Yo Man I gotta Say JagDeo is Doing an amazing Job with Guyana. That Bridge is Very Nice. Good Architecture. I remember going on the Ferry, Good Times man.
Guyana is moving up, Everybody's got it all from Internet to Mobile to Fullscale washrooms. Coming like they living better then People in Europe and North America these days.
the ferry was cool but took to dam long, it was hectic waiting for that on the way back to the airport, the bridge saves sooo much time.. big up jagdeo for finally gettin this dun!!
If the PeePeePee can pave a road to the Venezuela and Brazil border, and build a bridge over the Essequibo River, I will vote for them in 2011. This long overdue bridge is nice, but it's nothing compared to that mega bridge the Dutch built in Paramaribo.
Nice... Why isn't there a divider if that bridge is design for two way traffic? When I was a kid living back there I really enjoyed going on the ferry.
boats have their advantages as we all have grown to find out . A bridge presents a new set of advantages and challenges. A bridge can assist commerce /trade as the Demerara Bridge has proven linking the Essequibo coast ot GT 24 Hours a day good for business. We heard that the bridge is sinking on the Guyana side thus it was closed / if this true why is this so. Was the original building location proven solid place for building instead ? Can some one provide the truth to this question ? Thanks
hey the boat is cool, i use to love traveling with that boat i know i reach new amsterdam when i see that boat, but it is nice to see the bridge, will be checking out soon this year, i hope no accident takes place on it
very nice! i will check it out very soon. but i dont think this bridge is as awesome as the wijdenboschbrug in paramaribo. on the other hand, the roads in guyana are much better than in surinam. i hope there will be bridge connecting guyana and surinam very soon.

Very nice bridge. It's a shame the bridge in Linden is pure crap.

Ya'll haven't been to Guyana I guess :-)
The Berbice River is the smaller of the two biggest rivers in Guyana.
The Essequibo is the bigger of the two, and is 12.5 miles wide at roughly the same point that this bridge crosses the Berbice (i.e. near the mouth).
Great country. I definitely recommend visiting...

@lowKut The bridge is too narrow for a divider. It does not tolerate with too much traffic like US and Canada.
