I will never understand the total devotion and love for the 90s X-Men. Maybe because I was 18 or so when it came out, but I never cared for the animation or voice acting of the show. I've watched some of this one, and it is enjoyable if just a tad too much Wolverine for my tastes.

They way they left season 1 off make it look like season 2 really good. But i couldn't see this show going to long. The X-Men really didnt have many good stories that didnt involve other superheroes.
I agree with everyone on dis page wolverine is very over rated i like lesser known x-men like angel and havok wolverine is to pop culture stan lee need to realize that the x-men were great way before some short guy with knifes coming out of his hands came along
like octbaby88 said, the "modern" x-men cartoons and the movies focus too much on wolverine, and look how they turned out.........terrible. the x-men are the coolest comic book heroes and should be viewed as a team, the show of the the 90's is still the best, but could it could be a little more dark, like for teens, save all that y7 attitude for a different show. And btw any one agree with how bad the drawings are it's like every "new show" tries to modernize their drawings and they all suck
@Luigi2088 Evolution spread it out to all characters with rogue, kitty and night crawler being the focus. 90s was focused more on wolverine especially the first two seasons and i havent watched much of wolverine and the X-men either. the movies ,beside origins, focused on rogue and the Xavier school as a whole. Also, i can say by your logic wolverine's 90s look SUCKS cause it wasn't the original outfit from his first appearance in hulk but a modernized alteration for the 70's

Jean can use the phoenix force to resurrect Emma. I hope Emma does come back too. Personally I would love to see Jean and Emma fighting side by side. Although if Emma does indeed come back, you know there is going to be a love triangle!

This is a well put together team. Cyclops, Emma Frost, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Beast, Shadowcat, Angel, Storm and Wolverine. I too would've wanted Colossus, Rouge and Gambit to be part of the team. Storm is a little boring for me.
If any of you are interested you should try reading Ultimate X-Men. It's no longer running but i've just started reading it and it's v good, for all of you marvel and X-Men fans out there =)
I like Wolvie, not because of the comics,but because of H.J. in the first 2 movies,but by the same token,when these stupid studio big wigs over glorify him by doing stuff like taking on Hulk or chopping off a Sentinel's head (he can, just not with 1 blow) in 1 swoop,I feel like saying "Eat Shit and Die Wolverine! And take your over zelous fan boys to, same fan boys who like to keep kissing your ass",when is enough going to be enough...Wolverine is COOLER when his antics are more believable.
@JohnnySullivan You know Wolverine first appeared in a Hulk comic & they fought to a stand-still, right? He can fight the Hulk, no problem. Look at what Tim Roth's character did in the new Hulk movie after he took the super-soldier serum. Wolverine is just as fast & agile. He has more than just healing/heightened senses, everything about him is peaked to human perfection.
Capt A, Spider-Man.. several of Marvel's heroes can tangle with the Hulk. (But not beat him because you can't beat the Hulk)

I enjoy Wolverine & The X-Men a lot more than the films because the creators of this series had the decency to name it with said title so we know what to expect: Wolverine the protagonist and the X-Men the sidekicks. As far as the movies go the title "X-Men" is rather misleading since they are NOT in ANY way about the X-Men but about Wolverine for 2 hours per film which sucks! The comics and cartoons portrayed the X-Men as a team, something the movies never did.
I don't get it. Why has it been released in other countries and not the US? I found the whole season in Spanish, a total of 26 episodes, and only 12 in English ... I'm glad to understand Spanish, but darn it, its such a great show, I want to watch it in English!
Series looks great, other than the lack of Jean. Not that I cared much for her but she's still a cool character, and a vital one to the whole plot of X-men. Or is there something I'm not getting here? Haven't really started watching it yet. ;P
Oh and I also don't like how Rogue is a spy for the Brotherhood and with the X-men at the same time... >.>
Oh and by the way don't let the name of the show fool you, its not wolverine 24/7 which I was afraid of, there's one episode that's all nightcrawler, though I do wish the name was changed, when you watch the how you understand why they focus on wolverine.
Ive watch some of the episodes, and was blown away, lets just say there's an episode with a Gambit,wolverine team up and a kick ass introduction to nightcrawler, it reminds me of the 90's version but better animation and a little more violence.
I am really ticked off that Colossus isn't part of the X-Men. He's physically the most powerful X-Man of all! Colossus is so damn strong he could lift at least 100 tons, making him strong enough to trade some blows with powerful monsters like Hulk and Juggernaut! Leaving Colossus out of the show as one of our main heroes is clearly WRONG.
Well, Colossus isn't quite that strong. He took on the Hulk and had both of his arms broken like twigs. Nothing stops the Hulk. However, he can hold step with the Thing and Juggernaut, and is no doubt the X-Men's blunt instrument. To not have him as a weekly cast member is a shame and stupid.
Good point. Anyone but Angel. All he can do is fly when he's in his non-Apocolypse altered form. I know he's one of the core X-Men from the very first books, but at the same time one of the least powerful. Oh well.
Another thing is that he never had any great moments in the comic nor does hold an interesting plot line in his character other than being a horseman. although, psylocke is in it... i don't know if shes part of the group though since she was fighting against emma frost.
this show is awesome its way way way better than evolution it reminds me of the 90's series where every episode is diffrent from the rest focusing on one its great already seen the first 9 episodes must watch

