Tim Bradstreet's covers are hands down the best covers ever made. Alex Ross is great, but Tim just does it for me.

Darrick Robertson is a great artist too. Perhaps my favorite.

The only thing about Jim Lee I don't like is his inconsistency with putting out artwork. There's no way he could work on a monthly series and I think that hurts his like-ability for me.

I don't see how you get around not mentioning Alex Ross when talking about artists and covers. But as far as artists that really draw me into the story and make me forget where I am, I think Eduardo Risso or Steve Dillon are far up there.
