  • Someone should tell jeff not to wear that jumper lol

  • i love this show :D

  • Coming Fall 2012, The Atheist Experience Designer Clothing. For those who don't believe in fashion.

  • That IS a good point! I never thought of it! If everything in the Mormon Bible was originally written on gold tablets, and that Bible is significantly thick, then those tablets would've weighed several tons! How the Hell did Smith pick it up?

  • @FrankLightheart they would probably say it was a miracle of God. Cos 'with God, all things are possible' :o)

  • @zeldagoblin God sure is good at making his miracles sound like a lot of hearsay.

  • jeff is atheist answer to the Care Bears!

  • I don't care that mormonism isn't true. any religion that believes in magic underwear has my respect!

  • Jeff went transparent! O: Nuuu! He's gonna fade into the night sky ~weeps~

  • Joseph Smith was a prophet dum dum dum! He founded the Mormon religion dum dum dum!

  • @RadarKat73080 dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum dum!!! X3

  • there are few people alive who would have made such a fair and succinct commentary on this as Matt Dillahunty

  • DMT unlocks all the secrets to our universe. Look it up before arguing.

  • Mormons, the ones who once openly claimed black people are inferior, good ol religion

  • I totally agree with the caller. I used to be Mormon (the real mormons), but havn't been for years (athiest now). However, when I hear people make false allegations about the beleifs of mormons, I get really defensive about it. I guess the hosts explained this pretty well, I'm not defending the church, just trying to make people realise the that what they are accusing the church of is false.

  • Atheist friends, it is not the objective of Christ and His Church to force you into submission or to fight any sort of intellectual and scientific developments; rather, it is our objective to bring you the Good News and Love of God. It is then your decision how to react to it. We are not surprised as to why there is much hatred and contempt against us; our own God was mocked, abandoned, and killed by the people He loved, and what He did was work for their salvation, not damnation. Peace! :)

  • @IoannesBellator It is PRECISELY the objective of Christ and his church to force us into submission. How else do you explain the "follow me or burn in hell for all eternity" thing? It´s not a decision, it´s coercion. Thank god he doesn´t exist.

  • @yatter1

No, it's "follow me or destroy yourself" Self-destruction is what atheist do the best (Highest suicide rates), since they don't have to follow any higher authority than themselves; their notion of the law is a joke, since it's derived from groupthink or rationalizations of outright wrong behaviors, the same way psychopaths operate. Name me atheist rulers who didn't kill their own people and excused themselves with a "perfectly good reasons".

  • @IoannesBellator you are just plain talking bollocks. now fuck off and bug someone else. You can´t talk to me if you´re dishonest and you, are DISHONEST, either that, or plain dumb.

  • @yatter1

Also, atheists have killed millions in the last 100 years than all the centuries of inquisitions and crusades the last 1,000 years; it was not the priest or the monk who develops atom bombs and uses them and excuses their actions and even using "God" to mask their actions. Are you saying that Mao and Stalin and Pol Pot never killed under the banner of a proudly atheistic ideologies? God exists, and you can thank Him for your freedom to badmouth Him; your rights don't come from men.

  • @IoannesBellator No atheist killed anyone in the name of atheism, that´s the difference, use your brain for fuck´s sake.

  • @IoannesBellator I'm sure there were alot of your dear christians involved in the making of the a bomb. and no, youre wrong in your math, with the crusades, religious wars, religion has killed many more than some nutty atheist, who wasnt even killing in the name of atheism, consider your spoonfed from your preacher crap pwned

  • @IoannesBellator Regardless of whether or not rights come from man, they can be taken away by men. If they are not protected by men with power, they might as well not exist.

  • lol those golden plates would have weighed over 2000 lbs, but he was suppost to have Hauled ass down the road with the plates in a bag over his shoulder while thieves chased him. Joe was on steroids.

  • I still don't understand why the clowns in the control booth keep putting that graphic of hell up behind the hosts. I can't see that doing anything but going against what the show is trying to do.

  • its kinda lame that they used one of the windows xp wallpapers as there background pic

  • @pghg022 Lame because it was an included background or because you don't like the pic? I actually used that background for several months back then. i kinda like it. Not especially original, I suppose.

  • Question for any Americans: I have never seen American local news so I wouldn't know, but do racist headlines commonly identify people's race?

  • @playadominical It depends. If the perpetrator of the crime is white and the victim is black, you bet your ass. If it's the other way around then it's simply a suspect and victim.

