speaking as a third party outsider with no personal interest in the matter, it's all personal choice: some people like some artists and others don't. because there's music you don't like that doesn't mean it's bad, just bad for you. personally, i don't understand metal music but that doesn't mean i tell people who like it that it's bad or uninteresting. just to reiterate, this is in no way an attack, this is just one of my pet peeves so I thought i'd voice my opinion. :)

Alison Sudol is a very talented and intelligent young lady who certainly did not get famous for appearing on YouTube. She graduated high school at the age of sixteen and taught herself how to play the piano and formed her own band by age eighteen. Her talent was so great that Mr. Jason Flom of Virgin Records came to her house to give her a record deal and she has enjoyed wonderful international success and recognition since her first album was released a few years ago.