From what i've read on wikipedia about the cartoon it sounds like it could be even better than the 90s cartoon was. Looks like Emma Frost will take the place of jean grey and that favorites like Storm, Gambit, and Prof. X will be more in suporting roles. Too bad cuz Storm and Gambit are my favorites. It also appears as though Rogue is with the bad guys this time around.
I like the fact that rogue is one of the bad guys again, not because I don't like her to be a heroine, but I have so much respect for her past and how she was then, maybe as the series last longer you might see her evolve to be part of the x-men as how the comics went
I've never seen this, but I think the 90's animated version was the best. Loved that show, it was bloody awesome. The starting theme for it was absolutely unforgettable.
IT'S ABOUT FRIGGIN TIME MAN. Marvel had lost it for a long time with a lot of watered down stupid kiddie sh*t and i refused to watch and/or buy any of it. teenage x-men indeed... Meanwhile DC was batting 1000. finally it looks as if they have fired whomever thought that catering to CHILDREN was the way to go... and have gotten back to what makes marvel great and has for over 50yrs.

I liked the 90's series it actually covered most of the story arcs in the comics and this doesn't take place after evolution. I didn't like evolution considering they were teenagers and the whole mutant discrimination element was later shown in the series and mister sinister wasn't in evolution. The sentinels had a minor role and apocalypse only had a major role at the end of the series.

WRONG! This series is good, definitely an upgrade from the disaster that was X-MEN: Evolution, but everyone knows the 90's X-MEN series was the best book-to-screen adaptation of ANY animated show ever! I've seen the first 6 episodes as they're currently airing in Canada & have been leaked online. It's a great show so far (much better than I expected), but it doesn't top X-MEN the animated series.
The series in the 90s was a joke dude...I might be a lil biased, but Wolverine was a total scrub in the old one. If your a Wolverine fan this is waaaay better than the old one.

I agree. The 90's version sucked big time and took more liberties than evolution did. Atleast Evolution was written well which can't be said for the 90's version it was awful. I'm really looking forward to this show though. Lokks like it takes place a little after Evolution and before the 90's version. So this should fill out all the holes nicely. CitySon comics are hitting the mainstream and there are tons of people jumping on the band wagon and picking up titles of characters that are popular like Wolverine and Hulk. The 90's series was gold and really followed Jim Lees art work.
Hey, since Wolverine is so popular they should make him the leader of the Avengers, then share him with DC and make him leader of the Justice League too. They should redo Marvel vs DC and have Wolverine be "The only one who can save us". Yeah, that's a great idea. Good God ENOUGH already.

Uh, you're forgetting the X-Men Animated Series in the 90s, too. That with Spider-Man and Batman remain some of the best comic book cartoons to date. I would say that the old X-Men cartoon can stand shoulder to shoulder with any DC cartoon, even more so since it tackled a lot more sociopolitical themes than DC cartoons.

My favourite is evolution, sorry for everyone who doesn't like it ^^u
But this one, well, at first I was crying for the argh face of Nightcrawler, my fav character, but well...after a few episodes, I can watch him XD

IMO, X-men Evolution had 2 many loose ends here and there.
This is the best super hero series of the 21th century. X-men: TAS ruled the planet in its time, but this is the breed of that.

I enjoy Wolverine & The X-Men a lot more than the films because the creators of this series had the decency to name it with said title so we know what to expect: Wolverine the protagonist and the X-Men the sidekicks. As far as the movies go the title "X-Men" is rather misleading since they are NOT in ANY way about the X-Men but about Wolverine for 2 hours per film which sucks! The comics and cartoons portrayed the X-Men as a team, something the movies never did.

I don't get it. Why has it been released in other countries and not the US? I found the whole season in Spanish, a total of 26 episodes, and only 12 in English ... I'm glad to understand Spanish, but darn it, its such a great show, I want to watch it in English!

