racemom.....I'm 15 and trying to talk my dad into letting me race. Its not that he's worried about me getting hurt, a lot of our friends race, and he used to help work on the cars. His problem is he doesnt want to help fix the car up when it gets banged up. But, me and a few of my friends LOVE working on cars...and have fixed up dads old truck last summer using our own money and time. I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do to help convince him?

@racemom thanks lol. He's slowly running out of excuses. It used to be I couldnt afford it, but in 3 weeks of summer I've saved 170 dollars....200 once I put my change in the bank haha. Then it went to I wouldnt put any time into it, which I proved wrong by putting all that time and effort into his (soon my) truck. Now its at He doesn't want to help work on the car...which again I figure I can prove him wrong by finishing the truck still using my time, money, and just my friends help.

Lawton Speedway Is one of the Best Run Tracks in America . i was Stationed there in the Middle Eighties and saw some Fantastic Action there . The Dirt Tracks in Ohio could learn something from Lawton when it comes to keeping The Dust Down .
