The lead guitarist is the one screwing up the harmonies. The guy on Brent's right is singing the actual melody (for the most part), while Brent is singing the lower harmony with some of the melody mixed in (during the chorus). The guy on his left isn't having a very good day here...

Well, two points of view on Brent's live performances. This band released acoustic versions of Simple Man, 45, Save Me, I Dare You, and Some Day. They should definitely release one for Second Chance after watching this. The acoustic version would be awesome!

lol. I can agree during there live band sets, he often tries to hit notes he cant live, but acoustically he does a phenominal job because he doesnt try to hit high notes, he just stays in key. And what he does is interesting to hear. The studio version of their new album is so poppy, its good to hear their acoustic sets. It feels like theres some soul in it

This is an acoustic version of the song. Listen to the other versions.  Most bands do perform their songs differently acoustically and this one is very good acoustically. Yes, this song is sung quite high, but for certain occasions, the song is changed for that mood.

There's this thing called voice fatigue, he's probably conserving what voice he had that day. Of course he can hit those notes, but the voice is just like any other muscle, it's gotta' be rested sometimes. So yeah, he doesn't hit the notes here, but I think he does damn well to compesate for it.

This my favorite new band. The whole new CD is awesome. I think this a great acoustic performance. Keep in mind that these guys are usually sleeping at this time after a show, so they may have been a little sleepy, but still great.

it never used to be like that, and personally i don't think that's the way it is now, all of his acoustic performances were such a better showcase for his amazing voice. but it's harder for him to do the little changes to the acoustic stuff that made it feel much more personal when he's got back up singers. That's why this is my favorite performance of this song yet, its got some of those little changes, a throw back to the old stuff
