@BibleJesusChristian Don't worry - I know all about what EGW taught. I agree with her statement in GC pg 422 - The sins of the righteous will be transferred to Satan - who will die in the wilderness. Note that this does not stop Christ from being our saviour and is consistent with the sanctuary model. We are saved by faith and grace in Jesus. A part of being faithful is being to G-d and His commandments.

I find it odd that many antinomians erect monuments to, and cite the ten commandments when "America has sinned" in relation to abortion, homosexuality, and other issues - and then they turn around and say "the law has been done away with." There is something that most people do not seem to understand. God's law, the ten commadments is still in force(1John 3:4, James 2:9-12(James was talking to Christians not Jews). In all of Paul's writtings he emphasizes that we are saced by grace through faith but through faith, he says, 'we establish the law' (rom 3.31). But in the times of ignorance God winks but now commands all men everywhere to repent-if ye hear his voice harden not your hearts..

It's because adventists believe that satan is the second goat in the day of atonement, which happens to provide atonement with the first goat. So technically sda's believe that satan provides an atonement for them.

IF an individual rejects the atonement of Jesus - they will pay the price - the result is destruction (in the same way, Satan will pay the price and will be destroyed). The High Priest transfers the sins of the righteous to Satan (as can be seen in the model of the earthly sanctuary). This is NOT Satan saving us - this is Satan receiving the responsibility for sin, and thenceforth being cast into the outer darkness - into the void.

The weight of evidence is on the side of those who kept the Sabbath AFTER the death and resurrection of our Master.

Nehemiah 9 mentions that the sabbath was made known to Moses. Deuteronomy says that the covenant of the ten commandments was not given to their forefathers. Justin Martyr an early christian who lived in the first/second century wrote that they knew the early patriarchs never kept the sabbath, but yet was still righteous.
Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
Both of the verses say the same thing. James says break one you are guilty of the entire law, Paul says if you don't keep everything, you become guilty, or cursed. Neither are speaking specifically of the ten.
Really depends how you want to interpret that verse. What statutes does he mean? Does he mean all the statutes and laws given in the law of Moses? or does that verse simply mean what the Lord made known to Abraham at that time?
For example, God commanded Abraham to be circumcised, and to circumcise all his male children. There is no direct clarification to lead a person to think it means sabbath in that verse, not when Nehemiah says otherwise.

Is he still the one who delivers from the house of bondage? Notice that God introduces himself in the Ten commandments as the one that brought the Israelites from the house of bondage. @Myhopeisinhim Go back to Genesis. G-d rested on the seventh day. Adam was there. Adam would have known that G-d had set the Sabbath apart. It's a very basic deduction that in the communication between G-d and Adam that the Sabbath would have been related and would have been transmitted via the faithful from generation to generation. Yes, the children of Israel needed a reminder, because they had been living under the Egyptian system for a long time, and had (no doubt) made many concessions.

The sabbath also pointed to how it was the Lord of creation and no other that sanctified the people of Israel through his own works.

I'm just saying that mybe thats not the best way to handle it. I think a better approch is to underline what we agree on. And what each orginazations strengths are. For instance the Amish are great at sepperating themselves from the world, Catholics are great at showing reverance and respect to the Lord, and the Protastant church is good at worshiping the Lord. We have a common cause so lets keep it at that, otherwise we'll be undermining the purpose of the church.

Strange how as a 4th generation Adventist I have never heard of most of the doctrines that are supposed to be ours...I was not only raised in the church but was educated through the Adventist school system. I believe that salvation is attained through Christ's sacrifice for my sins on the cross...simple as that. As far as the Sabbath I figure God is as surely in a Sunday keeping church as mine...God is way to big to be contained in one denomination.
I believe the second goat explains more of what Jesus did for us, how he took our sin in his own body and removed them from us, as the bible explains, as far as the east is from the west so far has he removed our transgressions from it.

SDA's (of which I was born into) are extremely loyal to their Church (and who can blame them. SDA promotes good education, health etc.) I think SDA'ism is top of the Church pile.

I don't think people will be judged based on their christian identity. God won't ask our passport and divide us in adventist, catholics and latter day saints. I think we should be very careful with these kind of videos judging an entire group. Furthermore, the adventists have a lot of things that other churches might learn from. As in any church there are conservative and liberal members. However, everyone will be judged based on their relationship with the lord, adventists or non-adventists.
The sabbath(saturday) was set as a reminder that we are created by God and didnt come around by chance and this would straight away discredit all theories of how the world and all flesh came about.