Series looks great, other than the lack of Jean. Not that I cared much for her but she's still a cool character, and a vital one to the whole plot of X-men. Or is there something I'm not getting here? Haven't really started watching it yet. ;P
Oh and I also don't like how Rogue is a spy for the Brotherhood and with the X-men at the same time... >.>

Oh and by the way don't let the name of the show fool you, its not wolverine 24/7 which I was afraid of, there's one episode that's all nightcrawler, though I do wish the name was changed, when you watch the how you understand why they focus on wolverine.

Ive watch some of the episodes, and was blown away, lets just say there's an episode with a Gambit,wolverine team up and a kick ass introduction to nightcrawler, it reminds me of the 90's version but better animation and a little more violence.

I am really ticked off that Colossus isn't part of the X-Men. He's physically the most powerful X-Man of all! Colossus is so damn strong he could lift at least 100 tons, making him strong enough to trade some blows with powerful monsters like Hulk and Juggernaut! Leaving Colossus out of the show as one of our main heroes is clearly WRONG.

Well, Colossus isn't quite that strong. He took on the Hulk and had both of his arms broken like twigs. Nothing stops the Hulk. However, he can hold step with the Thing and Juggernaut, and is no doubt the X-Men's blunt instrument. To not have him as a weekly cast member is a shame and stupid.

Good point. Anyone but Angel. All he can do is fly when he's in his non-Apocolypse altered form. I know he's one of the core X-Men from the very first books, but at the same time one of the least powerful. Oh well.

Another thing is that he never had any great moments in the comic nor does hold an interesting plot line in his character other than being a horseman. although, psylocke is in it... i don't know if shes part of the group though since she was fighting against emma frost.

From what i've read on wikipedia about the cartoon it sounds like it could be even better than the 90s cartoon was. Looks like Emma Frost will take the place of jean grey and that favorites like Storm, Gambit, and Prof. X will be more in suporting roles. Too bad cuz Storm and Gambit are my favorites. It also appears as though Rogue is with the bad guys this time around.

I like the fact that rogue is one of the bad guys again, not because I don't like her to be a heroine, but I have so much respect for her past and how she was then, maybe as the series last longer you might see her evolve to be part of the x-men as how the comics went

I've never seen this, but I think the 90's animated version was the best. Loved that show, it was bloody awesome. The starting theme for it was absolutely unforgettable.

IT'S ABOUT FRIGGIN TIME MAN. Marvel had lost it for a long time with a lot of watered down stupid kiddie sh*t and i refused to watch and/or buy any of it. teenage x-men indeed... Meanwhile DC was batting 1000. finally it looks as if they have fired whomever thought that catering to CHILDREN was the way to go... and have gotten back to what makes marvel great and has for over 50yrs.

bit the same how they did it with iron man, they make a movie RL and also make a cartoon movie if him.
it also has to do with the whole aim, Xavier is gone and wolverine takes over, which is pretty hard as you can see in the first trailer. :DD

I liked the 90's series it actually covered most of the story arcs in the comics and this doesn't take place after evolution. I didn't like evolution considering they were teenagers and the whole mutant discrimination element was later shown in the series and mister sinister wasn't in evolution. The sentinels had a minor role and apocalypse only had a major role at the end of the series.

WRONG! This series is good, definitely an upgrade from the disaster that was X-MEN: Evolution, but everyone knows the 90's X-MEN series was the best book-to-screen adaptation of ANY animated show ever! I've seen the first 6 episodes as they're currently airing in Canada & have been leaked online. It's a great show so far (much better than I expected), but it doesn't top X-MEN the animated series.

You must be joking. The niinties version is a complete joke even Stan Lee hates it. Evolution was way better than that silly nineties cartoon. Wolverine hogged all the screen time and other x-men like Beast, Gambit and Jubilee suffered because of it. This new cartoon is looking good though

I agree. The 90's version sucked big time and took more liberties than evolution did. Atleast Evolution was written well which can't be said for the 90's version it was awful. I'm really looking forward to this show though. Lokks like it takes place a little after Evolution and before the 90's version. So this should fill out all the holes nicely. Does anyone know when its due?

CitySon comics are hitting the mainstream and there are tons of people jumping on the band wagon and picking up titles of characters that are popular like Wolverine and Hulk. The 90's series was gold and really followed Jim Lees art work.

Hey, since Wolverine is so popular they should make him the leader of the Avengers, then share him with DC and make him leader of the Justice League too. They should redo Marvel vs DC and have Wolverine be "The only one who can save us". Yeah, that's a great idea. Good God ENOUGH already.

Uh, you're forgetting the X-Men Animated Series in the 90s, too. That with Spider-Man and Batman remain some of the best comic book cartoons to date. I would say that the old X-Men cartoon can stand shoulder to shoulder with any DC cartoon, even more so since it tackled a lot more sociopolitical themes than DC cartoons.
