@proudtobleedblue Indeed. There were some controversial calls going both ways in this game but, especially after reviewing the film, I think they did an awesome job.
I also played in the Vegas Tourny, the blue line is nice for fast breaks but the red line off side makes for much better players and a better skilled game, more stick to stick playing no long bombs all the time.
@wirven77 That's all well and good, but if they ever want the game in the Olympics, it's needs to be more marketable and fan friendly IMO. That means opening the game up and speeding it up, which the blue line rule allows for. They also need to get rid of the whistle every time the ball goes up in the netting and just play on.
I played floating blue line in vegas this past september, absolutely loved it, hope they change the rules, just keep the contact in the game that's all.
Thanks for posting this, I'm a Montrealer who used to play in the mid 80's and have nothing but good memories. Sun and Wed. Ste. Rose Laval (outside), Tues.Verdun, Fri. Dorval, Sat Bonaventure. and Thurs I used to watch my buddies in Kirkland
I love broomball too! The save in overtime was crazy, I'm goalie and something like that happened once to me, with like 5 seconds remaining in OT and it's awesome how you feel after one of those...
I was at this game with a couple of my teamates from our intramural team...this was an awesome game! I totally remember that shot with just a couple of seconds left, I can't believe that didn't go in! Broomball is the bomb!
Why was the goal at 2:39 disallowed? Was the player in the crease before the ball?

@proudtobleedblue They ruled that the ball had been kicked into the crease.

The DVD version is much nicer btw. This format doesn't do it justice.
