  • Perlman, definitely.

  • I love him

  • QAF!!!

  • Oh my God, he scares me... I've just started working on this piece, I play it three times slower and I'm glad I'm still alive!

  • Queer as folk <3

  • its quite impossible to play this piece in viola xD but gl :P

  • @eduhyuuga play it a 5th lower. it may give it a deeper feel than its supposed to have but for your instrument it should suffice.

  • i'm majoring in music performance on my viola this year as a freshman, I cant wait to be able to play things like this

  • It's just amazing! I love this piece, and that he played it!

  • I am currently addicted to this amazing piece.

  • Lovely piece beautifuly played. TY 007 veliz for posting and Candy for sharing.

  • This is a itzhak perlman Recording

  • He looks like my violin teacher lol.

  • Agree, sounds just like the Pearlman version I have.

  • sounds like perlman

  • I really like this interpretation!!!

  • Magistral!!

  • he looks like arnold schwarzeneggar (holy crap i just spelled his name!)

  • Is one of the pics him at aushwitz?

  • @Violanerd6 Yes, it appears so

  • Comment removed

  • lol this is perlman for sure i have the CD

  • Waaah this guy is amazing!! The sound is so clear and you can hear every note! Tho the pics are a bit much - -;

  • Fantastyczne i genialne wykonanie!

  • he plays it very well, and also in generally, he plays greatly, but i say, he doesn't play in the same tempo - i've got a cd, which he plays on Bruch's and Mendelssohn's concertos... they aro also brilliant, but the tempo is changing as well, which isn't just a romantic way of performance or interpretation, but a bit "disturbing".

    However, amazing!

  • definitely perlman- you can tell by listening to the shifts. His classical are unmistakable.

  • yeah, this definitely isn't vengerov. sounds like perlman to me.

still great, but totally different style.

  • This is never Vengerov Damm i dont like this sound never in the world dammm

  • Whoever played this piece, either Vengerov or Perlman, he played brilliantly.

  • Its Perlman

  • I think this is Heifetz.

  • @paulcatalin Its Perlman

  • @paulcatalin

no, it's another.bur heifitz no.and perlman also no.

  • I was about to say that this really changes some of my thinking about Vengerov.

But now I know it's really Perlman--and sounds it!

  • So...Clear...How...

  • This does not sound like Vengerov; it's not his musicality.

A Paganini lamentablemente no hemos podido escuchar.

  • 100% perlman. I have heard this hundreds of times and can guarantee that this is perlman.

  • I'm not critizising but this is the truth, and the proof that it is perlman. Perlman makes small, nearly unhearable out of tune notes, like in paganini caprice 24 he made a slight out of tune A. also he makes a tiny mistake at 3:18, so this is perlman + i have the cd!

  • Really???

Only because of all the Perlman ive heard he always does this short stacattoiness that annoys the living hell outta me.....

and this one didnt.... So. xDDD I dont know.

Although i could be really REALLY wrong. xDDD

  • VERY GOOD! perfect! respect!!!

  • You may find the details of THIS uploaded audio!!!! (in Japanese) - if you save it as a file - Perlman's name - イツァーク・パールマン/サミュエル・サンダース. I hope this finally resolves the argument :-))

P.S. Again 007veliz i couldn't begin to understand - why the hell pretend, and confuse others... this surely couldn't be mistake...

  • This iS (fantastiq) Perlman for all who are still unsure, and the uploader probabaly knows so. Why pretend it is not --- I wouldn't know(???)

  • why havent i heard him play this before? it's great.

  • the cd is called vengerov (kreisler, paganini, wieniawski

  • М. M. Vengerov joure` tres bien.

  • Such a beautiful tone... I don't really understand why some ppl say this is vengerov... It's pretty obvious that it's perlman.. And so far i only prefer this play from all the others.. It's just perfect,

  • @Chinensis8 The tone doesn't seem brilliant enought to be Perlman, the spiccato doesn't sound... what's the word... ?heavy? enough; if you listen to Perlman's spiccato it's almost as if he's lifting the bow and smashing it back down again, the sound of which isn't here. And to focus on an aspect of your comment, you said "such a brilliant tone." Why does it make it not possible that it's Vengerov playing?

