Good job that you are getting into this at a young age. Stick to it and you will be pro before you leave high school. I'm 25 and just got into Video Editing and movie Making wish I did when I was your age.
Keep practicing kid, you'll be a great video editor some day if you keep working towards it. I as well like to make videos all the time, but if there is one special effects package i would recommend for you, it would be Action Essentials 2. Look it up sometime if you want, and Subscribe to my channel if your interested :)
@CarsonVtug Thanks! I myself have also been looking at Action Essentials 2, but unfortunately I don't have the money at the moment. I used the free trial of Final Cut X to test it out, but now I use Motion 5 now. It's cheaper, and it offers way more of what I want.
i have the kodak zi8 also, as well as the playsport, i got them both on sale for 85 bucks each (at different times), a steal! anyway, cool. I have magix movie edit pro and vegas pro (still trying to figure them out, ;-| ).
Looks like you had some serious fun creating those special effects. Well done! What software did you use? Was the green background (green screen) a green sheet? What video camera are you using? I am using a camera that records in 720p. Seems your pretty creative, and i don't think you need elaborate equipment o achieve some spectacular special effects in your video. What is the project your working on? Anyway, enjoyed your energy and intelligence, i am looking forward to more.
@danlnad I used Final Cut Pro X on the Mac to edit it, but it was only the 30 day trial so I won't have it for long. I will go back to iMovie soon along with Motion 5. The green screen background was just a sheet of green from a fabric store. The camera I use is the Kodak Zi8. Kodak stopped production of the Zi8 but you can still buy one on eBay or Amazon. The Zi8 shoots in full 1080p as well as 720p. I will be releasing videos soon and I'm glad you liked it!
