I gotta say, I think of cops in general as little more than legally-sanctioned thugs unworthy of trust much less respect--but though I don't smoke myself (I'm a life-long Copenhagen dipper) there's something about a pipe-smoking cop that seems much more human and less like a paramilitarized dick. I wish that's how most cops were.