That's a nice little story, but it's not Biblical. The Sabbath is the 7th day of the week that God (not us) deemed holy, and set apart from every other day. This does not mean that we only worship on on the Sabbath, but we are to put away all secular work and activity and focus on God, His creation, and salvation through Christ.
If I come to the Lord of the Sabbath to "rest" then I would think it's strange He would also want me to rest on one day of the week. I'm already resting. You doctrine is crazy.

1)What you subjectively see as strange doesnt change what scripture teaches. You shouldn't throw your own emotions into the interpretation of scripture.
2)Notice what I originally said. The Sabbath is a day. Christ is Lord of the Sabbath; He is not the Sabbath Himself. Christ declares what is (not)acceptable on the Sabbath cause He is Lord. He did not change His mind and decide to hit the delete button on the stone tablets. The law is eternal.
Ok, then how do you reconcile the fact that God commands us to "honor our mother and father" and then Jesus called His mother "woman" and later states that our enemies will be they "of our own households". How come you spend so much time on one commandment? that's called a cult. You don't understand the commandments and thats because you have never been saved. You're like unsaved jews who tie off their belongings to strings on their garments so that they dont carry anything on the sabbath.
First of all, it is up to God to decide who is saved, not you. Only He knows one's heart. Secondly, SDA's spend time on the entire law, but the Sabbath is important because it is so widely dismissed. We are to honor our parents, but not if they are in contradiction with the will of God. That should be obvious.
The Sabbath (which is what we are discussing) is part of God's law, which is part of His eternal character; and He does not change. Mal 3:6 To break the Sabbath is to sin my friend.
It should be "obvious" that we are to serve God 24 hours a day, seven days a week. but it's not obvious to you. And we were discussing the sabbath and you mentioned the "eternal law" so i mentioned another commandment which you obviously didnt appreciate. You are now debating in circles. You have not yet shown from the Bible where the Sabbath was abolished. Where, from the scripture, is Christ the new Sabbath, as you claim?
And yes, ofcourse we are to worship God 24/7. SDAs wouldn't argue against that; but the Sabbath is set aside for time solely with God and time away from daily secular business. I'm not making this up man; it is in the Word.

I'm curious to know the reasons teenagers invoke when deciding to do away with Ellen White--maybe they did not even read her books--they formed their opinions about her based on rumors they heard from their parents (who in many cases they,themselves, had no idea of what they believed).
The SDA church needs to reform itself away from Ellen White. When I was a member of it I noticed that most members did not really think too much of her or her books. In some ways its actually a superior church.

I was never an official member of this church because of the Ellen White worship. I was raised Pentecostal, which IS a cult, tried Lutheranism, Baptistism, Non-Domism, and eventually got into voodou and witch craft. I felt God was calling me out of all of that into the SDA. Thank you for uploading this excellent, helpful and sobering documentary. I have dear friends who are seventh-day adventists and I went along to their church and thought it was a great bible-believing church. But in one of their services they clearly denied hell! I have never again visited their church and I thank God for helping me to realize that the seventh-day adventist church is a cult to draw people away from the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I look at it this way she was only human and yes she made a mistake but something did come out of this she wrote the truth of the Bible. I think she just got confused about what God showed her. I know ellen is telling the truth because God showed me the same thing he showed her and I didn't even know ellen at all and I didn't even hear of her till I joined the seventh day adventist church searching for a church that taught the truth in the Bible.

@BibleJesusChristian Don't worry - I know all about what EGW taught. I agree with her statement in GC pg 422 - The sins of the righteous will be transferred to Satan - who will die in the wilderness. Note that this does not stop Christ from being our saviour and is consistent with the sanctuary model. We are saved by faith and grace in Jesus. A part of being faithful is being to G-d and His commandments.

There is something that most people do not seem to understand. God's law, the ten commadments is still in force(1John 3:4, James 2:9-12(James was talking to Christians not Jews). In all of Paul's writtings he emphasizes that we are saced by grace through faith but through faith, he says, 'we establish the law' (rom 3.31). But in the times of ignorance God winks but now commands all men everywhere to repent-if ye hear his voice harden not your hearts..

It's because adventists believe that satan is the second goat in the day of atonement, which happens to provide atonement with the first goat. So technically sda's believe that satan provides an atonement for them.

