I just read that Ba-Ku is also a Persian word. It comes from Bad-Kubidan (in Persian 'Bad' = wind & 'Kubidan' = pounding ... it means that BAKU is a "windy city"). Why are all the important Azerbaijan names in Persian? hmmmmmmmmmmmm
