But the unnecessary excessive killings in Kalinga wars probably puts a blot in his "greatness". Although he became peaceful Buddhist later and did a lot of good work.

Magahi is a language just like bhojpuri being spoken by lacalites of bihar. This particular song is not in Magahi, its actually a song from Hindi album(Indian national language) sung by A R RAhman. Transaltion is as below (in english, as I dont know Roman)

This song is in Hindi. Which is the chief language of Bihar. Magadhi, Bhojpuri and other languages started out as dialects of Hindi and therefore Sanskrit and through a period of thousands of years of continous habitation in that region have become slightly distinct from their root languages. Just like Spanish and Portuguese originated from Latin. But Hindi is universely spoken and understood in Bihar.
