No longer available, lucky it is a beast of a rugged unit. Parts supply is limited from Newmark, however I acquired two of these Numark Hybrid units. They are insane! ... Yes, I learned on 1200's Technics ... However no longer in production. Cheers Mate!
@monkeyh20 If you are looking for a digital/vinyl solution for a reasonable price I would check out intimidation touch which can be viewed at our website (cat no. MR297484). Look out for a new blue version coming out soon too :)
@xXDJSTEVOXx Unfortunately the X2 is now discontinued, for a similar product why not check out the DVS systems we sell such as serato, traktor skratch and intimidation touch
@DjBadAssJulia Unfortunately the Numark X2 turntable is now discontinued. If you are looking for a vinyl feel for controlling cds, i can suggest a cd deck such as the dns 3700, or possibly a dvs system such as intimidation touch or serato scratch. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask :)
They perform the "exact" same way a turntable does, with the obvious added bonuses.(CD\MP3 multiple outputs etc...)You can even use the vinyl & the CD at the same time!In my opinion Numark was stupid for discontinuing these. But then again Numark seems to discontinue everything a few months after release.Gemini also makes a similar model.
can some1 who's got a piar of x2 please put a useful vid on youtube! mabey a juggle using the virtural record? basically i really want a piar but all the vids ive watched are wack and dont do the decks any favours! and all the reviews ive read make them sound like belt drive decks with a cdj stuck to the side! y they half price at HTFR? i heard its co the lazor on the CDJ is unrelyable! is there anywhere i can try b4 i buy (southwest UK). peace out
The reason they are so cheap at HTFR is because we want to be the cheapest DJ store out there and have the buying power to pass on the savings to the customer. Not because the Laser in the CD part is unreliable. In fact you get a full years warrenty with the unit. As for trying it out, you can try it out in the HTFR megastore located in Birmingham City Centre which may be possible for you to get to from your location.
There are no flight cases available at the moment to hold the Numark X2's as they require a removable panel for the cd slot. There are various companies who specialise in custom built cases who may be able to help.
i dunno wot wud be best??? the numark x2 or the stanton package in ya catalogue for £380 coz it has a 4 channel mixer but more into scratching. which one of the two wud u recomend for my style in dj'ing???
It really is personal preference when choosing a package, without you quoting reference numbers I'm unsure which package you are referring to against the one at 380, as the Numark X2 packages start from 788. Please email a full explanation to our Hardware Team, or call for further advise.
The way it works is you have the turntable on one channel and the cd part on another. This means you can mix and scratch on the one unit. Where as before you would have needed a seperate turntable or cd deck.
The Gemini CDT came out before the Numark X2, and both perform is pretty much the same way. The CDT 05 has got built in effects, which the Numark hasn't, but build quality and ease of use, the Numark X2 wins. This is one that is a favourite with us at HTFR.
We - htfr(.)com - have this for sale at only $680.55 each (approx) which is a huge saving compared to Guitar Center. Thats over $300 in savings bringing this Turntable that step closer to being in your room or club.
Both can be played on the unit at the same time. Watch the end of the video where the DJ starts with a CD and then slowly mixes in the vinyl on top of the unit. Thats the unique selling point of the unit, you don't need a seperate CD deck and turntable, it's an all in one unit.
You can pitch both. In CD mode the pitch control only alters the pitch of the CD. You set up the pitch of the CD and then swap to TT mode to alter the pitch of the vinyl. When you swap to TT the pitch of the CD is now locked and won't change whilst in TT mode.
Watch the end of the video and you will see how this is done. The unit has two out puts so using a mixer and headphones you will be able to hear both channels at once to be able to mix the cd into the vinyl.

can you also input an external source, for example can you connect an ipod or computer etc?
willem161 3 years ago
No, to do that you'd need a mixer that has those inputs as this does not come with any digital inputs.

The Numark X2 is a great turntable with all the features and build quality of other brands of turntables.

The problem you can encounter is to find a flightcase that can hold 2 X2's and a 5000fx.

If the 5000fx is a 12" mixer, check out the Marathon Pro MA-CDT12W. It holds two X2's and a 12" mixer.
