@ilikepiedontu ...No, he doesn't. This isn't a career nor is it a requirement in anyone's life to do this, if they go out of the way to make videos, you should respect the amount of time he uses out of his life to do this for your entertainment. Be graceful, not a chode.
@Rudie95 No it isn't dude. There's a bug with the PC version that if you've already highlighted a node and you get noticed, the thing moves a bit and lands your mouse over your hacks even when you didn't want to use them. Also because the next node is in one of eight directions from whichever node you're on, it's quite easy to move to the next node via a controller, so a mouse really isn't necessary.
@CuriousMoth I just get the feeling from looking at what I've saw in this video that the mouse would be able to highlight and select more nodes in quick succession than the controller, much like Skorch did many times in the video. But seeing as I haven't played on the PC (and probably never will) I'll take your word for it.
@Rudie95 Well I've been watching Hyren277's LP of this and I've noticed when you're using the controller it snaps to the nodes if you're within a certain distance of them and you just use the buttons to select each option rather than having to then move your mouse to the desired button, so you save a bit of time there too. Take a look, you can see what I mean here: watch?v=5l7byq66rY0&t=8m14s
@CuriousMoth No need, I'm playing through this game on my own on 'Give Me Deus Ex'. I havent noticed the features you're taking about, but every hack I've done has been relativley straightforward. Will have to pay attention to this next time I hack, which won't be for a while seeing as I can't get past the first boss...
@CuriousMoth Yeah, beat him without a stun gun but had to save multiple times throughout the fight. Did do some hacking once I got to the next area, and I noticed what you were talking about. Hacking is quite immense in this game. Love it.
@Rudie95 There's a really hard hack much later on which you practically need hacks for. I had two augs in stealth and full hacking and I still had to use hacks '~' Thing is, the stealth aug isn't so good because it only drops things as low as 15% and I honestly wish I hadn't taken it because you end up with like, 50+ of each hack. I could have spent my points on something better and had an easier time. You really want the Icarus System by the time you get out of Detroit.
@CuriousMoth I value my praxis points so much, I spend around 10 minutes hovering over each augmentation before deciding. Really makes this game fun, considering what Augs to get!
@Rudie95 Yea I know! ^-^; My suggestion would be to go for the hacking augs and punch through walls as soon as you've completed the first mission. You can get a praxis kit behind a breakable wall in the sewer so punch through walls is essentially free. If you're going for a pacifist run, reflex booster is a must. Cloak is lovely for anyone and the armour augs are essential for bosses - complete the whole armour tree by the time you reach the second boss and you'll be glad you did :3
The battery quantity augs you should get last, but the battery recharge augs are decent. Sprint speed/duration and the rebreather are both handy, mostly because you become immune to gas grenades and can get around quicker. There's whole electrified corridors (there's one as early as detroit) which you can just waltz through with the armour tree's electrical immunity and the picking up heavy objects and high jump augs I found really useful for sneaking around too.
@CuriousMoth Lol, ive gotten almost none of those augs :L i find the social chip aug the most useful aug in the game if im honest so far. Never once failed a social dialouge test with it. ah, ive already left detroit and into China. Some really easy side missions there. I think i'll take your advice and focus on the armour tree for now, seeing as normal enemies aren't much of a hassle as long as you stay in cover and sneaky sneaky xDI don't know about the cloak, it doesn't seem to last long.
@Rudie95 Well I went for cloak, fast sprint, sprint duration and silent sprinting so I could scurry right across a whole room within sixish seconds. It's always good to collect candy bars to scoff while cloaking since it effectively makes it last 7 seconds longer and thus you can reach the camera controls keeping you from getting that foxiest of hounds achievement. I was doing a stealth run though so you don't need to copy me ^^; The social enhancer is great - I forgot to mention it x_x;
@CuriousMoth I tried to do a stealth run but unfortunately stealth is not my style! I've avoided having an all out gun-fight so far thanks to the Tranquilizer gun, but have accidentally killed some peeps with headshots from the TG, losing me out on the Pacifist achievement :( ive just got a bunch of random augs, probably not the smartest tings to do... hmm, need to start planning :L
@Rudie95 Oh, well I didn't intend to make my stealth run a pacifist run. I'm gonna' do pacifist later :3 Foxiest of Hounds just means you don't set off alarms, you can still get spotted so long as they don't reach a panel or die in front of a camera or something.
That "In Time" film looks shit. I wonder if thats why the advert is on EVERY VIDEO?

@LinkkillsGanon4 You'd think so, but no... the crowbar in the first Deus Ex was my favorite.

Will skorch ever learn that he can turn off some of the side quest markers so he wont get confused?
blackhairedichigo 5 months ago 5
@blackhairedichigo It'd be nice if the quest markers could be given different colours. I'd make my pink and green and lilac.
CuriousMoth 5 months ago
@blackhairedichigo skorch likes them.

There should be a basketball court somewhere in this game, and once you find it and start playing basketball or something, you'll get an acheivement.

Hacking for the console version is so much more difficult.

@Rudie95 You mean the big military guy? Just shoot him with the stun gun, gives you plenty of time to diddle around with explosive barrels and so on.
