  • Lllll.."

  • Simple but interesting panoramic approach. Wonderfully complementary to the vocals and the overall atmosphere of the piece. When the panned vocals come in I quite enjoy the combination of mutual emotion, that is of the same nature in comparison between the instrumentation and Lead vocals. Elegant.

  • 5 people don't know what good music is.

  • What a stunning composition. One can close their eyes and that for these few moments... lose themselves in a journey of the senses. Mmm... thanks for sharing this song.

  • HOW CAN ANYONE DISLIKE SUCH HUNTING BEAUTY? IT BAFFLES ME

  • @Arthwagner and others..All tho the Roman de la rose is as good a place to start as anywhere else I would suggest that people touched spiritually by this song would mayhaps need some additional guidance..At the time of the two poets a group of people claimed to be in possesion of a book of love and they held the colour blue in high esteem.. The troubadours played an important role in the workings of this group and they did indeed originate in the areas you mention..At first glance at any rate..

  • Was in a Weston, Mo. gift shop on a winter morning in 97' and heard this song playing. Bought the CD, never heard of Connie Dover at the time but continue to listen to her music. She has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard.

  • Nikita have reason, but only in parts.

In Occitania or Languedoc many centuries ago, there are some poets, "trovadors" that sing about the love, about the frienship , about the brotherhood that binds us and that we've forget.

They sing about fairy loves from a ladies called Belle Dame sans Merci. It's possible that only are mortal women, but Jean De Meun and Guillaume de Lorris talk about women that guide the men, that disapears when the men leave the listenings, that forsake the gods, forever

  • Narf

  • this is a beautiful song

  • beautiful thankyou

  • If I ever get to heaven I'm sure this is what the angels will sound like. This voice is one in a million.

  • Sure this voice isn't 1 in 6.5 billion?

  • This is coming from someone who mainly listens to opera: this voice has so much lyric color to it that I've not heard from some of the best lyric sopranos and mezzo's. There's no strain, no definable register differences, no grinding at the bottom. This is a pure voice with a natural technique. She has great coloratura turns and her breath control is superb.

I think that a lot of classical singers can learn a lot from listening to her. This is what the natural female sound is. No tricks!

  • @ydracomagusy I love you ! That's what I thought the second I started listening to this.

  • Jean est parti a la guerre et elle l,attend ,elle voudrais aussi revenir en arriere (que la rose fut encore au rosier )
