I saw Kyle and Aaron and I gotta say, I think Aaron is better. There is something about Kyle's voice that just doesn't drive the message home for me. Sorry guys.
I am blessed -- just got back from NYC, where I saw Aaron in this on Tuesday and Kyle Dean Massey in Wicked on Wednesday. What I wouldn't give to live in that city...
People complain about the fact that the show uses a lot of medications in a rather haphazard way. I'm Bi-Polar and Anxious, though I'm not psychotic, and all they mention ... it reminds me of doctors' visits that I had in the past. The fact that pretty much saves this show is that NO doctor knows how to treat it, and when they find some semblance of a treatable condition they're faced with yet another problem: How will it effect the Bi-Polar?
Did you record this from the theatre? Really? Are you that stupid? Seriously, buy the CD or buy the album off of itunes if you want it that bad. Don't cheat Broadway like that.. It's like a couple days ago when I was looking up "In the Heights" on YouTube, and someone video recorded the opening number.. it's just terrible.
People do it all the time, so get used to it [not trying to sound mean, but it's the truth. Bootlegs are very popular nowadays]. Honestly, live audios from a show are what make me more interested in seeing a show or buying a soundtrack. If people enjoy listening to a bootleg, they may say to themselves, "Wow. This cast sounds great live. I really want to see this show." And buying a $120 ticket is definitely not cheating Broadway.
I agree 100%! I don't think that people are choosing bootlegs as a way of replacing the experience of seeing the show live. I think that they are a great way for people who have no chance whatsoever of seeing the show in person. I'm scouring youtube for bootlegs from this show, but I'd love to drop everything, fly to NYC and pay full price for a great seat. Unfortunately that won't happen this moment (and Aaron's not in the show right now). Til I get to see it live, I bought the soundtrack!!!!
I agree, if I had the money I would so fly to NYC right now, well when Aaron returns of course, and see the show, but I just don't have the money! ...
Even though Aaron is not in it currently, Kyle Dean Massey does a fabulous job. I saw this show on Saturday and from the songs I've looked up today, I think Kyle has done a better job. His voice is beautiful and so complimentary to all the other actors.
simple...dont listen to it. some people are not rich snotty people that can afford itunes. so fuck off...nobody is making you watch or listen to the bootlegs...so yet again...fuck off
Normally, I'm all for exposure of Broadway shows through DVD recordings, etc, but I feel it's different for N2N. Half of the experience of N2N is the shock value, and although I'm sure many people would see the show on Broadway after watching a DVD, the experience would be different.
Fair enough. But I think the main market in N2N's case would be people who had seen it and/or people who haven't seen it because we live in Colorado but know a lot about it and think it is amazing and wish we could see it. =P
I should have added that since I live in New York, I have the opportunity to see the show on Broadway, while many people from around the country (and the world) don't.
ya, I have the recording, I love it, I read up on it, and I can see what you mean by "shock value." But even after reading a full synopsis I still really REALLY want to see this, and I am still engaged in it, and will probably still cry
i appreciate that but chances are i'll never make it there to see it. or any other big city performance. small town canada probably won't pick up the rights to something like this for a LOOOOONG time (despite the fact that my small town is theatre obsessed.). so the dvd will be all i'll have.

where I came from? You don't even get to hear about Broadway unless it's through a bootleg.
