  • I'm a librarian...I'm actually The Daring Librarian!! #cuesoundeffect & I've blogged about how *Wikipedia Isn't Wicked!* This video shows the power of crowdsourcing! Educators & College profs should re-evaluate their Wikipedia prejudice & teach source evaluation instead! My 2 cents!

    Cheers!

  • neVer forgeT

  • @S0c0J0e yeah never forget cho

  • I watched this video 2 years ago, I am watching it again. Still Amazing.

  • They made it a featured article, the dumb cunts!

  • Whats the song please man??!

  • I could tell you here, or I could point you towards the video description...

  • in the description

  • It says the name of the song please man??!

  • "tuff ghost" by the unicorns.

  • creepy... it's like watching history being written while it happens...

  • Interesting concept. May I ask, what was the frequency of the screenshots?

  • thank you

  • two-point-whoa!

the interwebs at work.. great vid

  • Neat idea.

  • in your youtube profile were it says welcome to my channel i just wanted to know summat were it tells you channel views is that how many channels i have looked at or how many other people have looked at it if it is what i have looked at then there is a girl on youtube who seems to think its what other people have looked at who's right please let me know thanx

  • hahaha thats awesome. *claps* for you.

  • i was only asking just to prove you wrong

  • The information came pouring in.

  • ahahah how fucked up are u??

  • ok?

  • I don't think this has any political message whatsoever, it's more about the responsiveness of a new era of social culture - one that allows for collaboration to create the news.

  • RIP VTECH

  • Well, seems ur right. Administrator Isotope23 has it stamped on his user page as of today's date January 27 that he is on an indefinite hiatus after being caught unjustly banning someone by another admin. Before that, he originally had Isotope is leaving the building when because of an unjust ban. I wouldn't visit wikipedia ever if this is how it runs

  • wish they'd fix all the problems with that site. They have the controversies to prove that the site has serious problems. Particular these admins need to go. The admins currently running the site have proven that the form of adminship needs to be changed. Robert Ullmann, Jpgordon, Isotope23, Kwsn, Spebi, Ryulong hateful admins that constantly have absued their duties as administrator. Some non-admin users are bad enough, such as Ckatz and HiDrNick, but now they get to block. YIKES

  • wow, that's a really cool time lapse idea!

  • great song! cool vid!

  • I love how this guys first reaction when 30 some people are gunned down.

News anchor: ". . .Leaving 33 people dead.'

Guy: "Oh, I'm going to go make a time lapse of this event on a wikipedia article!"

    So on and so forth

  • I love how the page "evolves" or "grows"...Wicked cool

  • Nicely done.

    Plus I love the unicorns.

  • Wikipedia is a great resource for current events and other stuff. But if you want in-depth information on a topic you best head to a library. Also, once you're in college, any encyclopedia is not considered a citable source.

  • Comment removed

  • Hahahaha, dude....... you are SOOOO right.... either that or you paraphrase wiki..... or better yet, if the creator lists his sources well, just cite those...

  • LMAO, that's what I do for almost all my school projects.

  • @cvu91 That may be true for USA, but here in Norway, many schools both Universities and High Schools accept wikipedia as a relatively reliable source. We are told to use it is an important source, though we are encouraged to match it with other sources to validate as much as possible.

  • @cvu91 a lie...brary? what is this strange thing you speak of?

  • ah, the magic of wikipedia.

    & the unicorns rock!

  • Wikipedia is a joke. It's "experts" are often shown to be know-nothings with "for dummies" books as references, facts are ignored when they don't fit with popular opinion, and their "moderators" are not moderate being biased only to their own opinion.

Scour your local flea markets for old $10 CDs of 1990s encyclopedias. They'll be more accurate and trustworthy.

  • Spooky.

  • wahooooooooooooo

  • ahh yes...the ever reliable dictionarty

  • Is this a live performance of Tuff Ghost? It's more badass than any of the versions I've heard from them including the studio version

  • Good Tunes

  • cool, and the unicorns RULE

  • Guess it sucks that Wikipedia is now listed higher for Reliable Information than the Webster Dicitonarty.

  • haha lol nice

  • LOL, weird song

  • thats pretty cool :)

  • Awesome video, very fresh idea.

