This film was released the same week as a re-release of "Sleeping Beauty." This film only made $8 million compared to the $15 million "Sleeping Beauty" made, which was pretty good for a limited re-release back then. I can see why more parents took their children to "Sleeping Beauty" instead of this. "Sleeping Beauty" had better animation, a better plot, and better characters. Plus, this song is certainly no "Once Upon a Dream" or "I Wonder."

@TheLostLenore It's been ages since I watched this movie (over & over & over again) but if memory serves me correctly, the care bears & cousins did grow up together but were separated and forgot their past. This song comes at the end when they remember. I think a narrator explains it. The cousins had even forgotten their roars hold the same power as the care bear stare. My sister, brothers, and I often made up our own story to fill in plot holes so this explanation could be complete bunk but

Umm how did the cousins and bears hang out with each other when they were babies? I have never actually questioned this before, just accepted it but now that I look at it we are shown the cousins live in the Forest of Feelings and the Care Bears in Care-A-Lot and didn't meet each other till they had all grown up so how is it their playing with each other as babies?

The new series is okay, but this is SO much better. BTW, does anyone know what Care Bear is at 1:19? The one eating the cake? It has to be a Care Bear, because the Bears have Star Buddies, and the Cousins have Heart Buddies.

It's a blue bow. Loyalheart, in another part of the movie, had a blue bow too and he's a boy. I heard some people do that. Anyhow it's just a cartoon. Just ride with it lol.