  • Let me get this straight God, I get to have as many wives as I want and tons of kids. Lets see 10 wives and they each have 10 kids each over ten years thats 100 kids. Who is going to support this giant family and pay for all these kids? Do all of them have private health care or medicare I would like to know. Or is polygamy only something a rich man can do?

  • omg this is close to where i live lol

  • I'm kind of lost of the supposedly brilliant point that begins at around 1:48. Could someone explain that to me?

  • @Makingnewnamesisdumb

    The golden plates supposedly disappeared.

  • @TheAtheistExperience According to Wikipedia, Smith returned the plates to an angle or some such nonsense.

  • @Makingnewnamesisdumb He said that a book the size of the book of mormon, inscribed on gold plates in the manner described, would fill a small truck, and they supposedly disappeared?

  • @Makingnewnamesisdumb It's that the book of mormon is really thick. if it was printed on golden plates, the book plates would stack up absurdly high.

  • @Makingnewnamesisdumb

The point was that the book that we have now is roughly about an inch thick and its printed on really thin paper using modern machines with hundreds of pages and therefore the size of this same book written in golden plates by hand would have been about the size of a small truck.

  • @Makingnewnamesisdumb And to contain all of that text they'd have to be the size of a small truck. Where did they go?

  • @Makingnewnamesisdumb

The point was, there is sooo much text in the book that to put them on golden plates, the plates would be huge. he says the size of a truck.

  • but why the Windows background...

  • joseph smith asked god which religion to believe in, and god said ""All the same shit thats in the bible, exept you get to have an infinite about of wifes. And joseph smith replied """OH YEAH"".

  • 6:37 Jeff Dee and his magical color-changing snowflake shirt! :)

  • @Kia044 His dinosaur shirts are the best.

  • I read that book by Krakaur that Jeff mentioned at the end. It made me sick, reading what those Mormon men did to girls.

  • I think they're talking about Jeffrey Lundgren, that fat, ugly, pockmarked, shit-stinking scumbag who ordered the murders of one of the families in his cult's compound, after the RLDS Church kicked his ass out for stealing $40K and for saying that he was the only true prophet of God. The state of Ohio executed him in '06, and I wish I could've been there. I'd've done him with a bucket of water and a frayed extension cord wired to his tiny little excuse for a penis. Cocksucker.

  • @gspendlove I sense a small measure of hostility towards this gentleman... ;)

  • I am an ex Mormon, I often find myself defending it. I don't believe in it however I know a lot about it and I know what criticism is accurate and what is not. Now if I can just get those damn hymns out of my head.

  • For starters.....the Mormom Church....with world headquarters in Utah....is a spin-off of the Community of Christ R.L.D.S. organization with world headquarters in Missouri.

The U.S. Supreme Court figured this out in the 1970's. You need to catch up your facts base.

  • this clip is completely on point with what i always say. and that is that religious backgrounds are hard to leave behind, plain and simple. the things we are raised with sink in deeper than anything we learn later and it is very difficult to deprogram them. I mean, there are things people told me when I was a child that I still have a tendency to think are true. It's like a predisposition to defend what we learn as children.

  • @FatherofMan25 I call it residual theism. Many atheists who were raised in some brand of theism hold to a residual theistic morality when it comes to sexuality.

  • I'm confused. What the hell are they talking about? A black guy mugged some Mormons?

  • @KokotTheMonkey - I think they're saying that Mormons found out how magnets work =)

  • @Critic863 Now if they could just unravel RAINBOWS for us!

  • Jeff Dee looks like he's either tired or stoned or both. Maybe that's why he stays so calm here.

  • None of the churches were right, and god sat around for 1800 years waiting for someone to ask!

  • Jeff Dee didn't go on a single rant in this video. I want my money back 8-(

  • @lewisner Then you shouldn't have looked in the atheist caller section ;)

  • @Jostedalsosten - there's an atheist caller section??? >.> Looks like I'm in the wrong section.

  • these people doesn't know anything why listen to them oh crap

  • these people doesnt know anything why listen to them oh crap

  • Has anyone noticed this.

The angel Moroni is a very telling name. Because if something is relating to acid it is acidic. If it relates to hebrew it is hebraic ..... if it relates to Moroni it must be moronic

  • @sum1otosh1 hahahahaha so if corn oil is made from corn then whats is baby oil made from?

  • @dodgyhingst No, no, it's not made FROM babies, it's made to lubricate babies, just like snake oil is how snakes slide around on their bellies.

