I'm such a huge Tool fan but why the sycophantic bollocks. This is a BLOODY good song. Look at the pedigree - Tool cover this and Led Zeppelin... they take the bass player from this band... what point are you trying to make? You're not chalking up brownie points in Maynard land, he'd tell you to get a grip on yourselves!!

Such a shame that Tool had to play this live, and never record it in a studio version... I loved the song, but Maynard's vocals on Salival have got to much of a reverb for my taste, it's actually a pain in my ass... Otherwise, just amazing...

What a mesmerizing song, both versions are great! Although I'll say I like how much more raw vocals are released in the scream "YOU LIED!" in the the Tool version.

The Peach version lyrics: "Time heals, time congeals around you,

I somehow much prefer the Tool modified words, sound much more meaningful and beautiful "Time heals time congeals around us, Endless hours of wasted moments, Understanding not demanding, Your eyes tell what you feel inside"

However, this original is really really good too though obviously Maynard's voice is divine.

I saw tool play this live recently and Justin fuckin ripped shit up on the vocals as well and it was awesome :) i think both versions are good

Didn't much dig the vocals, but the rest was amazing. Sorry, but I so much prefer the Tool version, Maynard's vocals just complete it for me. Still a good song though.