  • @rapter9800 yeah i didn't know until i heard one of his songs~! it's just lovely.....

  • this one sounds a bit...scratchy from the playing.

  • i almost prefer this to heifetz, idc whether it's perlman or vengerov. it's great.

  • again, i matched this record EXACTLY WITH ITUNES!. to the point where both recording are playing at the same pace so you cant even hear the difference in the notes as if its one violinist. now perlman encore album matches perfectly with the record. believe me, its perlman! if you had good listening ears, you would know.

  • yes true this is perlman ...

  • omg who cares if its perlman or vengerov because its good no matter what..plus its here for enjoyment not to argue whos playing it

  • i disagree, its important, the individuality of sound is important. listen to perlman encore album if you can, believe me, its not vengerov.

  • I dont care who it is so why make a big deal if it is perlman or vengerov.. wow what has people come to today.. nobody gives a flying F

  • of course it matters, truth matters. you think that its okay to call an oistrakh recording heifetz ?

  • I honestly dont care as long as i enjoy it and u arent the one who has the right to say its okay or not.. plus no one realy gives a crap so just stop trying to be a cocky ass

  • what are you talking about? how am i being cocky? im just telling the truth! and i understand that you don't care but other people do. other people agree that it is perlman..because it is!, it might not matter to you, im not sure if your a violinist or not, but for violinist, it matters. and settle down, we can have a civilized discussion without curse words. thank you

  • this is not vengerov, it's faster than the version on the cd with brown, and some different phrasing too... what cd is it from?

  • Nice, even Excellent. By youtube standards, this even has good audio quality. Anytime I want to listen to the scherzo I will come to this video.

  • omg ofc its not perlman its vengerov i have cd and i also have 2 concerts where he plays this....he is far much better than any1 else

extraordinary, beautiful! And YYYYYYYYYEEEEESSSSSSSS is Vengerov! deaf and stubborn people! I have the same CD

  • Which CD? Can u plz give its details?

    Thankyou!

  • look up the cd

    Itzhak Perlman Encores

  • that is the name , it has the same exact recording.

  • Comment removed

  • *perlman

  • it is perman... i have the cd of him

  • This is not Perlman you idiots

  • yes it is perlman for sure, vengerov sounds nothing like this are you kidding me? this piece is on perlmans encore album and it sound exactly the same !

  • Yes, I´m also sure that this is our beloved Itzhak Perlman--no doubt!

  • hahahha im so sure this is perlman its not even funny, i was able to match this recording with the perlman recording in itunes, and it was the same exact tempo and phrasing !!! hahaha! that proves it.

  • perhaps you have a wrongly tagged file...

  • trust me, this is not vengerov, you can hear it in the crispness of the sound , tone and vibrato.

  • yeah im pretty sure this is perlman.

  • Lol no one believes its vengerov...the performance is great whoever it is...I'm inclined to believe the uploader isn't lying though. Why would you lie about it being vengerov?

  • xD ....POR LO MENOS EN EL CD QUE COMPRE ME DECIA QUE ERA MAXIM VENGEROV ..AHORA QUIEN LO INTERPRETA YO CREO QUE NO ES TEMA, MAS BIEN LA MAGNIFICA OBRA DE Wieniawski ES ALGO QUE MERECE COMENTARIO... : )

  • 007veliz - please translate your saying as I am very interested. Thank you for uploading this. FANTASTIC!!!

  • Perlman?

  • sounds like midori...

  • are you sure this is vengerov????? i have his album with ian brown. this is NOT VENGEROV!!!!! you made a misteake!!check once more the rec. you are uploading!!

  • I'm not a fan of his indulgences however, I must say this performance is just outstanding - almost too good to be true....

  • that because its not vengerov, its the hero, perlman.
