The only reason the Mets are struggling right now is because of all the injuries they have to deal with. Jose Reyes, Carlos Delgado, JJ Putz, John Maine. These guys are crucial to the teams success. Their starting pitching is fine, their lineup is okay, with a few weak spots. The problem once again with the Mets are their bullpen. They just blew 2 games against the Phillies that the Mets should have won.
Halladay is the best, sorry bud, not a debate at this point... Even as clutch as it was, it was a bit of a stroke of luck, how often will Omir Santos hit a go ahead homer off Papelbon in the 9th? Not often... Sox played better over a course of three games than the Mets did...

Maine in my opinion belongs in the bullpen as a long reliever. Livan & Redding? They're just not gonna cut it if the Mets really wanna make a run to not only become the NL East Champions again, but to make it far in the playoffs period. They need to make significant changes in their starting rotation before the trade deadline.

I am really happy you get to play at Shea Stadium as well. I loved that stadium, but I also like Citi Field, and it looks amazing in real life and in the game. The only thing they should put in is that the foul poles need to be Orange as they are in real life.

The foul poles at the real Citifield are painted orange. Also the padding on the outfield walls in this game is blue. In the real stadium they are painted black and have an orange line across the top of the wall.

KRod? Best closer ever? Idiot. You DONT know your team. The best closer ever is a toss up between Rivera and Hoffman. Santana is the second best to Halladay, but he is irrelevant because the bullpen STILL SUCKS. Mike Lowell has been better than David Wright this year. Reyes is not a terrific hitter but he can sure run. He is as fast as Ellsbury. Delgado is too old, believe me the Mets would rather have Jorge Cantu rather than him, not to mention Kevin Youkilis. Papelbon > K-Rod. Sox are better.

this year rivera is horrible. im not saying he used to be good but this year is just pathetic. every time the yankees put him in he always messes up. Delgado is not that old cause he gets home runs and many base hits. kevin youkilis has like a .392 average but beltran has a .382 so they aren't that much apart. mike lowell may be a good hitter but he doesn't have what wright has... awesome reflexes to make amazing catches. krod has been put to the test 4 saves in 4 games and he got them all.
