  • @Kuntagini. Are you saying bcos Igbos influenced the Okrika/Bonny dialect and culture so the Okrikans/Bonnys are Igbo? So it means Southern Nigerians are Britons and Nigerian Muslims are Arabs? No people and culture is an island, there are influences all over, but it does not matter. What does is the predominant culture and language of the people. Even with advent of King Jaja of Opobo, the Ibanis- Bonny and Opobo people are Ijaw people that have been influenced by Igbo culture.

  • God bless Ijaw people

  • wow! I amso proud to be an ijaw child

  • iam kalabari....pls is kalabari under ijaw.. and how about the okrikas and the bonny ppl

  • @zinamania yes they r all under Ijaw

  • @zinamania Kalabari / Okrika / Bonny are pure Ijaw

  • @Killayut, so you have come again to lie. Okrika and especially Bonny are not "pure ijaw" or whatever you call it. Okrika is a hybrid Igbo and Ijaw. Bonny are Igbos, a lot who have been accultured into Ijaws during the slave trade. Hence, this is why igbo is spoken there and you will here no Bonny man say he is ijaw.

  • @kuntagini This skunk want to argue with me about my own tribe again. Sick fool. Go Okrika and tell them they are not Ijaw and become meat for some hot pepper soup. Nama suobiri.

  • @Killayut, you are not from Okrika and they are not your tribe. You are Ijaw. Okrika is nothing new to meet.I visit there ALL THE TIME unlike you. They will tell you themselves that they are NOT IJAW. They are Okrika. They are well aware of their Igbo and Ijaw mixture.

  • @kuntagini Mr Yanmiri, Ok go and change the Amayanabo of Okrika title to EZE or Obi of Okrika and beat your chest cos Okrika is now an Igbo community . Hahahaha Igbo people struggle to make Ijaw people part of them like we are Gold.. Buro, I am an Ijaw man. An original Ijaw man from Rivers state. And you are an Igbo punk.. Goat this is not even an Igbo thread.. Go to Oliver de coke Thread and write about Okrika. This is an IJAW thread.

  • @Killayut Yanmiri? you are funny. You dont know your people are called Yanmiri too? lol.Go read a book.

  • @kuntagini LOL.. Yanmiri means nyem mmiri which means give me water in igbo... That is not Ijaw language and not my Language. It is Igbo... LOL.

  • @kuntagini Bro. every or most tribes and ethnic groups these days have some kinda mixture. There are Hausa Igbos like Ike Nwachukwu and there are Yoruba Hausas just as there are Igbo Ijaws. But the ancestral Culture base and language of the land determine what tribe they are and in this case Kalabari / Okrika / Bonny are all IJAWS. They are Tonye,Boma,Piriye, Dango, Adango, Senibo, Benibo,Amakiri, Tamuno, Biebele, Abiye,Ibiye,Ibiso,Soala,Adonye, Atedo, Ibimina, Soingo

  • @Killayut, Okrika and Bonny are not Ijaw. Go back and reread what I wrote earlier. Stop trying to annex people that are not your people.

  • @kuntagini . LOL.. This guy is not even ashame ? Okrika means you are all not different and WAKIRIKA means we are not different . We are one Ijaw people...

  • @Killayut, There is nothing like Hausa-Igbos,Yoruba-Hausas, or Igbo Ijaws. Lets not make this a joking matter.

  • @kuntagini Kunta, I am only trying to make people see you as sensible as they read your rubbish. Igbos becoming naturalized citizens of established Ijaw towns by Ijaws would only make them Igbo Ijaws .But if Yorubas would not make migrant Igbos citizens of a Yoruba land too bad. Ijaws were only kind to every one and not to only Igbos by making them adopted citizens and this should not make you think Okrika is now also an Igbo town. Ofcourse the word Okrika is Ijaw .

  • @Killayut What is the meaning of Okrika in your language? It seems you dont even speak your language, lol.

  • @kuntagini Okrika means You are all not different and it is the same in my language... Okrigha which is pronounced as Okri-ha and this distortion was caused by non indigenes among us that is now generally used . The Okrika way of saying it is the proper way where the G is pronounced as K making Okrigha becoming Okrika.

  • @kuntagini The Okrika dialect is pure Ijaw and 99% Kalabari and Ibani dialect of the Ijaw language group in vocabulary. There are borrowed Igbo words like Okpara and ofcourse the Okrika /Kalabari /Ibani original word for Okpara is TARIBO. A king is Amayanabo and not Obi or Eze, There is no Igbo tradition in Okrika and every Okrika Tradition is the same in Kalabari and Ibani from marriage ( IRIA ) to funeral to market to celebration ( ALALI )

  • @Killayut Okrika will never be oure ijaw, get it right. What does Amayanabo mean in your language?Lets not start with tradition. There is no way igbo can be counted out in a hybrid people of igbo mixture.Go learn Ngwa and Ikwere tradition then come back and each ur own crap.Like i said before, stop trying to claim a people that are not yours.

  • @kuntagini Ama-yana-bo MEANS owner of the town. it is a general Ijaw word from AROGBO to Opobo through Nembe, Kalabari and Okrika and Bonny

  • Now I need to go look for a wife from the Izon/Ijaw.....lol.

  • Superb

  • I Love This !!!