IF an individual rejects the atonement of Jesus - they will pay the price - the result is destruction (in the same way, Satan will pay the price and will be destroyed). The High Priest transfers the sins of the righteous to Satan (as can be seen in the model of the earthly sanctuary). This is NOT Satan saving us - this is Satan receiving the responsibility for sin, and thenceforth being cast into the outer darkness - into the void.

There are exceptions, and there are extreme cases (as can happen in any establishment), but you need only go to the SDA website to find out what our fundamentals are. The early Christians kept the Sabbath (the ones who didn't compromise with the pagan Sun-religions for the sake of ecumenical affairs). Don't spiritualise the Sabbath away. The weight of evidence is on the side of those who kept the Sabbath AFTER the death and resurrection of our Master.

Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath. Don't you want to do it the way He did? Similarly, Origen, Justyn Matyr, Augustine, and many of the other "church fathers" cannot compete with Scriptural authority. The Bible overrules them.

Here we see it being given to Moses and shared with the people. This also verifies the fact that before Exodus 16, no man is shown as having kept it.

Nehemiah 9 mentions that the sabbath was made known to Moses. Deuteronomy says that the covenant of the ten commandments was not given to their forefathers. Justin Martyr an early christian who lived in the first/second century wrote that they knew the early patriarchs never kept the sabbath, but yet was still righteous.

Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
Both of the verses say the same thing. James says break one you are guilty of the entire law, Paul says if you don't keep everything, you become guilty, or cursed. Neither are speaking specifically of the ten.

Really depends how you want to interpret that verse. What statutes does he mean? Does he mean all the statutes and laws given in the law of Moses? or does that verse simply mean what the Lord made known to Abraham at that time?
For example, God commanded Abraham to be circumcised, and to circumcise all his male children. There is no direct clarification to lead a person to think it means sabbath in that verse, not when Nehemiah says otherwise.

It's a very basic deduction that in the communication between G-d and Adam that the Sabbath would have been related and would have been transmitted via the faithful from generation to generation. Yes, the children of Israel needed a reminder, because they had been living under the Egyptian system for a long time, and had (no doubt) made many concessions.

I'm just saying that mybe thats not the best way to handle it. I think a better approch is to underline what we agree on. And what each orginazations strengths are. For instance the Amish are great at sepperating themselves from the world, Catholics are great at showing reverance and respect to the Lord, and the Protastant church is good at worshiping the Lord. We have a common cause so lets keep it at that, otherwise we'll be undermining the purpose of the church.

Strange how as a 4th generation Adventist I have never heard of most of the doctrines that are supposed to be ours...I was not only raised in the church but was educated through the Adventist school system. I believe that salvation is attained through Christ's sacrifice for my sins on the cross...simple as that. As far as the Sabbath I figure God is as surely in a Sunday keeping church as mine...God is way to big to be contained in one denomination.

I don't think people will be judged based on their christian identity. God won't ask our passport and divide us in adventist, catholics and latter day saints. I think we should be very careful with these kind of videos judging an entire group. Furthermore, the adventists have a lot of things that other churches might learn from. As in any church there are conservative and liberal members. However, everyone will be judged based on their relationship with the lord, adventists or non-adventists.

That's a nice little story, but it's not Biblical. The Sabbath is the 7th day of the week that God (not us) deemed holy, and set apart from every other day. This does not mean that we only worship on on the Sabbath, but we are to put away all secular work and activity and focus on God, His creation, and salvation through Christ.

Your argument is flawed on a couple levels here:
1)What you subjectively see as strange doesnt change what scripture teaches. You shouldn't throw your own emotions into the interpretation of scripture.
2)Notice what I originally said. The Sabbath is a day. Christ is Lord of the Sabbath; He is not the Sabbath Himself. Christ declares what is (not)acceptable on the Sabbath cause He is Lord. He did not change His mind and decide to hit the delete button on the stone tablets. The law is eternal.

Ok, then how do you reconcile the fact that God commands us to "honor our mother and father" and then Jesus called His mother "woman" and later states that our enemies will be they "of our own households". First of all, it is up to God to decide who is saved, not you. Only He knows one's heart. Secondly, SDA's spend time on the entire law, but the Sabbath is important because it is so widely dismissed. We are to honor our parents, but not if they are in contradiction with the will of God. That should be obvious.
The Sabbath (which is what we are discussing) is part of God's law, which is part of His eternal character; and He does not change. Mal 3:6 To break the Sabbath is to sin my friend.

