@SHOGUNX8 The video clip to DVNO is based on logos and station IDs from the 1980s. Some examples found in the DVNO clip are 20th Century Fox, Turner Entertainment, NBC, PBS, Sega, Audi, Universal Studios, CBS Fox and HBO. Well spotted.
Damn, what happened to the quality of todays idents? I think it all started going downhill when Seven stole NBC's "rainbow people" theme. The NBC version was soooooo much better than the tripe Seven tried to pass off.
atn-7 ... this promo is very well done. i love the graphics and how the 7 digit is passing thru the rings with the flying dots and the finishing reflection at the end...
I wonder if the original concept was to eventually drop the 7 name and branding to be replaced with psuedo NBC ID's with a new logo, like they used for 7's movie openers for a time.
Nah - Bloke who done the NBC intro also issued it to the rest of the world. Here in the UK The Movie Channel Intro was almost the same as the NBC intro it just did not have the NBC logo or music...
Actually the Australian Television Network predated Skase by many years - 1963, in fact. If anything, Skase killed off ATN as a name by uniting the various Channel 7 operations under the Seven Network name and logo.
Does Anybody Have One with Let's Celebrate '88, instead of Australian Television Network.
