You have no clue on how our military works, or how it was designed. I assure you, i have quite a good idea considering ive spent 8 years of my life in the army. My stepfather served as naval intel. My father served in Vietnam in the army. My grandpa on my moms side served in the army and was in the korean war and my granpa on my fathers side served in WW2. No i wouldnt have any idea what so ever on how our military works. Now on to statistics because im dealing with a 15 year old.

@Tha89Kid You see genius, the US military has one of the largest military personel wise. Troop wise we are not that big. in the 1st gulf war we committed 500,000 troops total. That counted for almost everyone. Sadam had 1.2 milion ground troops.

This time around, he still had almost 1 million, we used about 250k.

Why we stomped him, was because we starved them. We cut off all their food and when we rolled, we held up food and water and a huge chunk surrendered.

@Tha89Kid Whats funny is we export a crap ton of food to china because they have population issues. The US in almost all of its conflicts were out numbered. We still curb stop people. China has a few good things, but Navy wise they cant compete, Airforce they cant touch us. Army they have numbers and thats it. The only real threat is air defence and that can be stopped. tomahawks worked quite well, but we have other ways of bombing.

@Tha89Kid guerilla warfare makes life harder, and thats why weeding out taliban takes longer, as for a standing army, which china has. The US is notoriously known for being able to destroy. Its what we were trained to do. The last 1- years has been more on guerilla fighting, but when you in large groups, as standing armies are. We carpet bomb, and drop cluster bombs, it chews numbers up.. We would carpet bomb a trench of iraqis, bulldoze it over and move to the next one.

Actually no, they are quite good at hitting their targets and todays are very accurate. As for iraq, we stomped sadams military within a short time, but with fighters coming in from Iran,syria,jordan and others, we werent fighting a standing army but guerilla warfare in which those things can go for decades. Afgan was a done deal till we started in iraq and pulled troops and that allowed taliban to regroup. A standing army and guerilla fighters are 2 very different fights

@bywestonbay That's because all the weapons are internal and not exposed to radar. Did you see Boeings version? It can carry 3000 lbs. of weaponry at mach. 1.6. and it's all internal. That's why it looks like that, kinda bulky. Not a jet in the world can do that to date.