Amazing to see the article growing like a living organism.

  • @economistBR grow like my penis?

  • wow, that's a really cool time lapse idea!

  • You are a sick cunt. Fuck you. What did we do? You are murderers, not Gods crusaders. You are promoting hate and you are a disease to the world.

  • aoaooa!

  • right...

  • That's pretty cool.

  • good thinking you clinical bastard

  • heh...his using Vista...

  • Nobody's perfect.

  • or maybe xp with vista theme...like me

  • I cant read anything. Thats what i watched it for.

  • this is quite incredible, i went on wikipedia a few hours after the kent earthquake and it had all the facts that were just appearing on the news

  • big deal, thats what life is man. events. no need for the hard on..........

  • I like that. This vid shows how the story developed in the media and quickly was translated to a wiki page. The soundtrack is ominous but forward-moving too. Thanks for this.

  • People say, "Wikipedia is un-reliable because anyone can edit it". Well, you just proved my point. If someone can change something to make it in-accurate, then some one can change it back just as easily (actually even more easily, that's how the software was developed).

    It works.

  • The first twelve hours, huh? Just out of curiosity, how often did you take screen shots?

  • This was absolutely the WORST movie ever made in Holland and Ive seen them all!

Being Dutch myself I am ashamed that this videoclip type movie was made with

a lot of Dutch effort actors production and of course locations

The story and the acting are so bad and corny that I first thought they made it

as an experimental joke. But they mean it! The biggest stunt in is when Skeet Ullrich rides his bicycle into a canal!

My advice: DONT bother renting this one, its horrible.

  • Huh?

  • lmao indeed, wtf? haha

  • lol

  • lol xP

  • this is ace.

  • Ummm, who's the one commenting on something they think is a waste of time? I don't comment on useless crap. Why go to the trouble? Just go look at something else.

  • you're writing youtube comments and you're telling someone else to get a life

  • "Tuff Ghost" by The Unicorns

  • 3 words - get a life

  • And you obviously have none if your willing to post that.

  • Stop being a douchebag, he was just doing an experiment. You wouldn't walk up to somebody studying the mating rituals of chimps and tell them to get a life, would you?

  • HEY GUYS, WHAT'S THE SONG CALLED?

  • who gives a crap

  • I thought it sounded like an Islands song. Could be The Unicorns.

  • The song is "Tuff Ghost" by the Unicorns.

  • If you hit "more" on the description, it shows the song name, you dolts...

  • The song is "Tuff Ghost" by the Unicorns.

  • Wikipedia isn't reliable

  • As opposed to...?

  • it's more reliable than some anonymous comment-box smart-alec.

  • It may not be reliable, but then again, are we only supposed to trust men in suits with money and fake degrees? I think it's an interesting social experiment; as an attempt to truly democratize the processing and sharing of information, it works. When people put up bullshit, anyone can come along and say, "Hey, that's bullshit!" and fix it.

  • No, you can't. If your corrections don't agree with the "moderators", they get removed, even if you've got the facts and references to back them up.

Wikipiddly is a democracy, alright...whatever is popular opinion is the "truth", no matter how wrong it is. That's also called "tyranny of the majority".

  • well, welcome to America...

  • (oops, is Wikipoo an american company??)

  • @zxcv1234vcxz My understanding is that Wikipedia is supposed to be as neutral as possible.

  • Awesome awesome AWESOME. Can you do a tutorial on how you made this?

  • very nice

  • once we get the internet wired to our brains it'll be a lot faster muahahhahahahha!

  • the track is by the band "The Unicorns" from Canada if anyone wants to know.

  • Song is 'Tuff Ghost' by the Unicorns.

  • cool

  • awesome

  • wow thats really cool, whats the song called? thnx

  • Song is 'Tuff Ghost' by the Unicorns.

  • It's by The Unicorns

  • Tuff Ghost - The Unicorns.

  • What's the song? It sounds like a bad mix of Pulp's "the Fear."

  • nub, its the unicorns.

  • last comment not showing can you post the artist and song name?

  • It seems like you just did one frame per revision. It'd be interesting to see the video proportional to the time each revision was active.

  • 5 stars

  • plox post the music to the vid srsly

  • Awesome song choice!!

  • run chico run!