"If you had Christ you would know immediately that you're in a cult.".....that's a bit harsh don't you think? That's a pretty childish thing to say. Just because you believe that some of the things are wrong doesn't mean SDA is a cult. Thanks a strong word. If you look at the majority of what SDAs believe, it matches what all other Christians believe.
P.S. I don't know anyone who has a pet Ox randomly walking next to a ditch.....(besides the point but just thought i'd throw that in. lol)

I'm curious to know the reasons teenagers invoke when deciding to do away with Ellen White--maybe they did not even read her books--they formed their opinions about her based on rumors they heard from their parents (who in many cases they,themselves, had no idea of what they believed).

The SDA church needs to reform itself away from Ellen White. When I was a member of it I noticed that most members did not really think too much of her or her books. In some ways its actually a superior church.

i attended a prophecy seminar given by the sda in arizona. the governor was enthusiastic about the seminars given here in the past. this connection bothered me. when i saw the grave marker i know why. thank you!

No it isn't a lie. It's true. They teach that there is no hell. I've had several confrontations with many of them over this. i wish they weren't saying it. but they are. If you're going to comment a video YOU should stick to the facts.

Yes. They say "Hell" means "sheol" or "the grave" just like Jehovah Witnesses teach. And these two groups go around house to house with their lies as well. "Hell" means and a place of torment until "death and hell" are cast into "the lake of fire" where the "smoke of their torment will ascend forever and ever."

JW go around house to house converting them too there cult, sda go too christian and try too convert them into there cult. Both do have one thing in common though "Let me show u the writings of our prophet" Joseph smith or jw and ellen white for the sda.

for comparison purposes it would be useful if a similar documentary can be done about doctrines of the pentacostals, anglicans, catholics(especially their statues, and other christian denominations. Then we can set up a check list from the Bible and evaluate which one ticks the most boxes as closely following the Bible. When do you want to start?

I was never an official member of this church because of the Ellen White worship. I was raised Pentecostal, which IS a cult, tried Lutheranism, Baptistism, Non-Domism, and eventually got into voodou and witch craft. I felt God was calling me out of all of that into the SDA. But I guess not. It really doesn't matter. ALL religions are bad and corrupt. I just don't care anymore. I'll go to Hell, or whatever, because the way to Hell is a lot easier to find.

Tihe money does not go to Adventist hospitals, you are right here in the US. Adventist hospitals in the US are not run by Adventists, this is ilegal. The only diference between an Adventist hospital in the US from any other is their mission statement and their chaplain. That's all. And this allegation about triple cost. I simply can't believe it because it is ilegal. A hospital will be close down within a month if they do this.

Its sad how people like the one's who did this video is trying to bring down the SDA's SDA's are christians who first of all believe in God teaching through the Bible before Ellen G White , we Use her teaching as a guid to live a better life while we follow God teaching from the BIBLE!!! We do not worship Ellen G WHite...i suggest those who watched this to watch a response video made about this one...then make your mind up on what is the truth!

I think the SDA have a lot of things right and we shouldn't judge anyone. However, Ellen G White is a false prophet and SDA should abolish all of her teachings! Its better for us to be none denominational and follow Jesus! Read Colossians 2:16

I can see where those of you who have the belief that we should only follow Christ come From. I believe the same,but don't be mislead by superficial truth. 1John 4:1 says "...test the spirits to see whether they are from God..." As Christians it is our duty to to know the facts first. Whethere there is or isn't a prophet is not a personal opinion It is for Biblical Fact to decide (if you are a christian). Be Bless!

too me using 1 John 4:1 if someone predicts Jesus return then claims God hand was over the writings or Jesus is in the Holy of holies and not heaven right now that is the sign of a false prophet. Also if a "religion" is preaching what day too worship on like its a matter of salvation then that isn't of God.

Thank you for uploading this excellent, helpful and sobering documentary. I have dear friends who are seventh-day adventists and I went along to their church and thought it was a great bible-believing church. But in one of their services they clearly denied hell! I have never again visited their church and I thank God for helping me to realize that the seventh-day adventist church is a cult to draw people away from the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

If we follow anybody or anything other than God it is a lie. We have God's Words and commands in His Scripture to know Him by. Only God knows our hearts and minds. He will be the judge of all of us. Jesus did tell us that it would not be easy, and He said that He would never leave us nor forsake us. I stand for and believe only in my Lord and Savior and He gets all of my praise and worship 24/7.

Yes the Lord knows our hearts but the Bible also states that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh (Luke 6:45). Therefore we can see by peoples words if there are abominations lying within. "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh."
