burn your hair because under the ceramic plate, there is a metal one. All ceramic is safer. I use Straitener protector as well. My products are John Frieda's Frizz Ease (My hair is long, curly AND thick), Some product by L'oreal (its all in french! :0), and FX Heat Memory Thermal Protective FlatIron Spray.
