It's amazing how we are biased towards the first version of the music we hear, and this is exactly like the performance of the LA Phil at the Hollywood Bowl sooooo many years ago. Thank you for sharing.

I like the fourth movement. It is funny that the finale is one long ending. I have also heard that this was the first significant symphony in which were used trombones, contrabasoon and piccolo.

People tend to remember only the first movement but the entire symphony is epic... also would somebody give a darned pill to whoever is coughing to death there