  • dude...his shirt

  • lots of christian sex popping up... how can you take someone serious when they open with that?

  • @morthim ....you're kidding right?

  • @OpinionatedAussie yes i was :D

  • @morthim He said " Christian sects" Which, I think, means sections.

  • @morthim

He said 'Sects', not 'Sex'. A sect is a group that follows certain beliefs.

You kinda showed your lack of intelligence there by not knowing what that word is.

  • @Numinous123 and you just showed a lack of humor for homophones.

  • @morthim

    lol

  • @ehhhhhhhhhh "we've got this book of mormon that's you know this thick and you know on golden plates it would be the size of a truck... and where'd they go?"

Is that the part you're talking about?

  • I couldn't really hear the first "brilliant" point that the man made because of the distortion of the phone and/or his wording... can someone paraphrase it for me?

  • @ehhhhhhhhhh

The caller says: We've got this book of Mormon that's this thick and [written] on golden plates the size of a small truck, and where to do they end up?

The place the Mormons ended up was Salt Lake City.

  • @mandolinic That was a brilliant point.. and it went completely over my head. Thanks.

  • Scary fact- there are actually grown men and women in America that believe the story of how Mormonism was founded.

Scarier fact- most of these people are registered voters.

  • and even scarier....they vote for "Politicians".

  • AAAAARRRRRHHHHHHHHH

  • @Macrochenia

even scarier fact - they wear holy underwear.

oh wait. thats not scary, its funny. my bad.

  • Even Scarier fact - we had a presidential candidate that was close to winning the republican primaries ( Romney )

  • Yup, that's scary, but still not as scary as Sarah Palin.

  • actually when you look at it.......its way scarier than palin.

  • Our current president may not have been my first choice, but it's hard to see where he's less qualified than someone who's self professed "experience with foreign governments" was being able to see Russia. Don't believe everything that comes out of the Republican propaganda machine.

  • @micfail2 palin is also a complete moron

  • @asdfbobbyasdf don't get me wrong, I agree that palin is nearly legally retarded...however, obama is still less qualified then her, which is quite embarrassing to me as a proud citizen of the United States, since he was somehow elected president.

  • @micfail2 i consider qualification not jsut time spent in office ut presentation of knowledge. I congadulate obama on most things he has done. I think he needs some more balls for the most part, but it's whats gotta happen. Palin just is one of the most unintelligent people in the US. SHe constantly states that america is a christian nation though writings from the founders state otherwise. im glad atleast obama has a handle on reality. Even bush had more of a grip on reality than palin

  • @micfail2 actually, obama got a lot of shit for being "not qualified enough", it's just people talked less and less about it when palin came in the picture

  • One of my favorite Desiree quotes, If you think white people are more educated and rational than jungle savages, then how do you explain Mormonism?

  • I remember when I was a Mormon that whenever there was a bad story on the news about the actions of the church or a church elder, it was always because the devil was putting most of his effort against the "true church."

  • They should make movies of all the religions... that be hell funny... and scary too I guess.

  • they should make a marvel v. capcom style video game around religions...mohammed's hadoken takes out jesus and his throwing halo spears

  • lol, ya, all the weird unorthodox ideas are gr8 xD

  • pray to the flying spaghetti monster and it will be done!!!!

    google for:

    "faith fighter"

your wish has been fulfilled! now bow to his noodley appendage.

  • ramen.

  • @tieInterceptor

why am in not suprised to find that there is a video game where you can pit mohammed vs. jesus?

why am i less suprised that you know about it?

  • i go to school in bloomington- theres crazy religious groups all around that area, primarily on campus. the other day my buddy got a visit from jehova's witnesses.

  • just makes me think of south park

"joseph smith, dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb"

  • @mambuduomally YES! i love that episode. and then the one dude questions him it's like, "smart, smart, smart smart, smart!"

  • @rman11126 It was the guy's wife. Whoever Smith was working with XD That was a fun episode

  • @mambuduomally I live 10 minutes from the town this all "happened."

  • @mambuduomally Lucy Harris smart smart smart..... Martin Harris dumb-dadumb.

  • is that snowflake of Jeff's shirt green or something?

  • Great book recommendation at the end! I'm actually currently reading that. Good, interesting book.

  • Here in Stockton, being robbed on Dr. Martin Luther King Bouleveard by a black man is not a stereotype.

  • Same here in Atlanta.

  • @ReverendAtomSmasher

    haha, some here man.

why is it the same case in nearly every city?

  • Great vid. Keep up the good works guys :D

  • cool
