NOW having said that, the driver should not have acted the way that they did. I can't disagree that this was an inappropriate use of the taser, but as my grandma used to say "It takes two to tango". Both parties were at fault here.

It sounds like the guy he tazed had associations with other police officers in another department so thats probably the only reason he even got justice for what happened. Its disturbing I can view police brutality videos for days without ever not seeing a new one.

The courts, cops, and the entire government could operate without extracting money through fines for traffic violations. As if they give a fuck about trying to get your money. It is a cops job to enforce the law, keep the peace and help people. Protect and serve. Granted some cops completely miss the point, but really? Their job is to extract money? DON'T break the law OR argue with cops. It is that simple. Got a beef with a dodgy cop? Get a Lawyer. Not perfect, but works for 99% of people.

Check it, while the guy in the car felt he was wronged by the cop yelling at him that should have been enough of a warning to comply and argue later. Having said that, the police are supposed to be trained in defusing a situation, not starting one and that is exactly what this cop did. Protect and serve not hunt and kill but then the government wants their "law-enforcement" dumb and subservient! just a thought :)

He asked to see DL, then he yells to see DL 3 seconds later -- this occurs where there appears to be a cut in the tape (but isn't) at 0:14 -- when the noisy motorcycle comes by. So perhaps the cop said it louder due to motorcycle, but he already said it once.
When the passenger reacts to this seeming craziness, but still shows intent to comply, everything escalates.
Cops aren't trained to de-escalate, and that is the problem.

Ya think this cop is on a power trip? Pulls her over for going 5 miles over the speed limit on the freeway and then gets aggravated because she is not getting her license fast enough. I could see if it was taking her like a half an hour to get her license (exaggeration of course) and he got aggravated and started getting histlie with her;but he really didn't give her any time. And the driver of the car could have handled it better too; instead of yelling back at the cop.

Police officers are SUPPOSED to be trained, professional communicators. Some officers now escalate too quickly and use the taser at inappropriate times.
NOW having said that, the driver should not have acted the way that they did. I can't disagree that this was an inappropriate use of the taser, but as my grandma used to say "It takes two to tango". Both parties were at fault here.
